why isnt rowan a tree?

ok, this may be a very boring discussion,
and as its my first thread im not even sure its meant to go on here....

but... ive always wondered
how come professor rowan isnt named by a tree?

notice how you have professors like:
oak
elm
birch
and even ivy (from the orange islands)

but whats with rowan?

well, enough of me ranting about useless stuff like always
i wanna hear why you think they didnt name the professor after a plant
(even though probably most of you lot might not even care XD)

Believe it or not, Rowan is actually a tree. It's just not a popular one.

In the anime though, Prof. Rowan really isn't my favorite, unlike Prof. Oak and Prof. Birch who are.

Well now, I suppose you know now that it is a tree. Though, I will advise you that this isn't the correct place to post this thread. Maybe in Pokémon General or DPPt but I don't care enough to see which is the correct forum. Probably DPPt though.
