This way, flinch is more viable and not restricted away from slower Pokemon? What do you guys think?
Hey shootingfoul, since this is discussing something that only pertains to the games, I'm going to move this thread over to Pokemon Gaming Central for you! This way, flinch is more viable and not restricted away from slower Pokemon? What do you guys think?
Do you mean have it only happen on the opponent's next move, or have it happen on the opponent's next move if the Pokemon moves second?
Honestly, I could see something that's not exactly flinching, but similar that would work with this, logically. I mean in the game there's lots of thinking between moves, a long pause, etc., but it's meant to represent a fast-paced battle. Even if the other Pokemon is slower it will take advantage of a flinch. I could see it giving the slower Pokemon the first move in the next round. That would make the flinch make logical sense, without making it sound weird.
