Why Trainer limit to 6 pokeball?

Why Trainer limit to 6 pokemon in pokeball? i know it made for battle but i was thinking why they limit how many pokeball you can carrey with you. they could make a system you have to setup your team before battle then swap them out. when end of the battle

Balance. That's it. The 6 pokemon at a time keeps the gameplay balanced. That's really all there is to why you have to go to a PC to change your team.

It's basically what Kitten said, the reason we as Trainers only get to carry 6 Pokemon at a time is for balance. Too many Pokemon would be hard to train at once won't it?
