It was an all right episode. I liked the Johto TR BGM used in it, made the battle a bit(not much) more suspensful.
The Work it Baby comment by James was a bit odd. The animation was all right.
Uh, Wobuffet's singing was cute, but I felt sorry for it when Jessie and james kept yelling at it.

I thought it was "Why? Wynaut?" XD Anyway, I love Wobby's little brother. Never really been fond of bagde finding episodes. You'd think that after this Ash would have tried to keep them safe. I did like the episode though, I throughly enjoyed that they kept Clair for it too and decided to showcase another pokemon from houen Early^^

Normally I dont comment on these threads but this episode bugged me
Clair not only sounded different in the dub but she was drawn a bit different. It was like a new Clair. A Clair I didn't know.
I wonder what went on there.
I like James' nanny joke about Wobbuffet's drawing of Wynaut. I still remember it to this day.

The dubbers made a mistake with the episode card and spelled it "Why? Why not!" instead of Wynaut.I thought it was "Why? Wynaut?"

Actually, I think 4Kids was going for the phonetics, as "why not" sounds the same as Wynaut. Must we have every episode title be a Pokemon pun? Heh. At least, this one was more clever than usual.
I definitely enjoyed this episode, particularly the Wobbuffet singing. It's one of my favorite scenes in the whole franchise. Capped by the delightful Wynant/Wobbuffet conversation. It reoccurred in the fifth movie short, but it wasn't as awesome as it was here. At least, for my money.
As for the badge finding aspect, rather odd they'd repeat it as it was just done with Murkrow 30-40 episodes ago. Except, here, there's plot (Clair informing about the Silver Conference and the wrap up of the Wynaut subplot). Silly, silly writers.

I remember my Cablebox guide called it "Why? Wynaut?!" I guess I'm so used to the puns thing I tuned out the title card when I saw it. XD
@Charaxes: It's because it's Johto, the ridiculously long region that took about 3-4 years to finish. They have to recycle premises to keep it that long and apparently Ash's stupid acts stretching into a half an hour amuse the audience. Besides remember they had it happen with Whiscash and with Snorunt.

Cable guides are funny like that.
My comment was more "at the time" (which is how I usually conduct these type of episode discussions) but, yes, you're right, as it would be repeated within the same arc. Although, this was... more special, given the plot elements and the fun Wob/Wyn banter.

I think you are right, any this was an interesting episode, except I don't like the Wynaut species in Pokemon much, especially when it is you opponent.
