Wi-fi on IV Gen games

    I am considering buying Platinum but I don't have any of the IV Gen games and I would like to know a bit more about the Wi-fi and wirless trading capabilities the game has before I buy it.

    What I would like to know is.

    1. What console do you need? Do you need a DSi or will just a DS do?
    2. What can you do on the wireless and what can't you do?
    3. Do you need to do anything at home to your wireless internet to get it to work?
    4. What are your opinions on the Wi-fi and how it compares to direct trading etc. ?
    I tried looking it up else where but didn't understand what I found.

    1. either system works
    2. wireless can be used for the union room, battle area (both top floor of pokemon center) or the underground
    3. you just need to work out the wifi settings on your DS/DSi, it is all pretty self explanatory
    4. Wi-fi really helps when you need a certain pokemon and really expands your trading abilities as well as battling

    All you need to do to get it to work is to configure the wireless on the DS the same as you would on your computer, i.e. locate your wireless modem and enter your WEP security key.
