4th Gen Wierd symbol in the status screen

    Something weird happened... I have a Spiritomb, and when I look at his Summary, next to his picture I see something that looks kinda like a bored smiley.

    Now, I think it's because he has Pokerus, which I know he has, but then something else happened.

    I put him in the PC, did some other stuff (don't quite remember what) and when I returned to withdraw him, he was gone!

    Are these things related? And if so, what can I do to fix it?
     
    The similey means he has recovered from the pkrus but I'm not sure about the rest.
     
    No, they're not related...that's odd, sounds like your Spiritomb fell into the abyss...as in, your game is glitched/hacked.

    Maybe, but to disappear like that, it could mean that your GAME is glitched/hacked.

    It might help if you could remember what you did between those two events. Even generics might help.

    I uh... Put my Prinplup in the daycare with my Ditto... Then I cycled around near Solaceon.

    That's about all I remember. I don't hack, so something must have glitched. What are the odds that it will keep happening?
     
    Silly question: Are you sure it's gone and not just misplaced? I've skipped over Pokes in my Boxes when looking for them before.

    Hundred percent certain.

    Oh, one more thing. Since that happened, I shut off the game and loaded it prior to the Spiritomb disappearing. Everything seems to be where it should be. I put my Spiritomb in the PC to see if it would happen again, and it was there when I came back.

    Yeah, I should have mentioned that sooner, sorry. ^_^;;

    To be honest, my main concern is that little face next to the portrait.

    Oh...nah, that face just means that your Spiritomb can no longer spread its Pokerus...but it'll still get the bonuses.

    This might be a long shot but check this out if you were riding around in Solaceon town this "hole punching" might be the case.

    Anyway, um, no clue what happened there. It probably wasn't "hole-punching" like zach805 suggested (unless you ran into an invisible wall or something). But, if you were more worried about the face than your Pokemon disappearing,...yeah.
     
    Wait, the smiley means Pokerus still gives bonuses, but can not spread?
     
    but dont you obtain the hole punching glitch, if you used a cheat of some kind
