Ooh don't worry, it's quite simple. (: Not sure if it's the same on Platinum, but on diamond and pearl you simply add the person you want to trade with on your pal pad, and then go downstairs in the pokemon center to the wifi center where you can connect to wifi. ^^ You should see my name wanting to trade and just select me. =D Don't forget to bring a filler pokemon like bidoof to trade!
