Vista Microsoft has fixed almost all the bugs and it's got more game compatibilities.

No, you don't. If you're not really an intensive PC-app user, or a gamer, then I would recommend Vista. Even if you're a gamer actually, since they released a new patch...I'm getting off-topic here.

Just get Vista, and as long as your wireless is set up to use an unencrypted WLAN connection or WEP WLAN connection, you'll be fine. WPA will NOT work with the NDS; fortunately, you can always turn off encryption totally, and usually WEP is included in routers as well.

this is really up to you dude.just look info about both of them and chose the one to your liking

well with the wirlss interent stuff we're getting a wireless network thoughout the house.

So get Vista. I pretty much explained it thoroughly, if you need help with anything, including setting up your router, just PM me.

Also keep in mind that Windows XP has already been around for 5 years and its online support (updates and fixes etc) will stop being provided by 2009.

Vista on the other hand has a lot longer. There will be lots more downloads and updates to be released. Also future programmes are unlikely to be compatible with XP.

EDIT: Oh and another obvious thing, Vista looks so much better than xp..

Or wait til Vista SP2 comes out, I dont trust the current Vista

Doesn't really matter, they already released a hotfix that fixed a TON of memory usage issues.

I like XP better, it's just easier to use and doesn't have half the problems Vista has with games, programs, etc.
Although, when it is updated, I plan on getting it.

Does anyone have any idea when Vista SP2 with be released?

Although, I think I'll be getting Vista weather it super good or whatnot xD

If it's going to be the same price either way and you don't have any apps or hardware that isn't supported you may as well go with Vista.

I still don't trust Vista. When it first came out, it was really screwed up.

I'd say XP, I know that it's online support ends in 2 years time, but honestly, who accually CARES about online support?(and it's cheaper too)

But if Vista has truly received a fix, then I suppose it wouldn't be too bad either.

I believe that also means updates, which would mean it's less secure than it already is.
