Tomorrow marks the day where Joko Widodo (well known as Jokowi in my country) will be inaugurated as the new President, as today is the last day for the current president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (also well known as SBY) to govern Indonesia, and I'd like to talk about SBY as he started to passing the torch to Jokowi.

I think I need to share the fact that before SBY even ruled for a decade, he was even requested as the vice-president candidate when Megawati Soekarnoputri replaced late Abdurahman Wahid (known as Gus Dur) as president, even though he lost against Hamzah Haz.

And several years later, he shortly become one of the most popular candidate for a new President, and with Jusuf Kalla, his first vice-president that time, they have a campaign with the tagline: "Bersama Kita Bisa" (Together We Can). His first 5 years are considered quite good, as Indonesia solved its conflicts in 2 certain provinces on its run. Also, during that, Indonesia started to form an organization which is known to hunt for corruption schemes, and the organization is doing a pretty good job at it.

Even though his second 5 years was quite rough, I still consider him successful, even with his second vice-president, Boediono with his side. Also, during that, SBY also created a Twitter account too, which was unexpected for me at first. I also want to take a note that SBY has a peaceful vibe with him, which is one of the reason why I supported him when he governs my country. In fact, a certain TV news also highlights that he is calm even though he was protested by some of the masses around.

So, as SBY will step down from presidential position, I just hope that he will have a good life, and that he'll keep his charisma even though he's no longer the president. And as for Jokowi, I hope he will take on SBY's mantle and make Indonesia much better than ever before.

Thank you, SBY, and best wishes, Jokowi!
