Johto is a land steeped in mythology and legends. From the burning of the Two Towers in Ecruteak to the deification of Slowpoke in Azalea Town, the people of Johto have long participated in using tales of the supernatural to explain the world around them.

But as is the norm in the Pokémon world, there is always some semblance of truth behind these tales. When dealing with such powerful creatures, sometimes the strange and magnificent is indeed very possible when they are involved. And that's where our story begins: what happens when a small group of children get caught up in a story full of mystique, magic, evil and redemption.

In this RP, you will be playing one of these children. Something magical will happen to you and you'll be stuck in an adventure (I don't want to reveal too much - I'd rather that stuff come about as the story progresses.) I will say that this story involves transformations, time travel, magic and an exploration of Pokémon history. This isn't a normal "EVIL TEAM TAKING OVER THE WORLD PLOT" or "GROUP OF TRAINERS DOING BORING THINGS TOGETHER" plot.

Now onto other matters. The characters are going to be 11-12 years old. They've all grown up together for the most part. None of them are accomplished trainers. In fact, they still attend a normal school in Johto. All of them have a Pokémon but they have yet to really journey out into the world. So with that, here's the sign up.

Name: Karin Stratos
Age: 10
Physical Description: Standing at only 45 inches, she's short. Incredibly short. Her hair, a natural whispy blonde that during the summer almost turns white, is wavy with a slight curl. Her bangs reach down to her eyes but not over. The cut is simple but elegant and the length itself reaches to her mid back. At times she will wear a medium sized blue ribbon on the back of her head. Her somewhat abnormally large eyes are a deep but light blue color, almost an icy blue in some light situations. Her skin itself is rather pale due to being kept inside a good amount of her childhood thus far. Her hands and feet are small and delicate. However, on the rare occasions when she is allowed to go outside, she prefers to go shoe-less and thus she does have callouses on the bottoms of her feet from doing such activities outside without shoes.

As far as clothing goes, she dresses in quality fabrics but tends to dress more simplistically than her mother would like. Her preferred outfit is a simple shirt and jumper combo with a pair of matching black patent mary jane shoes. Depending on the season, the white collared button up shirt is either short or long sleeved and is accompanied by a dark blue tie [that matches the plaid of her jumper]. It fits for ease of movement, not too tight, not too loose. The skirt part of the jumper itself is not A-line but is a simple flowing gathered single tier skirt gathered at the natural waist. Because the skirt is princess-like and full in its fabric volume, it spins outward with her when she spins, the skirt rippling delicately in the winds. The sleeve straps are around two inches in width. The length of the dark blue plaid jumper reaches to just above her knees and has both a white petticoat underlay and a white eyelet lace hem. She will wear white tights with the black shoes if the weather requires it.

Personality Description: She's a bit of a spazz. One moment she's staring out the window, the next moment she's running into something and crying because of it and the next minute after that she's spinning around in laughter. She's easily excited, no matter what way you put it and she's as blonde as blonde can be. Things take awhile for her to understand and to some extent she's happier that way. She blushes easily though and doesn't understand certain social quirks like some of her peers. She's cute through it though and the headpet she normally gets from one of her friends when she struggles to understand something either makes her flail in frustration or blush in amazement at getting such a wonderful display of affection.

Easily distracted, she'll go off on mental tangents or physical tangents and often forgets what she should be doing. When nervous, she tends to add a 'chuuu' or a 'nyaao' onto the end or beginning of her sentences. They also show up when she's pretending to be fine but isn't and are a good give away of what she's really feeling [not that she can really hide her emotions]. As was mentioned earlier, she's clueless and often asks random questions about sublties that aren't lost on her friends. When she's given a blank stare as to why she doesn't know a particular thing, she simply responds with a '...what?' or an 'eh?' and a blank stare. Sometimes including a blush.

She enjoys shiny things and collects shiny string. She's fiercely loyal to her friends [even though she tends to hide behind them instead of sticking up for them] and has a tendancy to make them feel better when they're sad with simple words and phrases that are lost to those without her sense of innocence. She's very snuggly and enjoys hugs, nuzzles, kisses and headpets and receiving any of the following makes her spazz out.

A note. Karin believes everything her friends tell her and alot of what people outside her group of friends tell her. Even if it's absolutely ridiculous. She's just that blonde.

History: Karin's Daddy was born and raised in the financially elite section of Ecruteak and Karin was born there to his second wife. After a bitter divorce three wives later, they moved to this new village to hopefully live a quieter life in a smaller town. Karin's perception of a 'mama' is very different from most children's in this village because of this. However, the community she came from had a quick turn-around-rate for marriages so she doesn't really understand why other Papas stay with just Mama #1 all the time. She has grown up with now 6 Mamas and only one [Mama 3] was ever really physically affectionate with her [which explains why affection from friends sets off her spazz attacks] and she's just learned to sorta do without. She's a good mannered child, plays the piano well and enjoys the bits of time Papa, who works for the Devon Corporation, is home from leave.

Her favorite subject is music, her least favorite subject is math. It tends to make her cry. She's not athletic by any means and can hardly run faster than a snail but she tries hard. She's a decent swimmer and likes spending time at the pool in the good weather on her Papa's property.

Pokemon: Len the Meowth

Pokémon's Personality: Lazy kitty who for the most part enjoys flopping on books and people playing them unless sunlight is present. It was because of his adorable mewls as a newly hatched kit that Karin slips a nyao onto a good portion of her sentences especially when she's upset. He follows her like a hawk and is highly protective of her as well as he tends to act like a surrogate mother to her, taking care of her when she falls and the friends aren't around. He also gets jealous incredibly easy and dislikes a good majority of her class at school because they take too much of Karin's attention. His weaknesses include head pets, ear scritches and sweet berries.

Pokémon's History with Character: Len was given to Karin by Mama 3 as a introductory present as an egg. Karin, only 8 at the time, believed that she had to sit on this egg to hatch it and refused to move off said egg for four days. On day five, in the early morning hours, it hatched and imprinted on Karin as a mother figure. The two have been inseparable ever since and Len does not get along with the rest of Karin's household or most of her friends.

Name: Kale Arnenos


Age: 12

Physical Description: Kale is a Caucasian male; he has long messy sandy brown hair and teal eyes. He is short for his age, and while somewhat skinny, he does have a lot of energy. Thus he is at least built for running, especially if this means avoiding his sisters. Having just started to go through puberty though, his voice cracks every once and a while. He also wears contacts, that make his eyes appear a kind of ocean blue. He'll usually wear them when playing sports, otherwise he will wear his glasses, which he dislikes, and wears his contacts as often as possible

In the summer, he'll usually wear a pair of long shorts, and a matching t-shirt, though he enjoys the black matching colours with the blue stripes. He will also be seen usually wearing blue running shoes. He recently found out about the marvels and use of gel and puts generous amounts of it in his hair, sticking it in a bunch of directions. He wears a necklace that has a talon attached to it, which is said to be that of an Aerodactyl (his mom got it for him during a business trip).

Personality Description: Because he lives with 3 older sisters, Kale tends to strive for attention, which is converted into having too much energy. Also with having 3 older sisters, he tends to trust people a little less, so he'll analyze the situation first, and then come to a conclusion – more subconscious than anything, this allows him to strategize.

With his friends however, he knows them well enough and gets along with them no problem, even if there is a small conflict. Sometimes he acts as the mediator so that they can go about doing their usual things. He is also willing to go on any adventure considering he can't stay in one spot. His fiery personality has lent to some good adventures... whatever that may be, though of course the adventures didn't always go as planned, being a naive child and all...

Now that the majority of his friends have started puberty, and thus goggle at the opposite gender, he feels disconcerted that he doesn't have any feelings (however small) towards any girls he knows, but instead to the guys. He hasn't told his closest friends yet however, but it doesn't concern him much, because he is usually busy with his Pokémon training.

History: Kale lives in a family with 3 older sisters. His sisters are 18, 16, and 14 (Kale suspects that his parent wanted a kid every two years, but doesn't understand why, especially because having three sisters suck). They would often make him play games when he was younger, which though he was quickly able to dispel by destroying their games or toys or worst of all, the costumes (thus the onset of the sports). While this might serve as an annoyance, he manages to get by with his other friends, whom got to school with him. Because of being the youngest however, he tends to be quite rambunctious, so his parents tried to channel that into sports. He didn't excel in the hockey, football, and soccer, that he was put in, but he did display an amount of cunning that would occasionally allow for a team win.

His parents both work at Silph Co., and know of families with children similar to Kale's age that also work there. His mom is usually away on business trips for Silph Co.. To keep them all entertained (for his lack of cooking skills), his father takes the family out to supper and finishes with a movie, which somehow always ends up being a romance, to which Kale is always out-voted 3 to 1 to his annoyance.

When each of their kids came to the age 8, they would get a Pokemon. Seeing as they felt school more important though, they had the kids complete until they were at least 12 years old, instead of the usual 10 year old adventurer. Needless to say, when Kale turned 8 he got his first Pokemon: a Vulpix, he named Deuereo.

At school, he enjoyed gym class most of all, but still did fairly well in his regular classes, as there is a benefit to having sisters as tutors sometimes... Otherwise, he enjoys spending as much time with his friends, and makes sure that everyone is happy.


Pokémon: Deureo (pronounced like Deh - you - ree-oh) (Vulpix – Male)


Pokémon's Personality: Deureo, like its type has a fiery personality, and is otherwise proud of itself. It will not hesitate to defend Kale if need be, and takes pride in it. It is very intelligent and seems to easily interpret how Kale is feeling. Deureo is glad to have Kale as a friend, and trusts him. Deureo anticipates training with him, to show off his prowess. It enjoys playing with Kale and his friends (after gaining their and their pokemon's trust of course). Because it is Kale's only Pokémon, it is more or less used to the spoiled attention, and couldn't imagine Kale with another Pokémon.


Pokémon's History with Character: Coming back from a business trip, his mother gave him an egg for his birthday, as it was family tradition for their kid to get a Pokémon at the age of 8. His mother was no Pokémon expert (per se), so she did not know what Pokémon laid in that egg. Regardless, Kale knew he was going to take care of it, and happy, did so until it hatched into a healthy male Vulpix. For the next 4 years, they played with each other and his friends as well. It wasn't until the last year that he started to train his Vulpix into being a better fighter – a lot more work was needed, but they did get a handle on things.

Name: Heidi McManus
Age: 10
Physical Description: Heidi is one of the tallest children in her class. Her dark brown, naturally straight hair is usually braided or in a ponytail. Her unusual, wide blue eyes are framed by her mocha-colored skin, a result of her mixed race. The bridge of her nose is narrow and her lips are full and pink. She is usually wearing a pair of jean overalls over a dark blue t-shirt. Her white sneakers are covered in dirt and usually untied. And as a sign of her blossoming femininity, her nails are painted her favorite color: yellow. She also wears a necklace that holds her PokéBall her Ekans lives in.
Personality Description: Heidi has always been a bit of a tomboy. She loves to climb trees, explore caves and get in all sorts of trouble with the adults around her. She has never paid much attention to her appearance. She only washed and combed her hair because her mother made her. But recently, she has started the early stages of puberty and has been taking more time getting ready for school in the morning. Heidi even asked for her first dress from her mother.

She still loves to best the boys in her class at sports and will readily have battles with anyone in the school with Marta. She doesn't lack in confidence but she's rather hotheaded. You can count on Heidi to say the wrong thing at the worst time. She rarely apologizes but will usually attempt to right her wrongs through her actions. Heidi is very loyal to her family and friends. But she's not afraid to tell them they're wrong or throw a punch when needed. She definitely has issues being the only interracial child in town but she's grown to be proud of it rather than embarrassed.
History: Her mother, Carmen, was a brilliant pharmacist formerly employed by Silph Co. to develop new formulas for their medicinal apartment. Her father, Aaron, was a modest Breeder hired by Silph Co. to consult on the effects of their medicines on baby Pokémon. Through working with each other, they fell in love and soon married. She retired early from the company and moved with husband to a town near Ecruteak City. Eventually, she learned she was pregnant with her first child Isis, Heidi's older sister. Four years later, she became pregnant with Heidi's older brother Thomas. And then only a year later Heidi was conceived. The family bought a larger house on the outskirt of town. There, Heidi's father continued his breeding practice while her mother raised the children and experimented with herbal medicines.

Several years later a Rhydon that Aaron had bred helped the newly crowned Champion of Johto win his title. As thanks, he donated half of his winnings to the McManus family. Using this money, they intended to send the children to a top trainers school in Goldenrod City. Heidi was too young however so she stayed home with her parents while Isis and Thomas went away to become trainers. Heidi was rather bummed out but took the time to bond with her parents and friends at school. She eventually befriended a female Ekans that lived under her porch. They would play together all day. Eventually, she asked to borrow one of her father's PokéBalls and captured the Ekans.

At school she was the "leader" of her group of friends. Since they were too young to be official trainers, she would lead them into the nearby forest to explore the land and practice battle with one another. They eventually formed a group called the "Terrace Town Explorers." Unfortunately, one of her friends got hurt on one of these treks and the parents agreed to having a babysitter accompany them on their journeys just in case. Heidi didn't appreciate this intrusion but eventually "inducted" the boy into the group as well.

Heidi will usually lead the pranks on their mean teacher Miss Ovelby. Thus, Heidi is usually the one that gets in the most trouble with the Headmaster. Heidi doesn't care though because as long as she's having fun the consequences don't matter.

Pokémon: Ekans
Pokémon's Personality: Ekans is less aggressive than the rest of her species. Like her trainer, she's very inquisitive and loves to explore the world around her. When happy, she'll wrap herself tightly around Heidi's leg. She rarely gets upset and only loses a smile on her face when in battle. But due to Heidi's lack of battle experience, this doesn't happen too often. She gets along well with other Pokémon but most are afraid of her due to Ekans's reputation.
Pokémon's History: Heidi met this female Ekans two years ago while exploring under her house's porch. Unlike most humans that met her Heidi didn't flinch at the sight of her. Happy, she began to follow Heidi around as she explored near her house. The two formed a fast friendship due to similar personalities and interests. Heidi's father was worried Ekans would prey on his valuable eggs but Ekans was more interested in the Poffins he baked in his free time. Ekans is quite the glutton and will gladly down any spicy Poffin in the house if not hidden. She really bonded with Heidi's Mother's Muk and Kadabra. They both have taught the Snake Pokémon a few battling tricks, including Sludge Bomb and Iron Tail respectively.

Name: Alyse Walker
Age: 10

Physical Description:
The physical make-up of the members of Alyse's direct family is anything but normal, and the appearance of the small girl is anything but different. Being only ten years old, the girl is rather small in stature, both height wise and weight wise. Her wide and expressive eyes have a pinkish-red hue, one of the unusual traits passed on through her bloodline, while the other is her pale green hair, which falls all the way down her back and is tied into two pigtails on the side of her head with black bows. Almost all of the time, the girl's soft face is lined with a wide smile, her cheeks providing the appearance that she is almost always blushing. Her daily attire, aka her school attire, consists of a simple black dress that's hemmed with light green string near the bottom, around her thighs, so that the dress takes on a puffy appearance. While the sleeves are attached to the dress, they actually don't cover her shoulders, leaving the youthful skin exposed, as well as most of the rest of her arm. Around her wrists, though, she has white cuff-links, and around the neck of the dress is a white, lacey portion with a black bow on it, a lacey black choker around her neck, slightly higher. Around Alyse's feet, she wears a simple pair of black ballet flats, meeting with a pair of black thigh highs that almost meet her dress, leaving a little but of skin exposed between the two. The thigh highs are hemmed at the top with green string, like the bottom of the dress, and on the right leg there is a black bow.

Personality Description:
Out of all of the girls in her group of friends, Alyse is by far the most energetic, but also the most cautious. When not in a restricted atmosphere such as her house or classroom, the girl is loud and curious, often running from point to point to explore and learn all she can - a trait she most likely received from her parents. She's the kind of kid that you could probably never make sit completely still, as even when at a desk she feels the need to fidget with something or shake her leg. Despite this, she does have limits. If she feels something is too dangerous, or something will get them in too much trouble, Alyse has no hesitation in bringing up her concerns to Heidi to try and get her to stop. Of course, that rarely works, and she's usually dragged along anyways. She's also quite the crybaby, often getting worked up be the slightest of injury, or even after hearing something only relatively sad. She's very sensitive to the feelings of her friends and of her Pokemon, and just as long as she isn't in an emotional rut herself, she makes a point to do her best to try and cheer them up. She does have a bit of a lying habit, particularly to who friends, whom she likes to make herself sound cooler to by telling stories about her that never actually happened, like that one time where she was attacked by an angry Spearow and scared it off by hiding behind a Tyranitar. She's nowhere near as brave as she makes herself sound, which may lead to problems in the future.

History:
Having lived near Ecruteak almost her entire life, Alyse has grown up with the local kids and have developed strong bonds with the group of them. Born to a pair of researchers, her parents are often in Ecruteak doing studies, particularly around the Tin Tower since their focus is Pokemon mythology. Curiosity towards this subject leaked down to their daughter, who too is fascinated by these myths surrounding these great Pokemon, and when she got older they eventually began taking her out of school for weeks at a time so that she could travel with them when they got called out to foreign areas. On her tenth birthday, her parents took her to Newbark Town so that she could obtain a starter Pokemon. In the end, she obtained a Chikorita since their personalities seemed to mirror each other almost perfectly. Overall, though, Alyse seems to enjoy a rather normal life, aside from those adventures she unwillingly experiences with her friends.

Pokémon: Chikorita

Pokémon's Personality:
Chikorita, like her trainer, is a very energetic and curious Pokemon. However, unlike her trainer, she isn't exactly very cautious or subtle about what she does, so she has a bad habit of getting into trouble. Not particularly aggressive in regards to battles, Chikorita would much rather flee than fight. However, if her trainer is in immediate danger, she will step up to the task, and is a very good companion when exploring, especially in forests considering her element. She gets along fine with the other Pokemon, though possesses some fears in regards to the Ekans and Vulpix of the group, considering her type.
Pokémon's History with Character:
Having only been obtained by Alyse recently, seeing as she got her Pokemon from Professor Elm on her tenth birthday, the two don't have very much history together. They do, however, have a strong, almost sisterly bond considering their similar personalities.

Pokémon found at beginning of story: Azurill

Name: Kenton Sihms
Age: 17

Physical Description:
Standing at around five foot ten inches, Kenton is anything but overweight. A mop of messy brown hair sits atop his head, which doesn't particularly compliment his dark grey eyes. He has no particularly unique features overall, in fact he looks more or less like your average joe, not standing out at all. His attire is simple, and consists more or less of a white tee with a blue neck underneath a white dress shirt, a pair of grey-black pants covering his lower body. Almost always at his side, he carries a beige messenger bag that he throws over his shoulder. This is how he transports all of his Pokemon supplies, such as Pokeballs, food, medicines, and his PokeGear.

Personality Description:
While Kenton looks weak and pathetic based on his extremely average appearance, it's noteworthy to mention that he's actually a very assertive person. Having done a lot of traveling over the past few years with his Kirlia, he's come to learn the importance of responsibility and independence. Though, he's definitely not a super responsible person. He's a little scatterbrained, and tends to forget what he's currently doing if he's distracted even for a little bit. He's also kind, a little too kind, which leads to him getting pushed around a lot - especially by a particular group of kids he decided to keep an eye on as a favor. When it comes to Pokemon, he's especially passionate, and he takes very good care of his Kirlia. However, when it comes to battles, it's like he becomes a completely different person. Serious, strategic, he's anything but a lackluster trainer, and this comes from the years of experience he's had. One of his biggest faults, however, is that he very naive and easily influenced. He also doesn't perform well under pressure that isn't the pressure of a battle. Overall though, he's a good person, and he has a special place in his heart for family.

History:
Kenton was actually born and raised in Sinnoh, as his direct family had moved there from Johto several years before he was born. There, he lived an average childhood with an average schooling scenario and average occurrences. When he was ten, he was given a Ralts by his parents, and the two quickly became friends. When he turned eleven, after a year of training with his Pokemon at home, he finally set out on a journey of his own into the dangerous world of Pokemon. He saw many things in Sinnoh, but he didn't take any Gym challenges. Maybe someday, he had decided, but for now all he wanted to do was explore. He did Kanto next, and eventually came to Johto, where he knew he had relatives. He met up with his aunt and uncle just outside of Ecruteak, and in exchange for watching their daughter, Alyse, he was permitted to stay at their place as long as he wanted. After meeting his cousin and taking a liking to her, he eventually agreed, but the job ended up being tougher than he thought it would be. The girl had a group of friends that always seemed to be off getting into trouble, and it didn't help that he was such a pushover.

Pokémon: Kirlia

Pokémon's Personality:
Kirlia is Kenton's oldest companion, and she acts in such a manner. When she's out of her Pokeball and not engaged in battle, she's almost always near her trainer's side. She's well behaved, always doing what she's told, and abiding to her trainer's wishes. She has a bit of a jealousy problem, not fond of other people getting too close to Kenton. This is especially true for Alyse, whom he seemed to be hanging out a lot with lately since they came to Johto.
Pokémon's History with Character:
Kirlia was originally given to Kenton on his tenth birthday in the form of a Ralts. The two didn't connect right away, since she was a bit of a wuss when she was a Ralts, but eventually they formed the ideal trainer - Pokemon bond. While the duo haven't done many notable things over their travels, they did take on many battles together, and accumulated many wins and losses. They grew stronger as a team, to the point where they became almost inseparable.

Character Name: Kyle Doream ( Dough-Reem )

Gender: Male

Age: 12

Appearance:

Kyle's unruly appearance is made up of nothing more than a normal teenage outfit. He is rarely seen without baggy jeans, usually a dark navy that reflects his common mood. A hooded top is worn on his torso, with an outrageous design that almost looks like paint was spilled across it, its zipper usually only half-drawn to reveal a t-shirt that would blend with what was over it. His shoes would be jet black, but are a worn grey, due to his constant travels. His outfit is usually proof of his lack of money, as it is often either similar or reused constantly throughout the month.

His hair was also black, and was a decent length for a guy. It was the only thing he would be able to keep modern and new, as he would change the style with the times, although, as he grew into his travels, he would settle on one style. It was flat on his head, but the hood of his clothing would usually cover the top of his head. His hair stayed a medium length, about three inches long. A cowlick would occur at the front of his hair, but would only push it up so much before it drooped to lie across his forehead. His eyes are as crystal clear as water, the only color splashed in his otherwise dreary appearance are the blue of them.

Human Personality:

One word may be used to describe the one emotion he shows: Reserved. Kyle is extremely quiet and usually keeps his array of emotions to himself. He never shows his anger or happiness; however, he will reward his pokémon to what they deserve. He is unlike any other trainer; he strives for power, to prove to himself that he is not weak. However, he is not corrupted by power, nor blinded by it, he feels as though each win is a step closer to proving his father wrong.

He doesn't care for other's thoughts, usually, and will be as frank as he needs to be. His fighting style is the only area he will show any satisfaction in, whether he wins or not, Kyle's adrenaline will quick in. A loss results in a series of intensive training, not only his pokémon, but also his own body. He acts much older than he actually is, and acts more like a high schooler than a lower junior high kid. He usually will sit alone in the back of the class, alone as an extrovert, only speaking when spoken to.

History:

Kyle, as a little child, was always the end of the joke, and as hard as he tried, he would never be able to fit in with the others. Kyle started off being himself, trying to make others laugh, which the cool kid would always come back and Kyle's attempts would then backfire. He then tried just hanging out, and in as big of a city as Goldenrod, it would never work. That is when he simply gave up, trying to make friends, everything social, he just quit. Kyle's parents hated seeing him this way, so in the fourth grade, they moved to Azalea Town, a smaller town they'd hope he would have better luck in. However, his personality remained, but the move only did what Kyle's parents feared most, and that was push them away further from them.

In Azalea Town, Kyle met his first pokémon, a Heracross. He saw it sleeping in a tree one day, when he decided to catch it. His father let Kyle borrow his pokémon and a pokéball, and defeated it in battle. He eventually learned to be friends with the Heracross, something Kyle had not been able to do with humans, which gave him some confidence.

In fourth grade, he was held back from his procrastination. He didn't do his homework, and Kyle had failed out due to it. He was placed in Kindergarten a year later than normal, making him two years older than his other classmates. This only separated him more, which he couldn't stand.

Pokémon: Heracross

Pokémon's Personality:

Heracross is a lazy, disrespectful pokémon. The only master it will listen and act to is Kyle, himself. Heracross also only has one friend, with Kyle. Their bond has been strengthened, even become impenetrable, through their focusing on the other. Heracross usually spends its time in the tree in Kyle's backyard until he returns, where the two will play harsh pranks on the little kids of town who are mean.

Searn slowly opened his eyes to the everlasting rain. He looked into it for a little while, wondering what had happened to him. A rain fell in his eye and he shot up, rubbing the saltiness of it from his eye. He looked around him for any clues of what had happened, and then saw it, a wild Gible, which had severe cuts, bleeding and breathing heavily. One look at it could tell that the Dragon had fought to protect the innocent human who was alone, with no pokémon. Searn quirked a saddened smile toward the end both of his lips.

"Well… surprised such a proud pokémon did this for me…" then Searn noticed something on his own battered and scarred body, an emblem with the initials of "TO" on it. Searn then suddenly realized he and this pokémon should not be left out in the rain for too long, so he ran to the pokémon's side and reached down to scoop the torn Gible up. A slight humming came from the depths of its throat at Searn's touch, but Searn continued to pick it up. As he brought the forty-five pound dragon up, Searn realized he would not be able to make it all the way to a city the way he was carrying it, so he slung it over his back and got on the muddy bike Searn had been attacked and thrown off of. He rode until he reached a sign that pointed him to a city, the Gible's breathing intensifying and Searn tried to hurry.

In the pokémon center, Searn and his ally had been bandaged together, but Gible was asleep in the Intensive Care unit. Searn slowly rose and walked to the door, clutching the badge that he had found.

A high-pitched voice came from the desk "Where are you going? Don't you want to wait for your pokémon to be well so you can take him with you?"

Searn's dark voice replied, "I'm a new trainer, not qualified for such a powerful pokémon, he most likely would not listen to me anyway…" and with that Searn advanced to the door which automatically opened. As the door opened, Gible thrashed in its bed violently, almost sensing that the man who saved it was leaving. Searn and some doctors ran to the wild pokémon that was threatening to kill itself. Gible settled down at Searn's touch, and at that moment, Searn realized they would be bonded for life, about to embark on the adventure that would inevitably be his life.

Searn looked to his new partner and sighed, "So, I guess we'll need to go everywhere together, huh?" His Gible hummed in approval and nodded. Searn looked around Gralf Village, where he had ridden his bike, where his eyes rolled over a Pokémart. "We should probably get you a pokéball, I hear people aren't too fond of loose Gibles…" Gible crossed his arms and looked to his side, jokingly offended. "I need to pick you up in the mart, all pokémon must be contained in public buildings… besides the Pokécenter, of course…" Searn reached down to pick Gible up, and picked the dragon up. He walked towards the mart.

"Is that all for you, sir?" the Mart clerk asked, as soon as Searn placed the pokéball he was to buy on the counter. Searn continued to hold the not fully healed Gible near his chest, and nodded toward the clerk. "That will be 200, sir." Searn reached into his back right pocket to where his wallet would be. His hand found nothing, then he shifted hands holding Gible and reached in his back left pocket. He chuckled "Heh… seems I misplaced it, hold on." and he checked each and every pocket. At the last pocket all he pulled out was the "TO" badge, which he found when he woke up. His eyes suddenly widened. "Team Ozone…"

"What was that, sir?" the clerk tapped his foot impatiently. "I was mugged, I don't have any more money." Searn replied, now knowing what it feels like to be on the other side of his old work. The clerk picked up the ball off the counter "Sorry, I can't give away any free pokéballs." Searn looked at him and nodded, "I understand, thanks anyway." Searn exited the mart, his venture unsuccessful.

As he exited the Pokécenter, he looked at his Gible, and let out a long, drawn-out sigh. "Don't worry," he said, "I happen to have been in a position like this for my entire life…

I should have clarified that, and I'm sorry, but his procrastination did bring him down a grade, and he is old for his class. His parents put him in Kindergarten when he was 6 (as opposed to 5) and that's why he's a year older than what grade he'd normally be in...

1) You don't need to use your character's name so much. You referred to his name at least 20 times.

2) Your character is bordering on Emo!Gary Stu right now. He puts himself down way too much and isn't very pleasant. So shape up please.
