The clock seemed to be moving slower today. Miss Ovelby was ranting about the history of Olivine City but Heidi was paying little attention. The last hour of the school day was always the slowest. Heidi swore Ovelby had some form of magic powers that slowed down time to just torture her students.

Heidi looked around the classroom. Several of her fellow classmates had turned ten and left town to start their journeys so the class size had gotten smaller. Seats remained empty. This of course gave Ovelby more of a chance to focus on particular students to torture. In particular, she liked to pick on Heidi and her closest group of friends. Since the first day of class back in the fall, she had harped on them constantly for no reason. Unfortunately for Ovelby, she was messing with the wrong ten year old girl.

Ovelby was scribbling on the board a really terrible map of Johto, highlighting areas where the war destroyed the most back in the day. Heidi opened her desk quietly and pulled a red balloon filled with a mysterious liquid. Quietly, she grabbed the PokeBall around her neck and released Ekans from it. She held the balloon out towards the Ekans who gently grasped it in its mouth. Slithering silently towards the front of the room, the Ekans placed the balloon near Ovelby's foot. It quickly darted back to Heidi who returned it to its ball.

"And here the Western forces burned down the original Violet City in retaliation for the Sacking of Olivine Har-- GAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" A miniature explosion interrupted her speech as pink paint flew everywhere, dousing Ovelby's shoes and skirt in the process. Angrily she crushed the chalk in her hand and glared directly at Heidi. "YOU--YOU--YOUUUUUUUUUUU GET TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE RIGHT NOW YOUNG LADY! I KNOW THIS WAS YOUR DOING YOU INSOLENT LITTLE-- GAH GET OUT OF MY SIGHT RIGHT NOW!"

Heidi stood up which caused the rest of her classmates to erupt in applause.

"ALL OF YOU SHUT UP! WE HAVE 20 MINUTES UNTIL YOU'RE OUT OF HERE. BE QUIET AND LISTEN!" Ovelby screamed, quickly silencing the room.

"Hey you guys. I'll see you at Alyse's house after school. Bye!" Heidi yelled as she left the room and Ovelby slammed the door behind her. She ducked around the corner to see if the hall monitor was nearby. Not seeing anyone she sprinted towards the opened front doors and left. The sun outside was shining and a quaint spring breeze was blowing. In the distance Heidi could see the top of the Tin Tower. Once again she released Ekans from her ball. She was still laughing hysterically from the prank they pulled.

"You did awesome Ekans... She didn't even see you. We'll have to top ourselves now though. We'll brainstorm with the guys when they get out," Heidi said to her reptilian friend. Ekans nodded as it slithered next to its Trainer. "I wonder if Kenton is home yet? I want to run home and grab this book I've been reading to show everyone. Do you think we have time?"

Ekans nodded in agreement. "Yeah, he usually doesn't get home until 3:15 anyway and since I got out early, I've definitely got time. Let's take the shortcut!" Heidi jumped over the railing on the side of the road and slid down the hill.

"Here, jump on my arm. I'm running there!" Ekans slid up her legs and wrapped itself tightly. Once she was secure, Heidi began sprinting at full speed, dodging around trees and prickly bushes. Her house was just through this small pockets of woods. Heidi then leaped over the small crick on the other side, landing in her yard. Her mother was outside gardening with her Kadabra, who turned and smiled when Heidi appeared. Her mother however wasn't smiling.

"Young lady, I just got a call from school. Not only did you torture that poor old teacher of yours but your hall monitor saw you leaving early. What have I told you about misbehaving Heidi Padma McManus!"

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... no comment. Got to hurry though. The guys will beat me to Alyse's house if I don't hurry!" Heidi said, dodging her mother's anger. She bolted by her mother and ran inside. Skipping every other stair, she ran upstairs and burst into her room. It was full of Pokémon paraphenelia from a Sudowoodo coat rack to a chair shaped like an Ursaring. She ran to her desk and began sorting through the numerous drawings and books on it. Heidi let out a slight 'AHA!' when she found the book she wanted and bolted out of her room and down the stairs. She leaped out her door and began down to the road towards Alyse's house. "LOVE YOU MOM SORRY BYE!"

Heidi was beginning to get tired of all the running but she hated not being the first in anything. Finally she reached Alyse's house nearby and hunched over out of breath. No one was here still so that means Heidi had won the race. She sat on the porch, waiting for everyone else.

I'm pretty sure it's okay to respond now so I'll go ahead :)
    ----

Kale looked at the clock for the millionth time now; barely a minute seemed to go by. His small class had just come back from gym class, and there was now 20 minutes left of class, to which his teacher, Mrs. Frabletop told them to quietly read for the remaining time. His teacher was usually pretty lenient except she it seemed like she really wanted her class to excel in reading.

He had his book pulled out, though he feigned his reading of it. The fictional story didn't hold his interest, he liked his own adventures. Plus he felt that he hadn't burnt enough energy in gym class. To his neighbour's annoyance he was fidgeting with his pen, clicking it repeatedly.

However, there were only six students in his class. By now, most of the kids his age, had already started his adventure. Kale thought it out logically, and surmised that going a bit later would be okay, as he would be more mature to handle the Pokémon journey.

Suddenly he could hear screaming and a slamming of a door, from another classroom. All the students looked up from their books at the sound of the noise.

I hope it isn't Heidi again, she always gets in trouble. He thought.

His teacher scoffed at the noise, and gave her students stern looks for getting distracted. They regretfully returned to their books, and waited for the time to go by. Pretending to read the book again, he began day dreaming about practicing his Pokémon battle skills with Deureo, his Vulpix. At the moment Deureo was in its pokeball, in his pocket.

He was anticipating the end of the day, because he had received a note in the hallway, from his friend, Alyse. In it, she mentioned to meet at her house, along with the others.

After what seemed to be hours, he heard the bell ring.

"And don't forget to finish that math homework I assigned this morning." Mrs. Frabletop croaked.

Filing out of the class, Kale reached his locker, he saw some girls eyeing him, smiling and giggling, but he ignored it. Done, he headed out, and as soon as he reached the exit, he took out his Pokeball and let out Deureo.

"Vulpix!" It cried, happy to be free once again.

    "Wanna race home Dee-you?" [*nickname]

"Pix!" It cried, running off at a head start.

Kale might have been short, but the energy he still had, enabled him to eventually catch up with Deureo. Of course, it being small too, made it to a disadvantage.

Out of breath, he saw Deureo had beaten him, as usual; his Pokemon was getting faster all the time. As he got in his house, he saw his eldest sister, already home, watching some cheesy soap opera on the tv.

"Tell mom I'm going to Alyse's house." He attempted at a command.

"Tell her yourself!" She said simply, keeping her eyes on the television.

Not trusting his sisters enough to leave a message, he wrote one himself and put it on the fridge. Before leaving to his friend's house, he dropped off his own bag, took up his explorer's bag (with essential items), he gave Deureo some food, and he ate a small bag of chips.

"Okay I'm gone." He said. No response as usual.

Walking to the street, he turned to Deureo, "wanna race again?" he asked?

In answer Deureo sped off towards Alyse's house.

Eventually he saw his friend's house come into view, and no sooner, did he see Heidi already waiting there. She was sitting on the porch looking bored.

With his Vulpix slowing down next to him, he stopped in front of Heidi and out of breath said, "H-hey."

He bent over grabbing his knees so he could catch his breath, but smiled nonetheless.

Kyle looked at the other yawning classmates; all of them had been waiting for the bell to ring, including the child that seemed to show little emotion. Kyle was always the kid who sat in the back, left corner, away from the other children and their socializing. His body was in the Miss Ovelby's class, yet his mind was elsewhere. He, of all people, was invited to Alyse's house after class had ended. Kyle assumed it was either a mistake, or her parents forced her to invite him. He looked at the teacher who was preaching some talk about the history of the region, when he saw a flash of purple in the corner of his eye. He knew exactly at that moment who it was. He sat back in his seat to see and enjoy what she had planned, but before he even touched the back of his seat, it happened.

"And here the Western forces burned down the original Violet City in retaliation for the Sacking of Olivine Har-- GAAAAAAH!" The explosion flew pink paint up to Ovelby's face, her outfit ruined. She gave a roar of disapproval in the middle of her so-called "teaching." She glared at Heidi, but Kyle was content with what he had seen, and blocked out her yelling. He gave a slight smirk at Heidi's newest, and greatest accomplishment. All of the class roared with laughter at the explosion, except for Kyle, who looked down to his desk, pulled his hood over his head to hide his emotion, then chuckled as well, with the rest of the class.
Heidi stood up soon afterwords, and Kyle looked up as the class applauded. Kyle, himself, even gave a few content claps of his hands, which was extremely unusual for him.

"ALL OF YOU SHUT UP! WE HAVE 20 MINUTES UNTIL YOU'RE OUT OF HERE. BE QUIET AND LISTEN!" Ovelby screamed, which silenced the room quicker than the explosion that occured.

Kyle looked up at the clock. Managed to kill a good five minutes, Heidi did, and then quickly lost his excitement for her. Why can't I be accepted like her? How come I have never had a fr-- human friend? He envied her from the silence of his desk, then he hated everyone in the room. He looked around, not a single student was alone. Each one leaned to a friend and whispered about the prank, which Kyle hated, and envied more than anything.

Later in the class, about seven minutes afterwards, Kyle made his move to escape. He raised his hand innocently from the back.

"Yes, Kyle, what's your question?" the still-furious teacher spat out, trying to sound as calm as possible. Kyle simply responded, "May I go to the restroom?"

"Kyle, we have fifteen minutes left in class, you can wait!" and with that, she had closed the subject and Kyle sat back in his seat, thinking. Maybe I shouldn't have asked that after her prank. He chuckled back at the thought of her prank and shrugged.

Class came to a slow and eventual end, and Kyle was the last one to leave the school building, casually leaving with one hand on his backpack strap. He sighed at the exit of the school building, still wondering whether or not he should go to the gathering at Alyse's house. I'll decide later… Kyle procrastinated often, and this was a smaller case of it, often times he didn't do his homework until the day the assignment was due. He was smart, but his grades were lacking due to this terrible habit of his. Kyle didn't mind, however, as his parents wouldn't expect much of him later in life. He walked home slowly, continuously debating the pros and cons of the idea of this gathering he had been invited to. Kyle was distracted as he opened the door to his house, and as soon as he did, his pokémon flew at him with its wings and tackled him hard onto the concrete. "Hey! No fair! I was thinking about something!" Kyle stood up, wiping the dust off of him, and eyeing the Heracross that attempted to do this everyday day to him. It was snickering at its success. Kyle and the large beetle had been doing this since they were close, due to the fact the beetle waits all day, every weekday for the twelve year old to return, the pokémon would try to tackle Kyle out of happiness.

The twelve year-old plopped on the couch next to his pokémon, after fetching a few poffins from the family's poffin case, and himself a snack. I guess it's up to what's on television if I go or not… and with that, he flipped on the television. Kyle turned it onto a news channel, which every kid his age would find boring, and he looked through each network, seeing if anything he enjoyed was on. He looked like he was at comfort, a hand pointed toward the television with the remote in it, and his other on the Heracross he found in a tree a few years ago, which was nibbling away happily on its own poffin.

Kyle stood up after a while, and let out a yawn "Well, I guess we're going out!" Heracross looked at its master, after its third poffin was snacked down to about half and cocked a head at him, making a questionable noise out of its throat. "No, don't worry, it's just to a friend's house." Kyle said to his nervous pokémon, then returning his bug to its high-tech capsule, "Now into the pokéball you go." The boy picked up his pack, filled with some essentials, pulled his hood to make some of his face disappear into its depths, and walked back into the kitchen. Going out, Cya later! he had written on a note to whichever parent would find it. With that, he left to the girl's house, wondering what she had planned and why she had invited one of the most closed-off, socially, children in the class. Kyle arrived, surprisingly after all he had done, third. His house was near the school, and on the way to Alice's house. He looked at the two who looked like they had already interacted, and sat against the house further away from them, pulling out his Pokégear and a set of earphones to listen to some music.

It was a typical day, and like a typical day, to Alyse Walker, that made it typically boring. In the midst of class, which she seemed to find more uninteresting than usual, she was staring out the nearby window with her cheek resting on her right palm, a tiny left leg shaking energetically below the desk. It also didn't help that she was anxious to see her friends after class, and since she wanted to leave so bad, time seemed to be passing slower than usual. The question as to why she was attending school as opposed to going on her Pokemon journey was more than a simple question that had been weighing on her mind lately. She was old enough, she had her own Pokemon, and she had done a lot of traveling with her parents, yet why did they insist she attend school first? She had too much energy for school!

Although it wasn't like she was the only one that didn't want school to keep her contained. As a matter of fact, one of the others was just about to get herself in trouble, again. Alyse didn't condone of Heidi's behaviour, she never had. She was always getting into trouble, which was fine, since they were kids, but that girl had a habit of attracting more trouble then was necessary. In this regard, Alyse had always thought of herself as the party-pooper of the group, trying to talk Heidi out of doing potentially harmful things. This instance was no different, as after noticing what was transpiring, the green-haired girl extended a small arm to try and stop the girl, but she was far too late as the Ekans slithered up to the front of the room.

The balloon sounded a moment later, and after the paint splattered their teacher, the room erupted in applause. Alyse, however, chose not to laugh, ultimately, in fear of getting in trouble again. The last time she had gotten in trouble, her parents took Chikorita away from her for a whole day! It wasn't much longer before Kyle made a faulty attempt to bail as well using the classic bathroom excuse. Honestly, Alyse had made very little contact with that older boy. He didn't talk a lot, and he when he did he was more blunt than she would have liked. But, the others seemed to not mind him, so she really had little choice when it came to inviting him to hang out. She even felt a little bit satisfied when their teacher shot him down so quickly.

When class finally ended, the red-eyed girl was out of the classroom in a flash, after literally tossing all of her books into her backpack, of course. As she broke out of the school's door, she was quick to pull a Pokeball out of her pack and toss it onto the ground, a Chikorita emerging from light that followed. The green Pokemon quickly ran over to her trainer and began rubbing up against her leg, Alyse bending over to pick the Pokemon up with a smile before running down the dirt path with creature between her arms.

Shortly after, she came to the fork in the road that she usually came to right after school. It was the place where she had been meeting her cousin, Kenton, and today was no exception! Yes, the brown haired teen was waiting in front of the usual picket sign that pointed to the school, wearing his usual, worthless-looking smile. As Alyse's mom had remarked multiple times, he didn't look like a very capable person, though Alyse had decided that he really was, he just got pushed around by kids a lot. The girl tackle-hugged her cousin, clinging onto his waist as he was knocked back a ways, startling the Kirlia that had been resting behind the boy.

"So... why exactly am I carrying you?" Several minutes had passed, and Kenton was confused as to how his little cousin had roped him into carrying her on his shoulders. Kirlia was doing the same thing for the Chikorita, but she was dancing around, having a good old time as they continued home.

"Hmm..." The girl hummed in thought as kicked her legs underneath the young man's arms, making him wobble to the side slightly. "I dunno! I just felt like it!" She let go of his shoulders with one of her arms, and began to rub his hair into a bigger mess than it had been already. Kenton let out a sigh. If she wasn't so cute, he'd probably find stunts like this reaaaally annoying.

After a bit more walking, the two and their Pokemon finally arrived at the Walker household. It wasn't much, being a small log home with barely enough rooms for four people, but it was far enough away from the other homes that you felt like you were off in a world of your own, what with the forest backing the house and the field in front with the road. There was also a small pond in the front where the family's Quagsire liked to get it's feet wet. Even now, it was sitting in the water, it's lazy head barely sticking out of the liquid to watch the kids arrive.

Alyse jumped off of Kenton's back, and ran over to the other kids, a big grin on her face that was emphasized by the pink of her cheeks. "Look! Look! We made it! We made it!" she exclaimed to the group as she gave a classic 'V!' with her right hand. "Sorry we were late! Kenton is a really slow means of transportation!"

"Chika! Chika!" The green Pokemon agreed, and Kirlia nodded in agreement.

"I'm not!" The boy exclaimed, getting laughter from Alyse and the two Pokemon they had been traveling with. If only days could stay that peaceful.

The clouds were really pretty today. There was a pidgey, a piplup, a giant slide, some ice cream and she thought the last one was probably something along the lines of a Palkia eating a bowl of rammen with Mewtwo. Or maybe that was just her daydream. She wasn't too sure. The sky was pretty today, it almost always was, and with a gentle breeze blowing on her face, the little girl was just in heaven. Perched up on her Encyclopedia novel [She was too short to really fit in the desk comfortably anyways] she had her chin in her hands, her bright blue eyes staring listlessly at those pretty pretty clouds. She didn't notice the teacher heading her way nor did she notice the teacher standing next to her. It wasn't until Ms Ovelby slammed her book down on the desk that the girl snapped out of her stupor, her face turning a bright red as her arms began to flail in response. "Nyao Nyao!" She squeaked, shielding her head and curling up into a little ball.

"Miss Stratos would you mind telling the class what we were just talking about?"

She blinked, uncurling for just a moment to stare at the woman's face a moment before responding, complete with a finger point. "Ms Ovelby? Did you know? You have a pimple." Closing her eyes, she giggled nervously, "You should care of it. Mama says if you don't take care of those things, they can get infected nyao!"

The class erupted into giggles, and the vein in that teacher's eye began to twitch once more. Through gritted teeth, she slammed her hand down on the desk, causing the girl to coil up once more in a flinch-like reaction, "YOU. HALLWAY. BUCKETS. NOW."

Rubbing the back of her neck, she smiled, nodding, "Yes Ms Ovelby..." Hanging her head slightly, she half walked half ran out of the classroom and wandered down the hall to the storage room. Buckets buckets, where were they again? Tapping her finger on her chin, she wandered around the room. They had to be in here somewhere. Heidi always had to stand out holding them. She always complained and made such a ruckus, she never stayed out there the entire time. Except that one time, when she had a sore throat and couldn't squawk. That had been a scary day. Alyse's cousin Kenton had said that the reason Heidi hadn't been able to talk was because there was a poliwag stuck in her throat that was snuggling her voice box, thus making it too hard for her to talk if not painful because it was using Water Gun on her voice box. She blushed thinking about that day; she'd cried for almost an hour before Alyse found out and scolded her cousin for being mean and then Kale had told her it was just a figure of speech which meant it was just a silly little story and not actually true. Kyle had slept through the whole thing or something, she couldn't remember. But that happened a lot. She sighed, shoulders slumping forward. She didn't get things like everyone else always, at least not right away, and that wasn't the first or the last time she'd cried over something so silly.

"Hee hee hee..." Karin blushed, rubbing the back of her neck. "I'm... silly."

Filling the buckets with water, she half carried half spilled the buckets on her way back to the classroom and stood outside, arms outstretched like she was supossed to, for a good three minutes before final bell. Dropping the buckets, she skittered back inside, gathered her bag and proceeded to run towards the door. Alyse's house Alyse's house, Mama knows I'm going so I can just- Thwack. Right into the doorframe. Taking a step back, she stammered, blubbering for a moment before outright bawling, squatting down and rubbing the sore spot on her forehead, "Nyao Nyaoooooo...." A rumbling in her backpack, a small furry head. Her Meowth, hearing his trainer's usual bawlings, had ruptured his pokeball and was now sitting on her head, his gentle eyes staring into her tear filled ones as he gently licked the sore spot, "Nya Nyaa." Nuzzling her cheek, he settled up on her shoulder.

"A-au... T-thanks Len!" A smile returned and she rubbed away the tears. Standing up, she brushed herself up and started to run once more towards the house. She was late, she knew that already, but when she saw the whole group on the porch, she began to panic, "U-um! Everyone! I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm late!" Tears threatening to overflow once more, she bolted up the stairs and tripped on the second one, her face slamming into the hardwood of the deck. She skittered up onto her knees, rubbing her eyes frantically before any more tears could fall. "U-um...Um... S-so what are we doing today?" Her tears faded at the thought and a giddy smile spread across her face, "Are we going exploring!?"

"Heck yes we're going exploring! And no crying. What did I say about crying. We're big girls now," Heidi said as she reached into her bookbag. She pulled out a book that was nearly as tall as Karin and slammed it onto the porch. A plume of dust exploded from the cover and quickly dissipated into the air. "I... uhh... borrow it from Miss Ovelby every once in a while when I hear somethin'. Anyway, the other day I heard a bunch of seventh graders talking about how this old house in the middle of the forest got reopened the other day. They were saying the roof collapsed a long, long, long time ago and just recently it got fixed and opened back up to the rest of the world."

Heidi looked down at the book and opened it to the page her Dunsparce bookmark was on. The page was titled 'The Wicked Witch of Ecruteak's Manor.' Heidi then read the description:

Long ago, a witch was said to live on the outskirts of the old Ecruteak settlement. She was renowned for her magic and many feared her. Because of this, everyone avoided going into the forest in fear of provoking her quick temper. One day, a group of naive children ventured into the forest and disappeared. Their parents were outraged and set off into the forest to find the witch and get their children back. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the house was empty. It was as if the witch had disappeared. They never found her or the children ever again. Some say this house was only a temporary hideout for the witch. Her real house was said to be further into the forest, hidden by her magic...

"Today, we're gonna go to this witch's house and see if we can figure out where her real house is!" Heidi said with a huge grin on her face. "My mommy said it was okay as long as Kenton went along with us. And of course this is alright with Kenton. Not like he has much of a choice!"

"Of course, we have to be home before supper so we'll only be there for an hour or two. Daddy said its only a twenty minute walk there anyway. So we can explore for at least an hour before coming back!"

Heidi leaped up and stood, resembling a commander speaking to their troops before going into battle. "We'll love no room unturned. No door not peaked into. No window unopened! We will figure out this witch's secret and become world famous! Isn't that right Kenton!" She then messed with his hair a bit and grinned.

She stuffed the book back in her bag and latched it shut. "I brought some water bottles and snacks in case anyone got hungry. I figured the cafeteria wouldn't miss them much anyway. So is everyone ready to go!?"

Kyle had removed his earphones when Alyse arrived. he didn't mind her as much as the rest of the kids. She seemed more… sensible… to him. She was always the girl to try and stop Heidi's more outrageous and dangerous pranks, which he found an interesting trait in her. He looked around at the three kids, and before he stood up, Karin had ran in, and tripped on one of the stairs. Kyle sighed at the girl's carelessness. Looking at the group in a whole, he didn't really despise any of the kids, even though he had certain envy toward Heidi, he didn't mind her as much as he could have.

He walked over to the group and heard the question of exploration come up. None of them had seen his Heracross, at least, that's what he imagined, and this exploration might be a good time to introduce his pokémon. He liked to keep Heracross to himself; Kyle was embarrassed at his giant beetle's poor fighting, and he brought that upon himself. Some eight year old had seen Heracross in his family's tree, and started some ridiculous rumor about Kyle torturing it, and it was some super-pokémon or something, but he didn't pay any attention toward such stupid lies.

He listened as the girl read the description, which was upside-down text for the boy to read himself. After hearing the story, he was a little unnerved on the inside, but tried to keep his emotions low. "A haunted mansion, huh? This should be fun…" Kyle had always had a soft spot for adventure, and this was no exception. He looked through his hood at the others, and chuckled his own nervous laugh. He despised his looks more than any other child, which is why he always kept his hood on. Kyle wasn't a 'bad' looking kid; he just never looked at himself up to his standards. Looking to the others, he wanted to see who was in on this adventure. "Although, it will be a little dangerous in a manor this size, especially if Ghost pokémon have inhabited it… I know my pok—" he stopped, not wanting to let out his secret, then tried to correct himself, "I hear they are quite hard to hit…" He looked down, trying to avoid any questioning in what he had said. Kyle assumed avoiding contact would be a worthless attempt to kids of his age. He knew curiosity was usually one of the largest traits of children around the age of 11. Kyle reached a hand into his pocket, his thumb hanging out, to ensure that his pokéball was still in there, even though he knew it was.

Making contact with his pokéball gave Kyle some sort of relief. He always wanted to be reminded that if he were ever in trouble, Heracross would be by his side. He had a habit of putting his hand in his pocket when he was nervous, it was both a habit that made him look a little better, and comforted him. The boy looked at the other pokémon around the group, an Ekans, Kirlia, Chikorita, and a Meowth. These pokémon were all content with their trainers and the others around. Heracross was a very reserved pokémon, just as his personality seemed to be predominant in. Kyle never wanted Heracross to suffer through individuality like Kyle, so he never wanted the bug to meet others.

Not that I have much of a choice? Kenton thought to himself as he managed to stifle a sigh. That was actually a falsity, seeing as he was technically in charge of what was considered dangerous or not, and thus had the authority to accept or deny an adventure idea. Though, clearly the truth of this matter had been long lost to the girl with the plan. He had to admit, the idea of exploring a house - that may or may not be haunted - was actually rather enticing as opposed to the night of training he had planned, but if the house really was that old, Gastly and Haunter probably inhabited it at this point, which at the very least was an issue for his Kirlia and Alyse's Chikorita considering the ghost and poison types.

"I'm game, I'm game!" Alyse exclaimed enthusiastically as she ran over Kenton's right side, tugging at his arm in a manner that suggested 'let's go'! Normally she'd be opposed to this kind of adventure, especially considering the risks. But, if Heidi's dad said it was okay, then what could possible go wrong, right? "So, if we get all big and famous, then that means I could be like... a superstar, right!?" Stars pretty much formed in her eyes at the thought, the wild dreams of a child.

Kenton let out another sigh, a sigh of defeat as Kirlia danced over to his other arm and began pulling on that one. Apparently she wanted to go too. Sometimes it felt like there were more kids than there actually were thanks to these Pokemon. "Alright, alright, we can go. But..." The young man sent a sharp glance in Heidi's direction. "Make sure you stay with Kirlia and I the whole time. No running off. And, Heidi, please keep in mind that not everyone is as daring as you. Just because you can do something doesn't mean the others are able to as well. If you respect that, then nobody will get hurt..." Why did he even agree? He just knew this was going to be a hassle!

OOC: Sorry for shortness, there wasn't much to say, really...

No sooner than he got there, did others begin to show up. Kale looked at the various people arriving. Kyle was the next to arrive. He used to be in the same class as him, though he knew Kyle got held back the latest year, while he, Kale, moved on. He didn't talk much, even when Kale attempted conversation. Kale however, was still determined to break open that shell if need be.

Not a moment after, he saw Alyse and Kenton approaching. These two, Kale thought always to be an odd pair, and at times, it was difficult to see who was more in control of the other. Kale thought Alyse to be very level –headed like himself and even found Kenton to be kind of cool.

Lastly he saw Karin making her way (or trying to at least) to the rest of them, the last of us to show up. Kale tried to look out for her at times, perhaps being the most naive of the group, she sometimes didn't understand something, or took something for granted.

Thus everyone was here. Kale smiled, seeing everyone together again. He knew each friend brought something to the group and that they would indeed carry out a great adventure again.

Heidi, seeing everyone ready, started to go into her spiel of what she had planned to do. It was about the Witch in the house in the woods, he had heard it before, in stories, but had not thought much of it. He remembered after first hearing the story that he wished that all 3 of his sisters could disappear like that. He shuddered at past memories with them...

Heidi finally mentioned the destination, and at once Kale was eager to go. Nothing like a team adventure, and perhaps even a chance to see new Pokémon, or even train with them, for that matter. Hopefully it was for that reason anyway, because he too despised being in the same house with 3 sisters...

Thus he gave a big cheer, and threw his hand up in air. He became embarrassed however when no one was reciprocating this behaviour and embarrassingly and slowly brought his arm down.

"... Well I can be excited!" He said at an attempt to defend himself. His Vulpix came to his aid though, clearly also enthused by this latest adventure. Deureo jumped up in from of him and Kale caught him in the belly and laughed heartily at his Pokemon's eagerness.

"All right! Let's go!" Kale exclaimed, ignoring Kenton's fervent wishes and qualms.
