I was wondering... What's the difference in a PC Supporter and Moderators? I mean, moderators give support, PC Supporters well, give support as well... So what's the difference in them, I have seen some members have a PC Supporter and Moderator button in their profile, like youoman and others.

I am just wondering this, just was seeing some locked threads by youoman and saw that he had moderator and PC Supporter buttons.

    Thanks,
    Chuchoide

The difference is that PC supporters offer their money to the community by "donating" whereas a moderator is chosen by higher staff to manage a paticular section or the plural. It's true that moderators do get a lot of the extra little perks that the supporters get but only as a little "thank you" from the community and for helping out as being apart of staff. Moderators do have more power or options however. If they moderate a section, they have the ability to lock threads, delete threads, warn/infract users etc. whereas being a supporter would obtain you benefits listed on this page. Some moderators also donate to the community though. But primarily, a supporter is someone who donates money to PC and a moderator is a member of the staff team who manage a section or more than one.

Ohhh, I see, thanks for the info Abnegation, I really was wondering a LOT of that, because PC Supporter made me think they give out support, but donating is also support to the community, so I understand.

Thanks a lot Abnegation, as I said, I was wondering a LOT.

A PC suppoter doesn't have any moderation powers (but moderators can also be supporters). You get your own blog, more signature space, and access to a special VIP Forum in which staff regularly asks for your input on important issues.
