wow, these are absolutely pathetic. But I still say that the Exeggutor sprite form Green (and just about every other game) is the worst of the worst.

R/B Dragonair is one awful sprite.
 
I have to dissagre with the haunter sprite, I personaly like that one, and after looking at third gen sandshrew I just noticed that it's flipping me off

They really aren't that bad, after all. The RBY sprites look ADORABLE.
 
I think the Ivysaur and Venesaur sprites from R/B/Y/G just don't look right.

Since when it had claws? Isn't that the first sprite, and if so I don't think "since when" sounds right? Maybe it was meant to have that, but they removed them later on.
 
naw kakunas always had claws but they're never shown extended like that anymore

Haunter. I've always thought Haunter looked pretty freaking cool in Red/Blue/Yellow

the R/B one was kind of off-model but still really evil and awesome looking!

I totally agree with you. The new sprite . . . what is it? The Blue Version one looks much better

And Lucario's back sprite. The outline and shading are just horrid.
 
hey, dont 4get, Red/Blue & Green were made quite a while ago, with probably not very good equipment, since then nintendo has porobably bought better equipment and therefor got better sprites
 
I actually like Pigeott's and Alakazam's. Since it made both of them look more threatening. Same with haunter. They all just made pokemon so less intimidating and more kiddy

Shiney Dialga: R/B/Y were on the original Gameboy. That game system couldn't handle the intense graphics we are used to today. That was the most pixles Nintendo thought the game could handle. Plus you have to think. This was what these pokemon originally looked like. Nintendo just retconned their appearance to what we see today
 
well, getting back on subject, i hate all the Pokemon Gold sprites, i dont mind the Silver ones, Nintendo made them look cool, i just cant stand the Pokémon Gold version ones,
