Is the d/p/pt games worth getting i have none but emulators are not good and i want to buy. I'm on a tight budget are they worth it or should i save my money for HeartGold and SoulSilver? Thank in advance.

I'd buy it. I just ordered my copy (so excited!!!). I thought I could last without getting a 4th-gen pokemon game but it's just so much better and seems like more fun than the other generations. The storyline is apparently fairly deep, the upgrades are astounding, wifi is added, just loads of helpful and fun features. HGSS will probably be coming out next spring (US), so if you can wait that long... more power to you.

(I'd buy platinum if I were you =P) Maybe you'll have a lucky break by the time HGSS comes

I would just get Platinum just so you know how the 4th generation is. Personally I didn't think it was that great, but you may want to try it. If you can only afford either Platnium or HG/SS I would hold off and wait for HG/SS.

Heart gold/ soul silver isnt coming out for a long time, so I would buy platinum right now. Its a bit easy, but generally its a very fun gaming experience. (Especially if you train kricketune!)

If you're looking for a good 50 hours out of generation 4, buy Platinum.
Don't bother with Diamond or Pearl, since Platinum is about the exact same adventure with a few better upgrades.
