Besides evolving once for pokedex entries, do any of the following have any real use?

i know some seemingly "worthless" pokemon have future evos in gen2 etc, so i have not included those....

    worthless list(?):
    dugtrio
    dodrio
    kingler
    seaking

    thoughts?

I would add raticate definately to that list and onix looks a likely contender.
Kingler might find its niche if there are any Pokemon that have an attack that is weak against water but steel is super effective against it (not checked if there is yet but that's the only use if it's out there I can think of for kingler)
Also to add to the worthless list is any pure fire type that isn't Arcanine, Since ember is awful and Fire Fang is amazing and so giving the most powerful fire type the best fire move makes the rest of them pointless

You can search up tier lists online.

Like in the core series games, some Pokémon are simply better because they have superior stats and better movesets.

It's all about the type of the pokemon. They can play well if countered against weaker type of pokemon, etc water against grass.

Many pokemon are useless right now, its narrow at the top.

Niantic could do some balancing, or just release 100 new pokemon. I hear that some pokemon with especially fast moves that used to be really great in the classic games, like Gengar, are weaker than they should be in pokemon go because attack speed did not get taken into account properly.
