Would I be a N00b?

The reason I'm not all "OMG U CANT USE UBERZ U n00BZ!" is because I know it's a game, and some people just have fun using it. Time after time, I love to use Kyorge in my normal team.

Still, I kow how long it takes to properly train. It took me five months to breed the right Oddish, so I can understand when people uses the word noob. I like to win, well, the compettitive way. So while you're free to use ubers on random, well, be prepared to be looked down at.

However, when someone starts claim they are the best using ubers, I draw the line. I take it as an insult, because, well, you are so pathetic, you NEED ubers. Well, not YOU, but a person that says those things.

yeah I totally agree, man I hate that

- Ubers can be rightfully used in the Uber Environment. There are numerous trainers who use Ubers to battle. There is nothing wrong with that. If you have a team that is specially designed for the Uber Environment, you won't be looked down at.

- Ubers can be misused though. If you put an uber on some random assortment of a team, you probably will get looked down at. Luxray, Donphan, Garchomp, Gliscor, Porygon2, Palkia. Palkia came from nowhere! This team is not designed for the uber environment, more of the OU environment. So if you have a team like this, you will most likely be frowned upon.

- You see, there are different tiers. Overused[OU] is only one step down from Uber. If someone asks for an OU or just a regular battle, don't use your Uber pokemon.

True as this is, you missed a key issue. These are random battles. No saying "I want OU?Uber. So, as you said, they will be looked down upon.

You aren't necessarily a n00b if you use Ubers in standard play if you know how to use them (with EVs, good movesets, etc.) It just shows you need to learn about tiers.

When you use Hyper Beam Rayquaza, then a n00b you probably are. If you use DD Ray with Life Orb and Outrage and sweep even Uber Teams of good players, you aren't a n00b.

Those are mostly generalizations, but yeah.

The Uber metagame is about as balanced as a scale with Rick Majerus on one end and a grain of sand on the other (as in it isn't balanced at all), so learning to use Ubers can be difficult.

If you hack, you're instantly are labeled a n00b. Just try to play fair and use good tactics, and have some fun. Yeah...

BTW, as mentioned, putting Ubers on a standard team is a really bad idea, especially Attack Deoxys, which shreds apart literally 99% of the standard metagame, except priority move users and Jolly Ninjask.

So yeah, just keep things in their own tiers, and yeah.

Actually, that's the whole reason they are banned. A well trained uber doesn't belong in standard play. And that's why people are considered noobs with them, because you need them to win.

If you can make a well trained uber, you can make other well trained pokes.

Well, exactly. That's what I mean...if you accidentally (I probably should have added that lol) use them in the wrong tier due to inexperience or w/e, you aren't a n00b...that was the point I was trying to make ;)

If you can make a well trained uber, you can make other well trained pokes.

Ubers are actually even harder because they're so hard to catch with good IVs, nature, etc. and sometimes even a hidden power value...though that's just legendary pokemon in general.

I really need to stop answering in bold with the character limit lol

Anyways, some people are too hard on people who are just beginners. The hackbags that have their Sacred Fire Rayquaza on the other hand...

No, she asked first. That alone makes her less of a noob. Knowing & not knowing is all the difference.

My definition of a n00b is an ignorant user who swears they are hot shark (I've just seen my fisrt episode of Battlestar Galactica) BECAUSE of ubers.

TIP: n00bs are players who lack competitive battling skills.

However, people have a negative stereotypical impression due to this statistical coincidence with n00bs using Ubers quite often. Just because someone uses Ubers does not automatically grant someone the right to label them as n00bs.

This is true, but remember, this is a random enviorment. There are specific tiers that each poke belongs to. Any user who uses ubers, despite being a good trainer, in their regular team and thinks that is ok, gives the opponnent the right to use the word noob. Ubers belong to their own tier. You basically give off the impression that you lack skill when ubers are in your team.

Hmm in my point of view.. yea xD (No offence). i hate people who use a whole team of legandaries. I use a palkia because my team sucks xD But only 1.

Well, Miss, admitting you have a problem is the first step....

Seriously, that makes you much less, um, "nooby", I think.

Well the only reason i use it is because i need something "Powerfull" Till my tyranitars working :)
MY team is: (Just names)
Scizor

Mismaguis
Kingdra
Charizard
Alakazam
Tyranitar
bold = I'm making xP

Remember folks theres a distinction between the following: NEWB and NOOB

Newbs have protential to learn and get better. Noobs tend not to choose this option or are igornant of what true battling is all about.

Newbs are like seeds, Noobs are like skin cancer

Great. Another great post I can't fit into my sig.

Really?

Cause all I hear is that "a N00b used legendaries" and stuff like that.

It's really only the tourneyjerks (explicit scientific name for them removed due to content) that will call people noobs for using Legendaries. Those people really need to get over themselves. As it is, whether you're a 'noob' or not is only the opinion of those that say you are.

I use them, and I don't think I'm a noob. Do others think I am? Well, some people do, but most really don't care, and I really don't care what others think about the way I play games. Granted, I usually avoid online battling like the plague. But the short answer is no. You're not a noob for using Legendary Pokemon. At least, not in my opinion.

Now using UMBRELLA to get rid of the bat Pokemon, that's just cheating.

N00b= Annoying, spamming, bragging, cheating, dim-witted person that lacks skill and who defines themself as superior to others while using super powered pokes but do not know anything exept they are powerful.
