Would you have liked new people for new regions?

How would you feel if, instead of the anime following Ash through every region it started each new region with a new group? I was watching some Pokemon Chronicles, and Jimmy and co certainly was a breath of fresh air. So it got me thinking what if every new region had a different group?

It would make a lot more sense then ash never aging or having to "reset" his/her skill.

So.....you are trying to imply that they should leave out ash right? Well, I don't think that's the best idea, Especially since Ash is the Main Hero. Removing Companions was hard but passable. But changing Ash? Pokemon is revolved around him, and why shall they remove him after they progressed this far with him. Anyway, removing companions, I don't favor it but still, it isn't the end of the show because upcoming companions are also as cool as the earlier. For an instance, as they removed Misty, May, and Dawn, I still kept on going watching the show, even though I miss everyone of them. But if they remove Ash.....consider the show done. I personally am not gonna watch it.

It would be one thing if Ash character progressed instead of regressing every Saga, but that's not the case. But if they did leave Ash after his lose to Richie that would have left a sour taste in my mouth, especially the way he lost. Now if they made them successful or somewhat successful(which as was far from considering multiple loses to gym leaders) that would be one thing but as it stands it just leaves me wanting more.

I won't like the idea just because of the fact that I really didn't like the Pokemon Chronicals. I just can't see a whole new series with a new main character, I grew up on watching Ash and Pikachu and as for his friends, I am use to them moving on with their lives.

It probably isn't a good idea to change any characters, never mind Ash. On the other hand, it's probably would be a better choice to replace him, since honestly, I'd prefer it if they have someone who actually does have an excuse to not know that well about what they are doing as well as making beginner mistakes than having Ash constantly making rookie mistakes despite his not being a rookie anymore. Now, maybe if they wrote Ash to actually reflect a seasoned veteran (IE, someone who, while not unbeatable, certainly knows how to beat advanced trainers and wouldn't make rookie mistakes, almost similar to Solid Snake in terms of personality), I wouldn't feel as though they should replace Ash.

The idea would work if this happened after the first season. Like, after Kanto the writers would focus on Jimmy (Johto) or Ritchie (Orange Islands), then move on accordingly with the respective regions. But it's really too late for them to replace Ash (sadly...). I kind of wish they made like a corresponding anime with more focus on the Pokemon Chronicles, making it into an actual series rather than side episodes.
