I don't think I would... while it would be cool to play on my 3DS, I guess, I still have my original cartridges and my early-era Gameboys. I like the nostalgia factor of playing through the games on the old handhelds, so for me it doesn't make much sense.
But I would love to see them released anyways. For me it's been fairly easy to track down cartridges of the games I haven't had when I wanted them (I didn't play any Gen III games when they came out, and purchased the games used later one) but that's not an option for everyone and you do run the risks of fakes. Plus for those who don't have older systems anymore, seems kind of ridiculous to buy one just to play an old game in a physical format.
The only exception is that I would LOVE to see them released Gen III games digitally that are compatible with Pokemon Bank/Transfer... Would really speed up the process of getting some of those Pokemon all the way to Gen VI :)
