4th Gen wow...the selection blows

I thought Hoenn were the best and that Johto was the worst :P.
1= Hoenn
2= Kanto
3= Sinnoh
4= Johto

wow, grassguy and Amp are out of their mind :P (no offense)!
i guess i experienced it like this:
R/B/Y: I saw some episodes of the anime, got fascinated by the cards and stuff and wanted to explore the world. huge adventure.
G/S/C: New pokemon, a cool new world with good stories (goldenrod is cool), many cool features like daycare and day/night and also a return to Kanto where all those famous character grew older, very cool.
R/S/E: Strange new world, nothing new, no connection to the previous games, the anime or whatever. Just more of the same.
D/P: Cool new world. Many new features. WiFi! But then again; i dont remember much of the single player part, since i played it in the week my girlfriend was at my place before she would travel the world for a long time and she was pissed when i played the game so i had to play it secretely without sound when she was asleep...
So.. They all have pros, except for R/S/E, that just really sucked.

My biggest problem with the selection was the lack of a good fire type. I started with piplup so I was stuck with a ponyta forever :(

snap, started with piplup, the only well designed starter for this gen, only to discover an over-abundance of weak water types.
the 4th gen does have some redeeming designs, e.g. riolu and...er... well, riolu, but on the other hand, wouldnt you love to shoot whoever thought up lopunny?

besides, they'll never recapture the overwhelming sense of adventure that the 1st gen gave everyone, although hoenn nearly managed it.

Gyarados is a weak water type? :D Ponyta is a disgrace compared to Infernape. Not question.

Empoleon, I used it, it really disappointed me. It had horrible speed, lots of weaknesses, and had poor attack.

Floatzel is awesome. Speed above plenty of things plus the ability to learn Ice Beam and take on Garchomp = Win.

yeh i chose piplup and i feel like a total retard....stuck wit ponyta...dumb little horse thingy :(

Of course, I wasn't that hopeless. My Garchomp had Flamethrower. Fuego Ironworks FTW!

purugly is the worst and as its name describes it to be(purUGLY), the ugliest pokemon ever!
i simply hate it and i think they put it in to piss us off
toehr than that
i sorta like some pokemon from r/s/e
like metagross and milotic for example
there both in my team, and there great together
now the pokemon from 1st gen. no one EVER can beat that. EVER
2end was pretty chill with tiranitar and the starters were cool (typhlosion!!)

Johto had the best starters in my opion and some really great new pkmn as well but ur right no one can beat 1st Gen{Charzard}
the onlypkmn i like in this gen are glacion and lucario u cant beat glacian its the best

Agreed, but Diamond and Pearl were the first games to outsell Gold and Silver >.<;
If Nintendo/Game Freak REALLY wanted to rake in some cash, they'd remake GSC for the DS...I want my Totodile dangit!

no theyd make gsc for gameboy
because they did it for red and blue so then when u have gsc on gameboy, people will migrate with it
and the 2end gen pokedex will be easier to get
i think gsc for gameboy is a better idea
cuz then like if u have great pokemon in diamond, and u want to complete the pokedex in it and u have gsc on ds, u cant trade unless u have 2 ds's, so on gameboy id be better. MIGRATING!!!

What?! Why would they release a new game on Gameboy? Think about it, seriously...

well why not
it be cool to remake them
like not the exact same but they did it with red and blue I.E. fire red leaf green
i mean id be fun to get the starters and 2end gen pokemon easily onto D/P

/facepalm I didn't say don't remake them, just why on the outdated Gameboy?

no i mean gameboy advanced
just so it can be like migrate u know?>
i still play some gameboy like my emerald and stuff
i think on gameboy id be better so u can migrate

Great, lets make a game technically limited to the GBA, when the DS is right over here!!!

wtv man its my opinion
thats yours
lets leave it at that

yeah^^ the selection isnt to great. but after you beat it once you can find all the old pokemon which is really cool.
i have to say tho, sinnoh isnt the best but isnt the worst. it takes 3rd over all for me. hoenn was such a dark time....

Well. IN-game, you can catch a Gible early on and train it. It's banned on these forums so useless if you're battling someone here but in-game. Garchomp can own a lot of things. I trained my Torterra, Staraptor and Luxray until I got my Palkia. Then I started using him.

Empoleon? LOL! Empoleon got great sp. attack and sp. def. which is the purpose of having lots of weaknesses. It's kinda like Milotic in stats. Gosh, why we have to get Ponyta for our prime fire type? Lame-o. Although I like the selection of new grass, electric and dragon types. But I like Emerald more.
