Only reason I'm in wrestling is because of the backstage gossip I listen to on Get in the Ring radio since it keeps me interested, and it finally paid off at this years past Wrestlemania when Shawn Michaels took on Kurt Angle. Now I've seen over 1,000's of matches since I was a toddler from Flair vs. Steamboat in the NWA days right up to last weeks Smackdown where Rey Jr. took on Chavo Guerrero. But that Angle/Michaels match was the 2nd greatest match I've ever seen, made up for the two awful matches that were in the main event Cena/JBL n' HHH/Batista.

Anyway my top 5 favorite WWE wrestlers today, not including wrestlers from NWA/TNA.)
    1) Kurt Angle
    2) Chris Beniot
    3) Edge (Despite the problems between him and Matt Hardy, although I do feel sorry for Matt.)
    4) Shawn Michaels
    5) Carlito "Cool"/Christian

I can't decide on my all time list but my childhood idol was Bret Hart and despite his stroke and him not wrestling anymore, he'll always be my fav. There are few others but for some reason all my fav's pass away aside from Bret (Example: Davey Boy, Curt Henning and Owen Hart who I originally liked as my fav as a kid before Bret since I liked the Blue Blazer even though he lost every match.)

I know WWE isn't real, but it's still worth watching. I am a fan of WWE, but I also know that WWE is fake, so I just watch it because it's fun to watch. If you think about it, they're really actors who star on a bunch of two-hour shows that comes on UPN and Spike TV at regular times. To me (and most people who post here, I suppose), collecting WWE merchandise and watching the shows is about as hobbyist as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc.

This is clarifying my opinions and and more than likely those of others.

People call it fake, yet everyone seems to think wrestlers are super heroes. They "do" get injured and often for that matter, just it is so covered up by storyline from the writers that people seem to get the idea the person is fine despite never experiencing it for themselves. It is "scripted" it's an art they have ways of preventing injury, but none the less accidents have happened countless times (the worst being Owen Hart's death). But when ECW, Mick Foley or Terry Funk exist on television at all, I find it hard to believe people think it is still "all" fake, lol. I mean I honestly think they like pain.

I am only saying that because not all wrestlers get the same paychecks as WWE wrestlers do and they take the same bumps sometimes even more on the independent circuit. :)

My #1 favorite tag team is definately The Hardy Boyz. They rocked.

My #1 favorite wrestler is the great Stone Cold Steve Austin!

Next would have to be The Undertaker from back in the day. The one from before he became that American Badass crap. The true Undertaker...

Exactly,We both know ALL about the Wrestling world's little "words",don't we? ;) Another injury I can remember, and still have this on my computer,is when Chris Benoit broke Sabu's neck, also when Chris Candido(R.I.P) broke his leg at a TNA PPV.

Uh,the pain CAN be real,(Chairshots, going through tables, etc) or you can get injured. Bloodshed IS used by blades, and your good ol' HBK is the #1 person who blades,as he pours buckets of blood(watch Edge Vs. Shawn-Street Fight),as Eddie Gurrerro bladed at Judgement Day '04,which he went into shock for cutting a nerve. and punches,if you watched Taker vs. Vince-Buried alive, when Kane comes out,he LOOKS as if he's striking taker,he isn't,and you can actually see it.

Cena hit the side slam and then looked out in the crowd, a bloody mess. Cena hit the five knuckle shuffle and took JBL down with the FU! JBL rolled to the outside of the ring, and started leaving up the aisle. Cena followed him up and slammed him head first into the limo. Cena then hit a slam onto the limo and it has a huge dent in it. JBL got a thumb to the eye and then hit a swinging neckbreaker onto Cena on the hood of the limo!

JBL threw Cena into some crates, and then pulled out an electric cord, which sparked a bit, and then wrapped it around the throat of Cena. Cena wouldn?t quit, and powered out, and sent JBL through a TV screen! Holy ****! Cena sent JBL through a window of the limo and then tossed him on top of the limo. JBL hit another thumb to the eye and went for a suplex, but Cena reversed and suplexed JBL on the roof of the limo. JBL fell off the limo, and then opened the door and crawled inside. Cena then whipped JBL into the limo door, nearly knocking it off its hinges, and then he did the same again!

Cena kicked the door off the limo and then followed the champion, who was crawling up onto the big rig. Cena tossed him into a CO2 tank, and it blew everywhere, but then he walked into a DDT! JBL told him to quit, and then hammered him on the back before tossing the DJ equipment off the rig. JBL choked Cena with a chord and then climbed up on some scaffold, and choked Cena. Cena then nailed JBL in the head with a mic, and JBL went falling off the rig through a table! Cena pulled a smoke stack chimney thing off the truck and then went to nail JBL with it, and JBL said he quits before Cena could hit him! Cena wins!

Winner and still WWE Champion, John Cena

    The Aftermath:

Cena nailed JBL with the smoke stack and sent him crashing through the glass of the Judgment Day set! Cena went back down to the ring and grabbed his title, and I?m not sure how he can even see with all the blood over his face. Cena celebrated on the ropes with his belt, as fireworks went off all over the arena as Judgment Day went off the air!

Stevie Richards. A.) He's my hometown hero, having lived in my neighborhood of Mayfair in Philadelphia, PA. B.) He had so many great matches in ECW it's ashame he has to job to people like Chris Masters.

Super Crazy. Because the guy was seriously super crazy.

The Undertaker. He's classic man. I think of him as my generation's Hulk Hogan. He was/is the scariest guy in wrestling.

Mikey Whipwreck. Sure, he sucked in WcW, but in EcW he was the man. He was the normal guy, 185 lbs, 5'9", always getting beat down by the bigger guys. But, he freakin' beat the Sandman in one of the greatest EcW title matches ever.

Matt Hardy. I've always been a follower of Mattitude. Back in the day, when the Hardy's were only on Shotgun/Sunday Night Heat, I jocked them hard. When they became Tag-Champs, even more, and when they split up, I was purely on a Matt kick. I hope the crowds at WWE events keep chanting, "You screwed Matt" whenever Lita/Edge are in the ring.

Tommy Dreamer. This guy is the ultimate franchise player. He never once considered leaving EcW. He was a fan favorite, and noone could top him in staying power. He's on my list simply because he has one attribute that's hard to find in wrestlers: Loyalty.

Ultimate Warrior. Sure, now the guy's a racist right-wing republican speaker, but before, he's come to the ring and shake the ropes. Back in the day, he was the greatest, now he just sucks.

Spike Dudley. This guy is incredible. He was a teacher. He decided, I want to wrestle even though I'm only 140 lbs. And what does he do? Create one of the greatest moments in wrestling history. Bam Bam Bigelow threw him three rows deep into the crowd. INTO THE CROWD! The sweet acid drop remains one of my favorite finishers, just for the name.

D'lo Brown. Apparently, I'm the only person who loves this guy. He was everything a wrestler should be. Loud, crass, obnoxious, and one hell of a performer. He never got the opportunity he deserved in WWE. Its ashame.

Lastly, Owen Hart. Now, I know alot of wrestling fans out there will be like "Your only saying him because he died," but this is simply not true. I loved this guy. His fueds with Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, etc. were all incredible. He was most certainly not a Nugget. And it was Time for a Change. I was always behind this guy, even though my dad and friends hated him(to be fair, he was a heel). But the Blue Blazer angles(the original, and the one that unfortunately lead to his death) were phenominal. Owen was one of the greatest performers alive.

***edit*** as for the guys on TNA, A.J. Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Raven are the main people I like there.
