Spoiler:

May awoke to the soft whirring of the ceiling fans situated high above her, on the glossily painted wall. She rubbed her eyes and struggled to get up before she stomach growled in hunger. The young teenager sat up on the soft, bouncy material of the queen-sized bed, and scanned the area around her. It looked very strange and unfamiliar to her, but another voice made her jump before she had time to tuck herself in behidn the warm blankets again.​

"All that sleeping and eating will make you grow fatter and fatter like an ugly pig." That smug voice was unmistakable, and super familiar to May. She instantly awoke and turned around to find a charming green-haired boy with gleaming emerald eyes smirking directly at her. Pouting, she got a pillow and flung it swiftly at Drew, forcing him to retreat.​

"I do NOT look like an ugly pig!" May retorted before knocking her own head. Where on Earth was she? In a bedroom with Drew? Oh, ya, right... Wait, a BEDROOM?! With DREW? "W-where are we?!" May stammared before exclaiming, glancing straight into Drew's lovely, green eyes.​

That made Drew blushed a bit, but it was hardly visible. He was startled but soon regained his cool and aloof composure. "You must be having short-term memory. Unfortunate, for it only happens to the older folks, you know." He took a sip of his fresh orange juice in the cup he held before answering May's question. "We shared the same cabin, remember? This ship provides small rooms, something like bedrooms, but it's small and 2 passengers shared one room." He scrutinised May's face and quickly realised that this was the best time to tease her. "Not like a pig like you will understand anyway."​

"Dreeeew!" May yelled, biting her lips in defeat as Drew dodged the second pillow in an agile manner, taking sips of his orange juice again. "My, my, and I thought our little May will absolutely loooove this brand of orange juice, eh?" May almost drooled when she saw the label on the juice bottle - It was her absolute favourite brand. Licking her lips, she made an unsuccessful jump for the bottle, only to fall onto the floor. "Oww!"​

"You sure do have much energy at this time of the morning!" Drew raised his eyebrows in mock astonishment and pointed to the clock behind cooly. "It's barely after dawn!"​

May turned to gazed at the clock before hollering about her loss. "I could have slept more! Whhhhhhy?!" Her eyes turned teary (cartoonish way), and Drew raised an eyebrow, smirking.​

"You could still go back to your dreams." He pointed out, and May's eye perked up with hopeful eyes. "This train will take at least another 3 hours to reach Johto, stupid." He closed his eyes and took another few sips of the orange juice. "Or, you could take a glass of orange juice as well before you return to sear sleep.."​

May immediately snatched the bottle of orange juice away from Drew and grabbed the nearest cup to her. While pouring the juice with a gleeful grin on her face, she noticed how, from the corner of her eye, Drew's green hair shone from even the slightest radiance pouring through the open windows. Drew caught her eye and gaze over as well, causing May to blush and concentrate on pouring the juice.​

"If you pour that much, it will spill." Drew warned, but May took it as another of his teasing and continued to be stubborn. "Besides, sleeping straight away after consuming anything is the habit of a pig."​

May was about to throw the bottle back at him, but quickly stopped pouring when she realised Drew was right - the juice was spilling. She managed to close the bottle in time, but part of it already spilled onto the green jacket she'd brought along.​

"See? If you don't listen to me, you'll get into trouble," Drew guffawed with a snide beam on his cute face.​

"If I had listened to you, I would have slept and missed this fabulous juice!" May pointed out and flung the bottle hard at Drew, who caught it cooly. "Wait a minute, how do you know it's my favourite brand?" Her eyes narrowed as she stared at Drew, a slight tint of hope in her eyes. "Maybe he likes me... But that's impossible..."​

Drew blushed before replying. "You drank lots of it at the last PokeCenter we met, remember, stupid?" He covered up quickly before finishing his glass of orange juice. ​

"You remembered?" May pressed on.​

"I have excellent memory unlike a certain ugly pig." Drew retorted before leaving the cabin with the empty bottle and glass.​

May gasped furiously and jumped down the bed, dashing after him. When she finally caught up after being shushed by some waitress as everybody was sleeping, Drew was on the deck, overlooking the shimmering, aqua waters of the deep sea.​

"A certain ugly pig, you say?!" May shrieked, and Drew turned around to smirk at her.​

"I'm sure you're smart enough to know who's the certain somepig, May. Of course, since you are already so dumb to chase after me at such an early time, I doubt you'll be able to..." He paused and noticed May's red face. "What?" He raised his eyebrows, annoyed that eh got no response. "May... Are you having a fever?" He raised a concerned ahnd and placed it upon her forehead. "What?!"​

May gulped and bit her tongue. Should she say it? "I... Chased after you?"​

Drew tilted his head. "Of course you did..." He trailed off and suddenly got her meaning. "What, uh, I..." His face grew slightly red as well before he regained his coolness. "I NEVER meant it in any romantic sense, May. You'll never chase after me. Besides, we are only rivals and good friends."​

Those words pierced into May's heart like a thousand knives. Drew thinks that theyw ere only friends. "Well, at least we are good friends..." She muttered slightly.​

"Huh?"​

"N-nothing." May stammered and turned back. "I, umm, am going to catch up with my sleep." She scurried back into the corridor before Drew could stop her.​

"Wait, May!" Drew started, but May was no longer there. In fact, he had heard about the good friends part, and he gazed at the sea. Dolphins were dancing up and down, as if to say good morning to one another. "Friends, huh... Chasing after me?" He clapped a hand over his mouth...​

Back in the cabin, May checked her reflection in the full-length mirror. Am I really that ugly? She thought silently, but decided to shrug the thought off and climb back into bed. By the time she had off the lamp lights, the door opened with a click and Drew appeared.​

May pretended to be sound asleep, and succeeded in tricking Drew, who stared at her in beside her bed. Just as May was about to jump up and scare Drew, he raised his right hand slightly and sat on the bed.​

W-what's he doing?! May screamed hard in her mind, trying not to fidget.​

Beads of perspiration trickled down May's forehead as Drew's shadow towered over her. She was almost close to shivering, but resisted the urge out of fear for embarassment.​

Drew's hand reached out, and slowly rested on her forehead. May's heart skipped a beat. Drew gazed at her, his emerald eyes shining. Hoping that she was really sleeping, he stroke her hair gently, trying not to wake her up.​

May wanted to die. She nearly wished she could be sucked into the earth, or the bed, or wherever she was. Biting her tongue silently, she made a mental note not to jerk. However, all these were just little peanuts compared to what happened next.​

The green-haired guy took May's hand and kissed it quickly before leaving the room, blushing slightly.​

He kissed her hand.​

May made sure Drew had left before smacking herself over annd over again. The boy she totally adored just kissed her on her hand! She felt like screaming 'yes yes yes' all over again, but knew Drew would be back any moment, so she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep silently, dreaming of Drew and her again.​

She remembered the first time they met, it was along the beach when she was practising with Beautifly. Drew had caught a flying frisbee and mocked her. Strange enough, May felt like she knew Drew since young. She reminisced the period after the GF (Grand Festival), she and Drew parted in the beach, too, at nightfall. Her mom has accused her of being Drew's girlfriend.​

Slowly, May drifted off to sleep, engulfing herself in sweet, honey dreams.​

"Aww, you lost on that part!" It was May's turn to smirk at Drew, who sweatdropped and gritted his teeth.​

It was barely past noon, and extreme heat from the blazing Sun was getting everybody in the ferry hot and bothered. May had beat Drew three times in a row in a video game she had played since young, finding an excuse to spend more time with Drew.​

"Do you need any drinks?" A sweet voice asked from behind the sofa Drew and May were sitting. Both turned their heads around to find a beautiful girl with pale green hair and shiny, emerald eyes gazing sweetly at them.​

'Who's she...?' May wondered, feeling a wtinge of jealousy when she realised Drew was smiling. The girl was pretty and very thin, but in a healthy way. She had a good tone and a melodious voice, and wore a simple flowing dress, but still looked elegant.​

May felt envy filling up inside her when she saw Drew getting up, still smiling, and excused himself. The teenage girl beamed and went off with Drew after nodding her head at May, who managed a false smile.​

She got up and tailed them swiftly, hiding behind the wall and eavesdropping on them as they chattered in a corner.​

"So, how have you been?" The girl started first.​

Drew shrugged. "Fine, so far. Cyal, what about you?"​

The girl, whose name was obviously Cyal, offered another bright grin. "Great! The wedding's prepared, just to let you know. Don't be late, you should know the timing, right?"​

May gasped silently. Wild thoughts raced through her mind. Was this girl called Cyal engaged to Drew? She prayed hard as she tried to listen more.​

"Who's that girl out there, anyway? She's very pretty, your new girlfriend?" Cyal's tone turned teasing and May blushed, biting her lip. She listened hard for Drew's reply.​

He laughed and shooked his head. "She's a contest rival of mine. Actually, ya, she's pretty, but I told you I'd never have a girlfriend, even if I liked her. Her name's May." Drew closed his eyes. "For the wedding, I sacrificed so much, see?"​

May was about to slash out when Cyal spoke. "Ya, I know the rule IS harsh. But you know Dad." She paused and took a deep breath. "Drew, no romance before your sister's wedding! You must blah blah blah blah..." Both Drew and Cyal burst out laughing.​

The eavesdropping girl immediately rushed back to the sofa. She felt as if stones were lifted from her shoulder. However, she thought back and realised Drew sort of hinted to his sister that he liked her. Kind of, anyway. May reassured herself and gave him a real, happy smile when he came back.​

"What's your problem? Caught with the 360 degree attitude change disease?" Drew insulted as he sat down, his hand clutched with May's favourite orange juice. "I got one for you as well."​

May shook her head. "Nah, nothing. And thanks, by the way."​

I supported it at first because it was just a club but as I saw them two in images and such it became awesome to me. Not a very good answer but meh. Yes Drew said in the episode of their final battle that he was gonna take on the Johto Contest Challenge and then in the last episode of Battle Frontier series, May said that she was going to the Johto contests as well.

Why did you originally support Contestshipping?
This one actually seemed the most reasonable to happen especially towards the end of BF with May going to Johto.
