Yea about 25 character and 4 word rule

So I've been geting annoyed alot lately.About 25 character and 4 word rule.Why can't you lower it to 10 if possible?Since I always have to type un-needed word when typing just to post.


I think alot of members might get annoyed alot by this rule.

We're all annoyed by it. However, postcount seems to be some sort of obligation here. Unless postcount goes, those rules are needed to stop morons spamming. (Even though many of them still do spam in Daily Chit-Chat anyway...)

I know we would but why not give it a try.And if that does'nt work out than why not put it back to the normal limit?

Whenever I post I always have to include something else in it.When I post a message I sometimes put (25 character rule) just to not have to type that much.

You shouldn't do that, people will report you for it.

Like I said, one of them has to go - postcount or character limit. Which would you rather it be? ;/

I don't see how it is annoying. Surely, everyone's got to say something important other than "yes" or "sure". We have this to avoid spamming you know. What else? Are you going to complain if we raise it to the 26 character rule and the 5 word rule?

25 characters won't kill you. Besides, it was set up in the first place to discourage spammy posts, albeit not very effective at times. Either way, up until now, there has been no major issues/problems about this. ^_^;

Heh...wow, what an epiphany

See, normally I would say something like "because everyone would post short, spammish posts" or " because everyone would have one word and two word posts."

But when I get down to the thick of it. Who cares? Who cares if people post small? We all know that it would make fun time a lot easier, and it's not like everyone would instantly start posting like that. So we can either deal with 2 word posts in funtime, or we can deal with "......................." and "stupid character limit" in every post...

There's also the "How hard is it to type 25 characters?" bit. In truth, it isn't hard at all. It doesn't take much to add substance to a post, so fill those 25 characters with substance. In my opinion, people are just lazy.

Yeah, that's the opposite argument. I just see plenty of forums that have no Character limit, and they do pretty good. PC isn't a spammy forum, we just have occasional spammy areas.

No, we shouldn't remove post count. That wouldn't do anything but make this place seem incredibly dull. There will always be spam and idiot noobs, with or without post count.

I think the best staff is the staff that interfere's the least. Taking away post count would just make members trust em less. Know what I mean?
