Hey everybody, I have five days before I attend my first tournament in a while, and I've recently realised that my current deck has been destroyed by the banlist (plus somebody who decided to "borrow" some of my cards without telling me).
Either way, I looked through my folders and compiled a deck of staple-ish cards that I already own.

I know it's fairly shoddy, but I'm low on both time and money. So I would greatly appreciate it if I could get some low-budget and easy-to-get suggestions to make it a bit more playable?

    Monsters (23)
    2x Lonefire Blossom
    1x Tytannial, Princess of Camellias
    1x Dark Armed Dragon
    3x Mystic Tomato
    1x Spore
    1x Spirit Reaper
    2x Snipe Hunter
    3x Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
    1x Debris Dragon
    1x Plaguespreader Zombie
    2x Cyber Dragon
1x Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1x Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind
    1x Card Trooper
    1x Effect Veiler
    1x Dandylion
    1x Sangan

    Spells (13)
    1x Dark Hole
    1x Monster Reborn
    1x Book of Moon
    1x Allure of Darkness
1x Charge of the Light Brigade
    1x Foolish Burial
    2x Mystical Space Typhoon
    1x Nobleman of Crossout
    1x Mind Control

    Traps (6)
    1x Mirror Force
    2x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Seven Tools of the Bandit
    1x Dimensional Prison
    1x Torrential Tribute
    1x Solemn Judgment

    And standard extra deck stuff.

    -------------------------------
    So yeah...

I know it's pretty random, and pretty inconsistent, but I think it's fairly decent considering the circumstances.

Rate, recommend and comment please. Remember that I don't have much time or money to get particularly rare or expensive cards, so any cheap and easy-to-get options would be awesome.

    Thanks in advance! :D

do you have any Dandylion? can't go wrong with a Dandy or some GK Spies.

Cut the random D.D. cards; they're not good. The Creature Swap, Gold Sarcophagus, and Fissure should definitely be cut (really random); maybe the Mind Control too, if you don't draw into enough Tuners - otherwise it can stay.

On the topic of additions: Card Trooper is a common from Warrior's Strike. Spirit Reaper is a common from Zombie World (or whatever its name is). You can afford to go to 2 on those. If you have a Dandylion, add it, and add Spore as well - the former is great as a Lonefire target and the latter is a pretty good Tuner (as well as a cheap Common). You probably want that second copy of BTH, as well as possibly a couple Black Horn of Heavens (in the sideboard tentatively or in the main) because you can't afford Solemn Warning.

You should post card numbers so I can see how many cards you have and thus how many you need to cut. > :

COMPLETELY UNRELATED ADDENDUM: My decks are not perfect, so why is no one commenting on theeeeeeeeeem...

Also another addendum, to make sure no one gets confused by that banned guy. Upstart Goblin is only desirable in a deck where you want to play as few cards as possible (to draw into a combo or something like that) - Six Samurai is a prime example. However! In most other decks you would not want to lose out on deck space and you would just want to run Pot of Duality instead. Gold Sarcophagus and Upstart Goblin are inferior choices compared to those, and you don't have to run either if you can't afford PoD.

I have like three or four Dandylions somewhere and a Spore, but would the D.D. cards really be worth replacing? They are pretty useful in removing stuff that I have trouble with otherwise, and make my opponent waste a decent monster or removal card to get rid of it... Although I am kinda low on Tuners. I am going to be getting a Glow-Up Bulb at some point but probably not in the next few days.

I have two Delta Flyers and a Power Giant. Would they be worth including?

Yea, I have another Spirit Reaper somewhere, but only the one Card Trooper unfortuantely. And my Spies were among the "borrowed" cards.

Oh, and I'll add the total card numbers...

No, CotH isn't really that great. If you already have Monster Reborn there's no real point. Debris Dragon is great in this sort of deck at two. I think that the D.D cards really should be removed and possible the random Snipe Hunters, but I like those, so keep them if you want. You want GK Spy really, not Guard, but it's not bad for Synchro removal. That's all for now.

    Whoooooooa there.

D.D. Warrior Lady and D.D. Assailant are excellent tools for STUN decks (because they're silver-bullet-esque single card removals that do what they advertise) but you are not a STUN deck. You are a Synchro deck. You do not therefore need to play random STUN cards in your main deck; Black Rose Dragon is typically the card that solves problems. Two in the Extra Deck and you should be fine.

Snipe Hunter isn't that good; however, you can (if you have enough money) run Fabled Plants, which are pretty good. That's a separate story altogether, though. It IS better than the two random GK Guards you're running; you're not running the triple GK Spy for the obligatory quick Synchro engine, and your Tuner count isn't even that high.

... Okay I'm going to stop commenting now, and just offer cards to cut.

    -2 Gravekeeper's Guard
    -1 D.D. Assailant
    -1 D.D. Warrior Lady
    -1 Thunder King Rai-Oh
    -1 Scapegoat
    -1 Fissure
    -1 Creature Swap
    -1 Gold Sarcophagus
    -1 Mystic Tomato

    +1 Nobleman of Crossout
    +1 Bottomless Trap Hole
    +1 Debris Dragon
    +1 Dandylion

At the absolute least you need to make these changes. The Nobleman of Crossout being an obvious exception; it's just a metagame call I made. I run singletons of Nobleman in half of my decks that I've been making, because it's entirely hilarious when you hit a Ryko and they're like ... "well fk".

Welp, the general consensus seems to be to dump the D.D's so I'll take your word for it... I was originally trying to make a D.D deck but I decided against it as I lacked too many key cards.
    What's a STUN deck? -_-

I'll follow Cirrus' edits for the most part, plus add Spore and maybe Glow-Up if I can get my hands on one (don't like my chances though). Don't have a second Debris right now though, just the one, otherwise it'd already be in there. I've also been advised to add a Lord Poison as it's useful to bring out a Tytannial, Lonefire, Dandy or Tomato so I'll add one in too. I'd like a Chaos Sorceror too as there's a good number of Light and Dark monsters, plus stuff that mills from my deck, and I'm fairly certain I can get one.

Anything else? Would that Power Giant be worth adding, oh wise Yu-Gi-Oh expert-type people?

    Thanks! :)

Lord Poison is horrid. >_<; Chaos Sorcerer is a good add if you have enough LIGHTs; your DARK count is pretty good. Power Giant is super meh (not even as good as Tricky because its level fluctuates really hard; might as well run that third CyDra). You could run another Reaper and Trooper as well (because first turn Reaper + CyDra used to be classic "amazing card advantage"; run over something, make your opponent discard).

STUN decks are Anti-Meta decks. They typically revolve around preventing your opponent's effects from getting off (Monster / Trap ones), preventing Special Summoning, and / or removing everything from play. They also usually pack silver bullet cards to remove single threats that manage to get past their wall of defense; stuff like D.D. Warrior Lady, Smashing Ground, &c.

I was literally ****ed by a STUN deck at my last tourney. Another deck I now hate is the unconventional Deck miller, but built incredibly. It utilised Needle Worm and Morphing Jar, Book of Moon, Eclispe, Taiyou etc. to make you opponent draw and mill their deck into submission. OTK it was.

And, I agree with Cirrus there. There's not much I can add XD

Thanks everybody - I went to the tournament and got fourth, which I thought was pretty good for how hastily my deck was thrown together. :D

I plan to branch back into a more hardcore DARK-plant deck in the future, so no need to keep this thing intact. Pretty much done here, so the thread could be closed now...
