NOTE: I have half of this build already, but I need moar of some stuff. If you actually would like to trade please PM me. :3

    [16] Monsters:
[2] Tytannial, Princess of Camellias (This is kind of obvious. Hard2kill Plant boss monster. Yah.)
[2] Lonefire Blossom (Tytannial = God(ess?) Gigaplant = Jesus Lonefire = Archangel. 'Nuff said.)
[2] Gigaplant (Makes graveyard toolbox and is overall great!)
[3] Botanical Lion (Beater, really good)
    [2] Dandylion (obv.)
[2] Violet Witch (gets out stuff fast)
[1] Twilight Rose Knight (Stalls for key cards and instant synchro)
[1] Rose Tentacles (A tech of mine; it works pretty well actually)
    [1] Sangan (searchs the archangel)

    [15] Spells:
[2] Mark of the Rose (Reaally good support :>)

um first things first... you know cards of safe return is banned in the format right? >< its been banned for quite a while... 3 marks should be played, frag storm and world tree shouldnt be played... um you should play some mystic tomatos too and you forgot call and 2 bottomless :P

It's a traditional deck yo. Don't be hatin.

BTH is what I am using in my other build and I have no others. Call is only good in Infernity.

Rose Tentacles really work here? Skill Drain doesn't work here with Botanical Lion or Gigaplant (but everything else is a-ok), which in turn makes Fragrance Storm and Card of Safe Return not so good. The only time I'm seeing Fragrance Storm work advantageously, really, is when you have field-lock with Gigaplants out. Otherwise it's going to net you a loss in a card (unless you're lucky) and one down on the field.

Consider running Foolish Burial, a third Gigaplant, Ryko(s), etc. Not sure what else to say since I haven't seen it in action :s

Incidentally, I made my friend a deck reminiscent of this build, except I played him with an old-school Burn-Stall Deck, and he didn't have enough negation / destruction to get through my walls. In the end the only thing he could attack with was Botanical Girl lolol

Ah, sorry, my older bro was posting stuff.

This is not a traditional deck, he just added Card of Safe Return for the lolz. :/

I guess Skill Drain isn't that great in this build. Fragrance is better then you think. And the Card Of Safe Return and Skill Drain (put in by my bro :/) were supposed to be 2 Ivy Shackles. It makes Rose Tentacles work. :3

Ivy Shackles and Fragrance Storm are quite funny.

I'd say your deck needs a specific focus though... Perhaps run Koa'ki Meiru Gravirose to dump Dandylion? I mean, it's good. =D

They are NOT funny. This deck has gone 28-10. It's not a great record but it's still pretty good.

Ivy Shackles creates targets for Rose Tentacles and works well with swarm decks. You can easily pull off 900-1200 extra damage if you pull it off correctly.

Fragrance is good as well with Dandylion and other cards. Draw power is always good.

    Debris Dragon and Ryko.

They are very, very good. Debris brings out random awesome 6- and 7-star Dragon monsters. Crippled after Limit of Black Rose Dragon, but still.

Hey I run a Plant deck myself - I attended a tournament today and my record was 4 matches won, 1 lost (that was to a Lightsworn deck). Here is my deck:

1x Tytannial Prince of Camellias (only need the one. it comes back a lot. having too many results in dead draws)
1x Bird of Roses (two instant synchros - I love this thing)
    1x Marshmallon
2x Cherry Inmato (searchable with Bird of Roses - and when they're destroyed, I get to special summon Inmatos)
    3x Inmato
    1x Botanical Lion
    1x Sangan
    2x Gigaplant
    1x Thunder King Rai-Oh
    1x UFO Turtle (searches Lonefire)
2x Lord Poison (awesome when used with Tytannial and Gigaplant)
    1x Dandylion
    1x Mist Valley Soldier
    1x Revival Rose
    2x Lonefire Blossom
    1x Cyber Dragon
    1x Plaguespreader Zombie
1x Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1x Twilight Rose Knight (instant Synchro)
    1x Botanical Girl
1x Spore (effectively another instant synchro)
    SPELLS
1x Foolish Burial (can dump Spore or Dandylion for their effects, or Tytannial to bring back with Miracle Fertiliser)
    1x Heavy Storm
    1x Shrink
1x Allure of Darkness (a great draw engine, since this deck has a lot of DARK plants)
2x Miracle Fertiliser (Awesome with Tytannial)
    1x Mark of the Rose
    1x Scapegoat
    1x MST
    1x Fissure
    TRAPS
    1x Starlight Road (instant Stardust)
    1x Mirror Force
    2x Wall of Thorns
    1x Pollinosis
    1x Dark Bribe
    1x Solemn Judgment
    1x Bottomless Trap Hole
    1x Torrential Tribute
    1x Trap Dustshoot

I suggest ditching Ivy Shackles, Violet Witch and Rose Tentacles in favour of some more useful stuff.

I suggest you run less random things like Mist Valley Soldier and maybe even Gorz. Also a mix of Cherry Inmato x3, Inmato x2 is typically better because you would rather have the former than the latter.

If you play a good deck Tytannial at 2 is never dead. This is apparently not the case here... Typically you would want Tytannial at 2 in case of BTH and friends (D. Prison, Caius, et al). I can't speak for Bird of Roses. Marshmallon is horrible. Thunder King is random. CyDra is meh, but you might as well run it at 2. Dandylion is very good, so run it at 2 as well. Twilight Rose Knight... it's ok, I guess, I just don't like it that much. Botanical Girl... can't fetch anything really really useful, but it's usable. You could probably shave it off for extra space without hurting the deck though.

S/T! One. Why are you playing so many ineffectual singletons? Fissure and Shrink are bad in 1s. Cut them for 2 Book of Moon. Add more Mark of the Rose (note: 2-3, and 3 isn't even that much). Scapegoat is also random - don't play it. If you don't have enough DARKs after changes (read: 7 or more) don't play Allure.

    D. Bribe is bad card advantage. Play Pollinosis over it if you want a hard Counter, because even though it's also technically a -1, you have way more sac outlets (Dandy, tokens, et al.). Dustshoot is an ok card, though I don't like it that much personally as you never really have enough space to play it in a non-anti-Meta deck. You would usually not play Starlight Road in 1s as it's sometimes ineffectual, and run Dust Tornado instead, but it's plausible for some decks to play it. 2 Bottomless should be run at all times.

Just to note: this thread is to review Apple Juice's plant deck, not diablerie's. I'm assuming he's putting the deck up here as a comparison as a "i recommend you run ______" though....ya.....

Buy ya, remember this is a review of Apple Juice's plant deck, if diablerie wants to have his deck reviewed, he would/should make his own thread.

    @AppleJuice

Moar Fragrance Storm <3. All other pieces of advice apply. Rose Tentacles is kinda meh without Black Garden. World Tree is awesome with Fragrance Storm and Ivy Shackles, because it burns when you explode a monster, get a counter, and draw a card.

Yeah, I was only putting my deck there for ideas, not to be rated.

I think having the extra stuff like Gorz, Rai-Oh, Plaguespreader and Mist Valley Soldier works well - or at least it has for me many times in the past. A deck focussed on a specific type doesn't have to completely sitck to that type. Plaguespreader and Mist Valley Soldier are awesome Tuners and in my opinion, Gorz should be in pretty ,much all competitive decks - unless you're running a lot of continous spells or traps, which would render his effect useless. Thunder King Rai-Oh is good for when you just need a beatstick, and when he's out with other cards like Stardust and Queen of Thorns, your opponent really is in deep trouble (I did manage to set that up several times yesterday).
