YGO: Individual Card Discussion

I run this card in my Not CCCC deck. I wish I had another one. Maindeck, this thing searches out my Zaloog, Blade Knight, DDWL, Exiled, and in my side deck, GAF and Swords Woman...and Marauding when I get one. This thing is almost broken.

EDIT: No one's picked a new CotW, so I'll pick one.

When this card is Tribute Summoned successfully, you can destroy up to 2 Magic or Trap cards on the field.

SOD: Super Rare
SD4: Common

Staple in Water. Maindeck or sidedeck at your discretion otherwise, but this should be somewhere in your playing cards. Multiple Magic/Trap destruction that can't be stopped by the common stuff to do so. Curse of Royal can't stop it, neither can Judgment of Anubis. This card is an anti-burn card, and can be an annoying little guy to deal with. The only card that can stop him is Divine Wrath, and that's not a card seen a lot in just any deck.

9/10 advanced.

5/10 traditional. In traditional you don't need to run him because you have Feather Duster.

This is the card of the week. :)
 
I wanted to always pose a question. WHich do most people think is a better card Mobius or Breaker. Each has their strengths and weaknesses and I was wondering which one most people think has more weaknesses.
 
Breaker > Mobius because his effect is free.
 
Here is my review for both of them.

Mobius the Frost Monarch: It's effect allows S/T removal. It has to be tributed for it's efect to activate and it can be chained by cards like Divine Wrath, Ring of Desurction and so on. 2400 atack is good for a level 6 monster can destroy Jinzo and any of the other Monarchs. Also it can destroy Sacered phoenix of Nepthys. So it's atack is respectable. But 1000 defense can make it be destroyed by Tsukuyomi >__> and other cards if it's swtiched to defense mode.

So it's def is not that reliable. Either way it is useful in many way. Even though it effect requires a tribute. Hey! Breaker requires a normal summon.

So my review

New avdenced 3.6/5(After the ban list on October 1st)

It's one of the best Monarchs out there.

Breaker the Magical Warrior: This card is closer to a staple than Molbius. It HAS to be normal summoned for it's efect to activate. And (Max.1) is not that well. It has many combos like for example with Pitch Blask Stone or Apperentice Magican giving it a spell counter each time. Breaker is one of the best cards to have in the early game. 1900 is a respectable atk in the early game. And 1600 can still make it stand in battle. It can tie with Blade Knight and destroy other monsters.1000 defense. Just like I said about Mobius. Also it's dark so it useful as a tribute for Black-Luster-Soldier Envoy the Beginning, Chaos- Emepror-Dragon Envoy the End and Chaos Sorcerer. Breaker is like Mobius. It can be chained.

Overall. It's useful in just about any deck. So give it a try.^__^

UGH, Breaker!! I HATE that lousy card!! Like Mizu-Kun pointed out, it can only handle 1 Spell Counter and only when NORMAL summoned, so it only comes by once in a duel. Sure, you can use cards to give it more counters, but most people don't even run the cards they would need. So, also, with all the cards for special-summoning out there (Cyber Jar, Premature Burial, Call of the Haunted, etc.), it's useless. I'd rather use a card like Magical Marionette...That should be the question: which would you prefer, Magical Marionette or Breaker? Marionette may require a tribute and need 2 counters to use its effect, but at least it has more decent base ATK, gets a nice power boost with each counter (which are LIMITLESS), AND can destroy monsters, which are usually more important to get rid of.

lol, so true. Magical Marionette is better than Breaker in traditional than Breaker because of many reasons. And the Butterfy Dagger Elna combo with Greadfreid. Endeless counters. But Marioante is better than Breaker. I agree.

Anyone who uses combo's like that... i think... need to be kicked. I know it's a technically legal move... but it shows that players lack of skill... it's like playing Halo with Godmode on... >.> or doom with god and unlimited ammo...
Me personally... i run a "Where the Heck did your deck go?" thing... an i'm waitin to pull a needle worm... it'll happen!

Problem with YGO with deck destruction strategy is that it's almost impossible to do... YGO games go a bit too fast, and there's not so many cards with good drawing power unlike all the other card games. The opponent will never draw that much...

And let's not forget how NoC is in every deck... poor little overpriced worm...

He's pretty inexpensive in Dark Beginning 2. I have three Needle Worms from DB2. And 2 morphing jars. Easy to get.

The new list kills deck destruction and a lot of other decks, because the same cards that made goat control what it is also make deck destruction playable. With Tsuku and Book possibly being limited to one anyway...we lost it. DD is fun to play but is hard to pull off. Crossout kills it every time unless you run Cursed Seal.

I see the new ban list focous on Hand Avdtange and Field Control.
But Nonthing in the Graveyard? See my point?
 
Bah... I run it decently... I do have a few kinks to work out... but over all, it's cleaned house with my friends... and they're runnin dang good decks too. Mirage knights, ArchFiends... pure beatdowns... Its not solely a DD deck... it's got a bit of kick to it... But when i go pure DD i do it. Of all my duels with it, 10/15 for total deck outs.
 
I still firmly believes that unless the asia ban list is different than the one in North America, let the zombie deck as the new replacement of BLS/Goat. V-Lord actually got unrestricted? Like... let's destroy goat control and BLS, 2 of the most common decks out there. On the other hand, let's encourage the 3rd most common decks instead!

C'mon, let's just have fun and play Dark Magician decks =3

If you ask me I think Nepthys is thrid;. It's more played. V Lord is tied with Gravekeepers for 4th from what I see. And doe'snt this seem offtopic? This is card of the week.

It's a new version of Raigeki, just like how Change of Heart got brain control and blahblahblah. ^____^;

But definitely not a stable unlike its counter part... Because face up cards are sometimes not as scary (or even close to half as annoying) as the face down. Lightning Vortex may see more or less play completely depending on how well the common "swarm the field" decks are doing. The more popular they are, the more useful lightning vortex becomes.
 
Night Assailant being retristed and Sinister Seprent being banned. This card may lose playabilty. Some times Lightning Vortex is worth it sometimes it not. It's a -1 card. It requires a discard cost and only destroy face up. And with playabilty of Vampire Lord(which may be limited to 3) and Sacred Phoenix of Nepthys. This card does not bring much of a avdtange. But either way, Lightning Vortex. Guarantee monster removal.
So overall. And that is always good.

Traditional: 2.8/5(There is Raigeki,Dark Hole and other cards which gives you more of avdtange)

Avdenced:4.0/5

New Avdenced:4.2/5
