There is no exception. Triple Debris Dragon is mandatory for the instant Black Rose / Stardust / Whatever. Ryko for level 2 Debris fodder and you have quite a lot of the deck. Caius for token abuse and that is about 8-9 slots locked down... the rest is, as we say, history.
+3 Debris Dragon
+3 Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
+3 Caius the Shadow Monarch
+1 Lonefire Blossom
+1 Sangan
+1 Card Trooper
+1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
+1 Glow-Up Bulb
+1 Super-Nimble Mega Hamster
+1 Effect Veiler
-2 Cursed Fig
-1 Dark Verger
-3 Evil Thorn
-1 Gigaplant
-1 Rose Fairy
-2 Botanical Lion
-2 Horseytail
-1 Inmato
-2 Botanical Girl
-1 Lord Poison
-1 Rafflesia Seduction
-2 Nettles
-1 Rose Tentacles
This monster lineup is quite a bit more dynamic. Debris Dragon is your one-card Synchro, and Dandylion tokens into Caius play your simplification game. There is actually no point in playing straight-up full Plant-type Synchro, because things like Caius and Ryko are just better for the deck.
Cut everything from your Spells and Traps.
+3 Book of Moon
+2 Pot of Duality (or +1 Mark of the Rose and +1 Mind Control if you cannot afford it)
+2 Pot of Avarice
+1 Dark Hole
+1 Monster Reborn
+1 Cold Wave
+1 Foolish Burial
+2 Solemn Warning
+2 Bottomless Trap Hole (or +1 Call of the Haunted and +1 Trap Hole... it honestly depends on your preference, and Plant Synchro is quite prevalent - BTH sucks against Plant Synchro)
+1 Mirror Force
+1 Torrential Tribute
+1 Solemn Judgment
+1 Seven Tools of the Bandit
Optional: If you have a slot leftover (or two), you can consider these:
+1 Call of the Haunted (if taking the +2 BTH choice)
+1 Mind Crush (if taking the +1 CotH and +1 Trap Hole choice)
+1 Mind Control (if taking the +2 PoD choice)
+1 Gold Sarcophagus (if taking the +1 Mind Control +1 Mark of the Rose choice)
