[YGO] X-Sabers

Since i was encouraged by you guys,heres my x-saber build.
This deck somewhat owned my friend's awesome GB deck. went 2-0 (almost lost to the second duek)
Never lost to this one.
I made and tested it yesterday

Right, I have a few issues with what cards you have. Don't get me wrong its an incredibly competent deck, but you should make a couple of changes to make it even better. Add in the third Ryko, I suggest cutting the Ragigura to the side. Get rid of the Swords, and main deck CotLB. Cut the random Enemy Controller and the Smashing Ground and replace with the two Solemn Warning and also remove PoA and put in a second Bottomless. Your extra deck needs two Stardust, always! Take out a Mist Wurm for it, because you won't synch for Mist Wurm that often. Only go two Hyunlei I'd say and include at least 1 Black Rose Dragon. In my opinion you should replace Mist Wurm with a Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, much more disastrous. That's it for now, I'd say more if my laptop weren't about to run out of battery XD I'll take a look later as well.

Yeah, i rarely used swords there..
But,i dont want to remove enemy controller, EC + Fulhelm = awesome
i dont have any other ryko,I'll try to get one asap,can i just use ehren for the replacement?
plus, i dont like the idea of cutting ragi, Ragi helps alot with the gottoms loop plus helps me bring back milled faultrolls which is the same with PoA,I might change my mind though.
I'll have another BTH and CoTL and 2 Solemn W.
How about putting a giant rat,cyber dragon and tragoedia?

Here's my opinion:

-2 airbellum (their usefulness at 3 depleted when rescue cat got banned which is why u use 3 fulhelm)
-1 ragi (it's an alright card in my opinion but not as good since cat got banned plus the gottoms/faultroll/ragi combo is hard to pull off so I wouldn't aim to do it, personal choice this one is)
-2 ryko's (bit pointless as there is nothing really you want milled unless for just the names in the graveyard for faultroll and g e call)
+2 mst (very important this format as traps are taking over and heavy storm is gone)
-1 swords (meh)
+1 book of moon (it's still a fantastic card even when it has been limited)
-1 my body ( not needed - put in side deck tho definitely)
+2 pot of duality (expensive but great, gold sarco is an okayish replacement for it if you can't afford them)
-1 pot of avarice, you don't really want them back in the deck once they're out
-1 smashing ground
-1 enemy controller
+1 forbidden lance
-2 sabre hole
+2 solemn warning
+2 seven tools of the bandit
-1 bth
+1 reinforce truth
-1 hyunlei
-2 urbellum
-1 gottoms
+1 scrap dragon
-2 mist Wurm

I don't know how many cards that would leave you with but if you use them like this u will go far,after 2 years playing sabers I should know. =)

Right, now then, EC really isn't needed in this deck, awesome it may be, but it takes up space for more essential stuff (eg CotLB). Ryko is really rather cheap if you were to buy it, and if you're using a replacement for Ryko have Lyla, she's better. Ragi helps with the Gottoms Loop but otherwise does almost nothing. If you don't have it at the right time then its useless, unless you're desparate for defence (which shouldn't happen in this deck). Pot of Avarice also isn't needed much, since X-Sabers do special summon from your Graveyard somewhat often (well, they do for me!). Definitely make sure that the BTH, CotLB and the two Solemn W get in the main deck though.
One last thing, while running three Ryko, having 1 Super-Nimble Mega Hamster is also recommended, to ensure that a Ryko arrives should you not draw one before hand. They're not that hard to get as well.

Ryko's are terrible in x-sabers as there is nothing you want to mill but u should use hamster to set your darksouls.

2 trap stun stun and 7 tools slowed me down, so i reduced them to 1
i want my swords back, i had 3 duels with a nearly dead draw on the first turn (trap stuns and 7 tools)
i also want my ragi back,i even tried it(forbidden lance removed) and it did great,Had the gottoms loop in the 3rd turn and won next turn.


well for my monsters,how about sangan? and another hamster?i prefer cyber dragon than gorz;help me with an almost otk.

Suggestions?help?

Right, monster-wise, it looks pretty good. I would suggest cutting the CyDra for a third Boggartknight, because Boggart is a great beater, plus a special summon just by normal Summoning is pretty epic. I would also recommend dropping the Airbellum for Gorz, as Gorz is a life saver in tight situations. That's all really.

Right, three PoD is waaaaaay too many. Two seems just right. Replace it with another Forbidden Lance, since one is rather inconsistent. I don't think Enemy Controller is really necessary, but I can't think of anything better to fill that space with (yet). Just keep ready to switch out.

Drop the Trap Stun. Its not great, as I've found out, and two 7 tools is better than 1 of each. Everything else is fine. Hmm, how about dropping one Enemy Controller for a third GEC?

Eww, two trisha and three level nines is a bad idea. Drop 1 trisha for a Colossal Fighter. That would be all there for now. I have a couple of side deck recommendations as well.

You should put the CyDra and the EC in there, and perhaps the stun as well. Anything else you can decide, I just suggest stuff I'd told you to cut and before I forget, put in ragigura perhaps as well. What do you think?

If you're using Gold Sarc then drop the PoD. You should choose either or, not have both, it won't work. 3 PoD is too many anyway, you should definitely drop one of them. It'll turn out to be a dead draw for you later on. Don't drop Forbidden Lance for Saber Hole. Seriously, it would appear you haven't realised the worth of Forbidden Lance yet XD You need two, and so, dropping one PoD for another one is fine. PoD stops you special summoning, which is a big bother for this deck, so having three is just, well, don't. Why are you dropping to one GEC?!? Its insanely good! All you need is an X-Saber and you get two free! Why is two a dead draw? Set both and get four free special summons! Doesn't sound bad to me. Trap Stun, as Cirrus said a while back, and as I frequently found out, isn't as good as you may think, especially when it would stop you using GEC for a turn. Drop it for the second 7 Tools. You need protection from traps, especially in this meta.

EDIT: Dropping 1 EC for a BoM is a great idea, follow it through!

I'm looking to get a room for effect veiler.I cant put another gorz in this deck,for i only have 1 which is on my other deck)How about Swords, and enemy controller?and saber slash? And how about putting in another forbdden lance?I FINNALY got it working great!and how about RotA?

Right, well then...

Gorz can be swapped out of your other deck no? So just put him the list instead of CyDra for clarity. Drop Fader and add a second Forbidden Lance instead, and also, drop the reinforce truth for a Reinforcement of the Army. RT isn't necessary, and when you run out of Pashuul, you use Faultroll. You do run out of cards though sometimes, or never draw the ones you need, but you need to know your deck can still work in those cases. E.g. when I draw nothing but gadgets in Machina, or get stopped by a Thunder King Rai-Oh. Fader doesn't fit or provide synergy for the deck, however Effect Veiler is somewhat feasible so I would consider dropping Saber Hole for it. You have Solemn Warning, so why do you need SH? They both do almost the same job, but SW can also stop special summoning effects too. Side deck SH in case you need monster removal really badly, but in this case, don't main deck it.

Glad you understand FLs awesomeness as well ;) It is brilliant if you use it right.
