    When a Pokemon is Sleep, and has critical Hp, left and it breaks out of a ultra ball on the first spin!

    What grinds your gears? >/
     
    When I'm just about to catch a Pokemon and I use one more attack to make it easier to catch... and the attack criticals. Always seems to KO what I'm trying to catch.
     
    When I'm trying to catch a Pokemon and it Self Destructs.
    Or during the Safari zone, we all get frustrated there.
     
    That just happened to me, I was trying to catch Groudon. At first i used water pulse and it took it's life to more than half, then i did it again, and it KO'ed it
     
    (Just Happend) Trying to catch a Murkrow and waste $30,000 in Pokeballs, just to catch it and have the worst nature ever. That is what grinds my gears.
     
    When my Pokemon is confused and I pray that it attacks the opponent and it hits itself...every friggin time...

    Mines is almost like this, when a pokemon Self Destructs and kills the Pokemon I'm trying to train, which means it doesn't get any EXP. I always find myself shouting at the DS: "YOU JUST WASTED MY EXP!! YOU LITTLE BISH!!" xD

    That's what grinds my gears lol
     
    It grinds my gears when people use family guy episodes and they don't give out due credit to the almighty Seth MacFarlane. cough cough

    Because the phrase "Grind my gears" wasn't created until family guy came out...right...
     
    Hax luck in the Battle Tower/Frontier.
    Safari Zone escapes.
    When Pokemon won't stay in the Pokeball.
    High level wild Golbat used Mean Look+Confuse Ray.
    Random critical hit finishes off a Pokemon I was trying to capture.
     
    In PMD:EOS when a Nidoqueen/king that's like 5 steps away from me uses earth power repeatedly which eventually knocks me out before I get a chance to move or attack.

    When I'm fighting Aaron's Vespiquen in Platinum.

    The time when I encountered a shiny Hariyama in Sapphire and it blew me away with whirlwind.

    When I break a long win streak in the battle frontier.
     
    What Grinds my gears is that I had just at last decided on what my HG team would be, Totodile, Growlith, Phanphy, Mareep, Gligar and Bidoof(HM Slave), and then remembering that Gligar despite been a flying type can't use fly, WTH? I was really looking forward to using Gligar but now I can't and I have to try and find another good flying type, which will most likely be impossible, as most of them suck.
     
    Trying to catch Latias in Sapphire was the WORST experience of my life. Six months of working hours every day, because I had whittled her down to 1 HP, and she refused to go into an ultra ball! And then, my little sister decideds she wants to fiddle with my game, and erasing it in the process!

    The phrase was about before yes, but since it was posted the day the grind my gears episode was on television I'm sure you didn't just think of it randomly by yourself.

    Well your certainty is false, it came to my mind so i posted it, not sure if family guy has anything related to what makes you mad about pokemon though.
     
    Golbats. Confuse Ray, Mean Looks, Poison Fang and criticals from Air Slash. *smashes DS on floor in frustration*
