    Hi, I thought I would create this thread in intrest. I was just wondering what hosting site you buy from, for what price etc.

    So if you have a site and you have a bought host please post the site that provides it you, the price of the package (per mounth/per year), the amount of webspace, and the amount of bandwidth.

    In the future I will be buying a host, or I may even start my own business. I would just like to see what you guys pay for what basically. I know there are some advanced webmasters here so this would help.

    Please only post the host etc you have, if you actually have a site hosted by them.

    Thanks,
    BlueEew.

    Okay, Thanks anyway. ;)

    Would anyone be intrested in paying for a package like this;

    £10 (pounds)/$18 (USD), (per month)
    For,
    40Gb webspace,
    Unmetered Bandwidth,
    FTP Access,
    99.9% Connectivity, (only 00.01% down per year)
    SSI - server-side includes,
    PHP,
    Perl CGI,
    MySQL,
    POP3 mailboxes,
    Email forwarders,
    Web mail,
    Anti virus protection,
    Sub-domains,
    Free 24/hour support,

    BTW, I am not trying to sell this. I have created the package for a future business and would like comments etc.

    Also please note; all of these prices etc may not be final.

    This package is for the more experenced webmaster who wants to run a large website or business.

    40Gb webspace?
    Unmetered Bandwidth?

    With those packages you could be accused of overselling.
    A valuable thing I live by is "there is no such thing as Unmetered Bandwidth". I would set a limit.

    I have GoDaddy hosting (and also domain hosting from there), but I've only had it for a couple months. They've been great so far, though. The other day they called to make sure I had their tech support number. I'm happy with them.

    I use EvilHosting (evilhosting.org) with 1&1 for Domain Name (5.95 a year for Domains)

    EvilHosting: (free w/ no Ads)
    [This is what their website says:]
    (You do have to have a domain name)
    CGI, PHP, PERL, etc.
    100MB Space.
    1 GB of Bandwidth.
    5 MySQL Databases.
    Lots More (evilhosting.org/index.php?page=services)

    My site is tagging along with my dad's company's website on a dedicated server on some server farm in London.

    Well I know that alot of other websites give less then they actually could, I am not too sure about the bandwidth amount yet, but my packages are going to be good and cheap, unlike usually when its cheap and crap, and expensive and good.

    I am using that at the moment, but I will not be for long. ;)

    Anyway, I have made some more packages;

    Package 1,

    Webspace 40GB,
    Bandwidth 1000GB,
    Price £10.00/$18.00 per month.

    Okay this still may not be final, but here is a better package. The closest package I can put up against this is;

    www.site5.com,
    Diamond package,
    Webspace 27GB,
    Bandwidth 750GB,
    Prices $18.97.

    Any suggestions? ( for mine)
