2nd Gen Your Most Favorite and Memorable Cities/Towns in R/B/Y and G/S/C?

Lavender town music by far. I remember it gave me nightmares as little kid. Now it's just nostalgic for me lol. Plus all the rumours and creepy pasta it started, Lavender town was the most rememberable for me.

The most memorable cities in Generation I for me would be Viridian City (for trying to figure out how to get into the Gym there) and Cerulean City (for being stuck there after jumping off the ledge trap west of there on Route 4).
As for Generation II, Goldenrod City (for its music cue and all the things that were there) and Mahogany Town (for the transmitter that turned Gyarados red in the lake north of there).

Definitely the town in G/S/C with the Burned Tower. I would remember what it's called but my mind is on shutdown at the mo'. I only like it because I caught my Magmar there, my favourite Pokemon.

In the first games, I really enjoyed Cinnabar Island for some reason. In GSC, Cherrygrove had a very appealing, quaint feel to it.

Not sure about favorite, but the most memorable place for me is, you guessed it, Lavender Town. I was really young when I played Yellow, so the music naturally freaked me out. I remember turning down the volume every time I had to pass by, lol. Additionally, the dead Marowak made me sad.

In R/B/Y my favourite town would be Lavender Town. This is due to the fact it is all creepy, the music is really cool and it holds host to ghost Pokemon, which is my favourite type.

In G/S/C it would have to be Goldenrod City. I don't know why but I just enjoyed exploring the city and there is a fair bit to do.

I'm always a sucker for the big metropolises - in life as well as Pokemon, so Saffron City in Kanto and Goldenrod City in Johto get my votes. They were always bustling with activity (relatively speaking), had a lot to do with the main plot of the games what with Silph Co and the Radio Tower being big Team Rocket missions, and were just generally cool to walk or cycle around.

I always liked Cinnabar (cinnabon?!) in RBY. The Mansion there lol...I thought Mewtwo was actually wandering through it as I explored, so that place was always scary for me. Though I did scream when I first found a ghost in Pokemon Tower.

In GSC, Ecruteak. No if's, and's, or but's about it. Great music, great plot advancements, great history, awesome gym leader, and it becomes a central hub more than Goldenrod does imo.

I loved the Mt Moon in GSC because of the dancing Clefairies.

In RBY my favourite place was probably Celadon because of the shops and the casino.

For emotion, I loved Pokemon Tower and the Safari zone - I remember the first time I went into the Safari zone while eating chocolate dessert.

In RBY that'd probably be Celadon city as my favourite. I can remember visiting that place the most and just liking it. And memorable ones are probably Vermillion city and Pallet town, loved both of those too.

In GSC that'd definitely be Azalea town and Violet city. I loved the layout of both and the Slowpokes in Azalea were my favourite thing ever hahaha.

I like big cities and such, so Celadon and Goldenrod are certainly two of my favourites. I like how there's a good amount of things to do in either one, and they're both bustling with life.

I also like Ecruteak for its history and the song that plays there. It just feels very calming.

The ones that stick out for me are the big towns - Celadon in Kanto and Goldenrod in Johto. There was something soothing and magical about exploring Goldenrod at night, with all the buildings lit up and that relaxing music playing in the background... something that they couldn't reproduce in the remakes.

Post-game Goldenrod pretty much served as my base of operations. With the Department Store and Daycare center close at hand, it was a convenient spot to take care of breeding and such, and then just return to the Pokemon Center to save at the end of the day. It really became my second home in Silver and Crystal.

R/B/Y had to be Lavender, it seriously will never leave my memory, I woudn't say its my favourite.... just most memorable! >.<
In G/S/C however, It has to be Violet city. Sprout tower was cool, used only Totodile to get through it (went to the Pokecentre after every battle lol) I was young so I was ignorant with potions/marts! :P

My favourite and most memorable in both gens would have to be Goldenrod City. Just thinking about it fills me with so much calmness and contentedness. n_n; I really love the music, the size of it is big enough to explore, there's plenty to do, and it's just... perfect.

Don't remember R/B/Y's, however.

For Gold/Crystal, it'd be Bugsy's Town, Goldenrod City, Eruteak City, Olivine City, Mahogany Cit--okay, literally every city in Gold/Crystal was my favourite. Johto was originally my favourite, so it makes sense :(

SO I GUESS IF I HAVE TO PICK FOR R/B/Y imma say Saffron because it appeared in a dream once and I thought it was real and Dragonites and idk.

My favorite city in R/B/Y was Celadon, and my favorite in G/S/C was Goldenrod. I always found that they had the most to do in them, so I found myself always going back. An honorable mention goes to Vermilion City, as I remember always going back as a kid to see if the guy ever finished building whatever it was he was working on, and I was annoyed when still nothing happened by the 2nd gen.

Mine had to be Golden Rod, I don't know why it just seemed relaxing to be in that town adn there was quite a bit to do.
I spent alot of time at Olivine City, I always loved to be around water. I remember when I was little, when I was down at my lakeside cabin. I would sit on the dock, throw out a few lines, tie the rods down to the dock, and while I was waiting for something to bite, I would pull out Silver version and fish in Olivine City xD

I loved Lavender Town because of the music and interesting story around the town. Celadon and Goldenrod city I also like because they're big and are fun to explore.

R/B/Y: I don't really have a favorite city for the color games, they're all great.

G/S/C: Ecruteak, the basis of Legends in the Johto Region. Such a soothing place.

I absolutely love me some Lavender Town. The music is just amazing and it really gives off a creepy vibe, which is hard to find in Pokemon. As for Johto I like Mahogany Town, just like the look of it :I.
