Well if you're using AR go with a Typhlosion with Heat Wave, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, and Hidden Power Water over Ho-oh or Blaziken IMO. This beast owns as long as it's Modest with 252 Special Attack EV's and 252 Spd EV's.

Just a fun team on a restart of my emerald rom. I know it's not very balanced. Lol.

Training up to challenge the elite 4 right now.

Lv42 Ninjask @ nothing

Sassy Nature

- Slash
- Cut (Sadly)
- Swords Dance
- Aerial Ace

Sadly hidden power turned out to be some bad fire move or something for Ninjask. And I don't like breeding. <_<

Lv42 Skarmory @ King's Rock

Sassy Nature

- Fly
- Steel Wing
- Spikes
- Swift (Replacing with Roar in a bit.)

Absol @ Lax Incense

Brave Nature

- Facade
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Ball
- Future Sight (Temporary)

Lv43 Huntail @ Smoke Ball

Hardy Nature (Blah)

- Surf
- Crunch
- Hidden Power [Poison]
- Iron Defense

I know Huntail isn't that great, I just like him though. The hidden power actually does a decent amount of damage. I EV trained him with some special attack as well, so his special attack is pretty average as well.

Lv44 Blaziken @ Quick Claw (Taking it off and giving it to Huntail most likely)

Jolly Nature

- Slash
- Double Kick
- Bulk Up
- Blaze Kick

Didn't feed it TMs as of yet. Going to teach it brick break and maybe Flamethrower if I feel like buying coins or Fire Blast.

Lv44 Gardevoir @ None

Modest Nature (Yay.)

- Psychic
- Calm Mind
- Future Sight (Replacing with Ice Punch before I challenge)
- Thunderbolt

Since I got pokerus, I mass EV trained Gardy's special attack. So it's pretty nice. xD

Seeing as I just restarted Emerald, I really don't have very good guys. And btw, I don't EV train.

Shelgon lvl 44 @ Lucky Egg
Quirky EV's - HP 126 Atk 102 Def 107
Ember
Bite
Headbutt
Dragon Claw

Flygon lvl 45 @ Lucky Egg
Serious EV's HP 143 Atk 112 Spd 108
Dragonbreath
Crunch
Earthquake
Fly

Shiny Blaziken lvl 43 @ Lucky Egg
Naive EV's - HP 131 Atk 116 Sp. Atk 109
Slash
Peck
Double Kick
Blaze Kick

Milotic lvl 45 @ Blue Scarf
Impish EV's - HP 146 Sp Atk 99 Sp. Def 122
Surf
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Safeguard

So far I have 7 badges. Any suggestions on EV's or moves is appreciated.

Haha.
I'm guessing you used gameshark or just traded over feebas/bagon/lucky eggs.

Why are you asking for EV sets if you don't EV train? But oh well I'll help anyway. Changes below in BOLD, attacks in brackets are only available after beating the game, at Battle Frontier. BTW, if you meant you use a Pokemon maker (when you said you dont EV train), I have some really fun battle and contest movesets for lots of Pokemon.
Seeing as I just restarted Emerald, I really don't have very good guys. And btw, I don't EV train.

Shelgon lvl 44 @ Lucky Egg
Adamant EV's - HP 2 Atk 252 Spd 252
Aerial Ace
(Rock Slide)/Dragon Claw
(Double-Edge)/Fire Blast
Earthquake
This is just one of many Salamence sets, as Salamence has the same variability as Dragonite, but trades some Defence for Speed. Fire Blast and Dragon Claw are only recommended until you beat the Elite Four.

Flygon lvl 45 @ Lucky Egg
Adamant EV's HP 4 Atk 252 Spd 252
Dragonbreath
(Rock Slide)/Rock Tomb
Earthquake
Fly/HP Flying(if you're bothered)
Two dragon Pokemon with 4x weakness to ice is not a good thing, but at least Blaziken is a partial counter to that.

Before I start, there are two routes you can go with Blaziken so I will list both.

Shiny Blaziken lvl 43 @ Lucky Egg
Jolly EV's - HP 4 Atk 252 Spd 252
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Brick Break
Focus Punch
Only available after Elite Four

Shiny Blaziken lvl 43 @ Lucky Egg
Hasty EV's - HP 56 Atk 100 S.Atk 152 Spd 200
Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Sky Uppercut
Fire Blast
Better all rounder Blaziken

Milotic lvl 45 @ Blue Scarf
Bold EV's - HP 212 Def 138 Spd 16 Sp Atk 144
Surf
Recover/Refresh
Ice Beam
Toxic/Hypnosis
One of the best tanks ever.

So far I have 7 badges. Any suggestions on EV's or moves is appreciated.

When I said I don't EV train, I mean't that I hadn't EV trained with that team.

And about the lucky eggs/feebas/bagon, I got them in trades, no gameshark or action replay used.

All right, I misunderstood what you meant. Anyway, cheating for something like a Celebi/Mew/Deoxys/other GSC Pokemon is acceptable in my opinion because the only way for some of those is Nintendo events that happened like three years ago. Also, it is not that big a deal because it is up to the person playing whether they want to cheat or not.

My Emerald Team:

Raphiel the Umbreon, lv 89
Yonder the Espeon, lv 98
Rei the Swellow, lv 100
Patty the Hariyama, 79
Jack the Swampert, lv 100
Wattz the Magneton, lv 100

i suggest following team:
Rhydon
Blastoise
Mewtwo
Moltres
Zapdos
Articuno

Rhydon: lvl 80-100
Earthquake
Ice Beam
ThunderBolt
Flamethrower

Give to Rhydon Calciums and get Rhydon have Lonely/Quiet Nature

Blastoise: lvl 80-100
Ice Beam
Surf
Body Slam
Hydro Pump

Use Full Restores in need of healing, kills anybody quikly.

Mewtwo: lvl 70-100!!!
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Psychic
Shadow Ball

Kills quickly and Shadow Ball is useful sometimes at lowering Sp. Defense giving power to other moves.

Moltres: lvl 56-100
Flamethrower
Fire Blast
Overheat
Fly

Use only in Grass/Steel/fighting types. Otherwise, give up.

Zapdos: lvl 60-100
Thunderbolt
Thunder
Fly
Drill Peck

Give Leftovers, Thunderbolt to paralyse, take 1/4 HP, and finish with Thunder. Fighting type enemy, Fly and Drill Peck damage is crucial with zapdos

Articuno
Fly
Ice Beam
Blizzard
Steel Wing

Steel wing until Defense lowers a bit, the finish with Ice Beam or Fly. Tactic2: Ice Beam to freeze, then Blizzard as finishing strike. Hold items: Leftovers/Nevermeltice
-----------------------------------------------------------------

ruby team

Rayquaza lv.100
Blaziken lv.100
Raikou lv.95
Suicune lv.91

i have some other 100's and high 80's and others in my box but i dont usually have them in my team

Venusaur @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Sludge Bomb
- Razor Leaf
- Sleep Powder
- Leech Seed

Nidoking @ Choice Band
Trait: Poison Point
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Sludge Bomb
- Earthquake
- Megahorn
- Shadow Ball

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Wish
- Toxic/Haze/Substitute

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Double-Edge
- Shadow Ball
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Haunter @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Hypnosis

Ninetales @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Substitute
- Will-o-Wisp
- Faint Attack

I'm planning on using that team. Does anybody have suggestions? I've only just gotten my sassy Bulbasaur, so feel free to change anything, including the pokemon. I can't get any trade only pokemon like Alakazam or Gengar(hence the Haunter).

First off, don't put two attacking moves of the same type on a Poke (i.e. Blast Burn and Flamethrower on Charizard). It is redundant and prevents your Poke from being more effective.

Also, never use the crappy two-turn moves like Fly or the craptacular Blast Burn. You can do more damage with a move that you can attack twice in two turns (i.e. Aerial Ace or Flamethrower) than you can with a move that you can only attack once in two turns.

As for your team, fixes and suggestions in bold:
My Team
Charizard lvl63 @ Leftovers / Salac Berry
Trait: Blaze
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Aerial Ace
- Swords Dance

- Flamethrower
- Earthquake

I wouldn't use Charizard (or Fire-types in general) as they are too weak defensively to be truly useful, but it is your team. With its speed, I would make Charizard more of a physical attacker, abusing Swords Dance. A STAB Flamethrower can come in handy on occasion too. Still not enough to require a Fire-type though.

Metagross lvl 63 @ Choice Band / Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Explosion / Agility
- Shadow Ball

- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake

You had it half right. Metagross doesn't need Psychic since a STAB Meteor Mash can deal enough damage, allowing you to replace it with another physical attack. Explosion or Agility is your preference. A fast Metagross ruins Pokes, but Explosion can take out any Poke in the game, giving it a going away present when its HP is low. Shadow Ball is mainly for a strong physical attack. Sludge Bomb or Rock Slide can also be used.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Aromatherapy / Thunder Wave
- Ice Beam
- Seismic Toss
- Softboiled

Since you are still training it, I would go ahead and breed a new one that has Aromatherapy. If you are a novice trainer that uses items during battles with the AI, I guess you could use Thunder Wave instead. Ice Beam and Seismic Toss allow it to do damage to all Pokes. Its job is to withstand special hits. Not as effective against the pathetic AI that has no strategy to speak of, but at least you are utilizing it correctly.

Blastoise @ Leftovers / Chesto Berry
Trait: Torrent
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Counter
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Rest

Since you already have Counter, Protect isn't needed. I would suggest Rest instead. It allows Blastoise to remove status ailments and fully heal its HP. Plus, if you don't like the two turn sleep (or don't use Blissey with Aromatherapy), you can have it hold Chesto Berry to use Rest free once.

Sceptile lvl 82 @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Leech Seed / Dragon Claw
- Substitute
- Thunderpunch / Dragon Claw

- Leaf Blade

With its limited moveset, Sceptile isn't that great of an in-game Poke. I would breed for Leech Seed and if you have Emerald, I would teach it Thunderpunch to cover its big weaknesses. Leech Seed and Leftovers makes use of Substitute practically free, allowing you a nice staller and then a Poke with good base SAtk to hit things with Thunderpunch or the best Grass move in the game. No, that isn't Solarbeam. Get rid of that monstrosity IMMEDIATELY. Also, don't use Normal moves on non-Normal Pokes. They get no benefit from them whatsoever.

can you give me any suggestions??
Were you going to only use 5 Pokes and then include an HM whore/Pickup Poke? I would suggest that. Personally, I would take out Charizard and add Dragonite or Dodrio for another good physical attacker.

Fixes and suggestions in bold:
i suggest following team:
Rhydon
Blastoise
Mewtwo
Moltres
Zapdos
Articuno

Why do you feel the need to include FOUR Legendaries on a team? If you are battling against others that use them I can understand, but against the pathetically weak AI, it just isn't necessary.

Rhydon: lvl 80-100 @ Leftovers
Trait: Lightning Rod
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)

- Earthquake
- Focus Punch / Swords Dance
- Rock Slide / Rock Blast
- Substitute

Give to Rhydon Calciums and get Rhydon have Lonely/Quiet Nature

No. Just no. Why would you put special attacks on Rhydon? Its base SAtk is a pathetic 45, while its base Atk is one of the best in the game at 130! For example, attacking a Blastoise with a "Super Effective" Thunderbolt will do max damage of a laughable 28%. Now, attacking that same Blastoise with a STAB Earthquake does 54% max damage, or almost double. Add another STAB attack with Rock Slide or Rock Blast and you have a much happier Rhydon. Substitute protects it against its weaknesses and Focus Punch or Swords Dance is your preference.

Blastoise: lvl 80-100 @ Leftovers / Chesto Berry
Trait: Torrent
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Counter
- Rest

Use Full Restores in need of healing, kills anybody quikly.

Rest heals it without needed to resort to using items during battles (unless you are one who does). Using two attacking moves of the same type is pointless. Since Blastoise has a good base SAtk, go with the more consistent Surf. Chesto Berry allows it to use Rest for free once per battle.

Mewtwo: lvl 70-100!!! @ Leftovers / Lum Berry
Trait: Pressure
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt / Recover
- Psychic
- Calm Mind

Kills quickly and Shadow Ball is useful sometimes at lowering Sp. Defense giving power to other moves.

Shadow Ball is pointless on Mewtwo. It is so powerful that a STAB Psychic does more damage to a pure Ghost-type than Shadow Ball does. Add the fact that Calm Mind boosts SAtk and SDef and there is no further discussing it. This Poke is incredibly cheap though and requires no skill using it. Only put Mewtwo in teams when your opponent is also not skilled enough not to use it.

Moltres: lvl 56-100 @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

- Flamethrower
- Sunny Day
- Morning Sun / Will-O-Wisp
- Substitute

Use only in Grass/Steel/fighting types. Otherwise, give up.

Meh. You shouldn't be using a Fire-type anyway. Sunny Day is its best set, but that also ruins Blastoise. Morning Sun is an XD move (iirc) and Will-O-Wisp can be quite helpful, especially behind a Sub. Still, Moltres is better used in NB, where you can take advantage of Hidden Power moves because its movepool totally sucks. Just don't waste three Fire moves on this thing.

Zapdos: lvl 60-100 @ Leftovers / Chesto Berry
Trait: Pressure
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

- Thunderbolt
- Drill Peck
- Thunder Wave / Light Screen
- Rest / Substitute

Give Leftovers, Thunderbolt to paralyse, take 1/4 HP, and finish with Thunder. Fighting type enemy, Fly and Drill Peck damage is crucial with zapdos

Two Electric and two Flying moves is counter productive. When would you ever use Fly over Drill Peck? Hopefully the answer to that is the correct "NEVER". Thunder Wave is a great disabling move or Light Screen helps the rest of your team. Rest or Substitute are equally useful. This is probably the only Legendary Bird I would even consider using in-game, let alone at all.

Articuno @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Roar
- Sleep Talk

Steel wing until Defense lowers a bit, the finish with Ice Beam or Fly. Tactic2: Ice Beam to freeze, then Blizzard as finishing strike. Hold items: Leftovers/Nevermeltice

Another Poke with a limited movepool that is more useful in competitive play. Still works in-game to a small degree, but not nearly as effective. The best strategy is to abuse its rather large base SAtk. Rest any ailment/HP loss and then attack with Sleep Talk. Either a STAB Ice Beam or a Roar is helpful. I would much rather this thing disappear and a better Poke be added.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Too many shared weaknesses to be an effective team, especially if you are playing against someone who is also using Legendaries.

Fixes and suggestions in bold:
Venusaur @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Sludge Bomb / Razor Leaf
- Synthesis

- Sleep Powder
- Leech Seed

Synthesis will be more useful here. Choose either physical or special. I would go Sludge Bomb.

Nidoking @ Choice Band
Trait: Poison Point
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Sludge Bomb
- Earthquake
- Megahorn
- Shadow Ball

Nidoking.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam / Baton Pass
- Wish
- Substitute

This is your preference. Surf + Ice Beam is a good combo, but being able to pass strong Subs to the rest of your team can be even more effective.

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Double-Edge
- Shadow Ball
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Careful will be more useful, since you want to be able to take more hits whilst asleep.

Haunter @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Giga Drain
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Punch
- Substitute / Hypnosis

Meh. Don't bother with Shadow Ball. If you want physical, go with SubPunch. Since the AI is too limited to switch out, HypPunch works out too. Giga Drain is also more helpful than Psychic.

Ninetales @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Toxic
- Will-o-Wisp
- Grudge

Meh. Not a big fan of Fire-types, but it is your team. I would much rather see Jynx be here.

I'm planning on using that team. Does anybody have suggestions? I've only just gotten my sassy Bulbasaur, so feel free to change anything, including the pokemon. I can't get any trade only pokemon like Alakazam or Gengar(hence the Haunter).
Not a bad team. A few changes and you are set.

<snip>
Not a bad team. A few changes and you are set.
Well instead of Ninetales, what could work well with my team? I was thinking I needed a pokemon that could learn a fire type move so I can deal with steels and grasses.
EDIT: I'm not a fan of Jynx, probably should have mentioned that.

How often do you encounter Steel-types in FRLG? Not much to require a Fire move, especially when Ground/Electric pretty much handle them anyway. Ice and Flying also take care of Grass-types as well. Like I say, the weaknesses that Fire-types have just don't make up for their move type, especially when they are so easily covered with other moves you should have on your team anyway. Fire-types are as crappy as Poison-types. I was half hoping that a slight change would have been made in DP, but all the changes did was make them even MORE worthless.

What do you have against Jynx? It has a great base SAtk (115) and solid base Spd (95). It is extremely weak on the physical side (both offensively and defensively), but that isn't its strength. Imagine having a Poke that can put things to sleep and then boost up using Calm Mind and then having not only a STAB Ice Beam, but also a STAB Psychic to deal damage with, all behind a strong Substitute passed from Vaporeon. What AI team is going to get through that?

If your dislike for Jynx extends beyond seeing its great usefulness on your team, go with Zapdos or Electabuzz or even Starmie instead.

Why do I not like Jynx? She's fugly.

Have you seen the rest of your team??? LOL If you are seriously basing your team on looks, you are failing miserably.
