You know, deck rating is sort of what this whole section is about. (Well, that and discussing strategy). Anyway, your deck seems to have two main problems: too much bulk and not enough synergy. Not going with standard builds is A-OK, but unless you're packing a lot of search and draw effects you should always keep your card count down to the minimum: 40, because that way you'll maximize your odds of drawing the good cards. Anyway, your lineup looks sort of...aimless. Fairies and Fire attribute monsters have absolutely no effects that support each other, Layard seems to serve very little purpose at all since you aren't removing your fairies from play, Gravity Bind shuts out the better part of your own monster line-up, and you just generally seem to be split between Burn- and Beatdown-style cards. Don't. In order for your deck to be efficient you need to focus, so I'd suggest picking either the stall and burn approach (possibly a Fire Princess deck if you want to stick with Fire, in which case you could also run Raging Flame Sprite since it attacks under Gravity Bind and can swing straight at your opponent's life points) or an aggressive beatdown type thing (although really, Fire isn't that glorious at it). I also have my doubts about Uria; if you're only running six continuous traps (unless I miscounted) then the odds of assembling three of them face-up on your field are already very slim indeed. Add that to the facts that Uria itself will be hard to dig for and is liable to be nuked by Smashing Ground in the unlikely event that it does get onto the field and you have quite the collection of unlikely events. Not good, Uria is one of those cards pretty much requires you to build the whole deck around them and its abilities really aren't very good compensation for the effort. :\

Anyways, the only YGO cards I have (other than the three promos) are in my Spirit Caller game, and I have yet to acquire most of the good monster cards so my deck is really, REALLY wonky at the moment. Oh well, feel free to check it for laughs:

    Monsters (22)
    3x Dark Magician
    2x Dark Magician Girl

    1x Adhesive Explosive
    1x Amazoness Swordswoman
    1x D.D. Warrior
    1x Double Coston
    1x Exarion Universe
    2x Giant Orc
    2x Giant Rat
    1x Giant Soldier of Stone
    3x Kuriboh
    1x Sangan
    3x Vorse Raider

    Spells (15)
    3x Brain Control
    2x Fissure
    1x Graceful Charity
    1x Heavy Storm
    1x Last Will
    1x Mystical Space Typhoon
    1x Premature Burial
    2x Rush Recklessly
    1x Swords of Revealing Light
2x The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh

    Traps (3)
    1x Crush Card Virus
    1x Magic Cylinder
    1x Ring of Destruction

Yeah, like I said: wonky. Sadly, Dark Magician and DMG are the strongest I have in the way of tribute monsters yet. So basically, the aim is to set up tribute fodder with the Flute of Summoning Kuriboh and Brain Control to bring them out, sometimes pull a Crush Card if I have a lucky draw, then hope to sweep my ingame opponents and their even weaker decks. Giant Rat is there because it's the only recruiter I have (Aside from a lone Mystic Tomato whose only viable target thus far is Sangan :\) hence why there are some Earth attribute monsters around.

Anyways, two notes: 1. The game uses a banlist from 2006, hence why Graceful and Last Will are in there. 2. I'm running Adhesive Explosive because it's my duel spirit (I.e. it grants me a handy-dandy out-of-duel effect) and the only way to improve its ability is to level it, which means I have to play the dang thing. :3 Feel free to suggest changes to which I will most likely respond with 'I don't have that card yet'. I'm going to scrap this one once I have assembled all I need for a proper deck, anyways. (Been thinking Warrior Toolbox but I still need Freed and another copy of Reinforcement of the Army before I go there)

    My ideal style?

Avoid face up monsters at all like plague, because whatever remains faceup will end up hurting me badly by going through forced betrayal =o Either that, or use monsters that are not affected by frickin' brain control *insert evil laugh here*

Personally when I build up my WC2007 (OH GOSH game speed is slow, and the starter deck is one of the worse in all WC YGO games ;o; When Winged Kuriboh is initially difficult, you know that your deck is bad. Just to hit you while you're down, Konami decided to give you e-heroes for the heck of torturing you with only one miracle fusion. Everyone see what's wrong with this now?), I really look forward to Wave Motion Cannon, because it is awesome regardless of how it will be pwned by Mobius, Twister, Heavy Storm, Raiza, Des Wombat, and many other cards in general.

So, really, looking forward to making a burn of some kind, or using Horus, Invincil or counter fairies ^^ (with DD Crow of course. Everyone dies to D Hero without DD Crow teched in main or sidedeck somewhere D= )

Alter Ego already pointed out everything wrong with the fire/fairy deck... so yeah.

You finally have Spirit Caller...? :)

Well, in your context, that deck is pretty good. It'll certainly get you through the earlier duels...

Yeah, I've stopped buying as many cards as I used to (only have 4 or less packs each from CDIP on), so until I finally get WC07, my best bet is Spirit Caller...but I've got quite a few decks on there: Spellcaster, Warrior, Chimeradget...and a pseudo-replica of my main real-life deck...and quite a few more.

I'd love to duel you on there sometime, AE...once you have all the cards.

Or both of you get WC2007 XD; It's really hard to be motivating on WC2007 (GOSH i hate their new duel point system... fighting kuriboh is just as many duel point as fighting any lv 2 duelist -_-)

I will someday, I promise you that...so that I can update my generic decks' styles with the CDIP-on cards that I haven't bothered to buy...but I'm more interested in the here and now at the moment...
