Yu-Gi-Oh better tha Pok?mon?

    I'd say Yuu-Gi-Oh. It has more story, kinda. Well the anime is better then the pokemon anime. The yuu-gi-oh manga and pokemon special manga are about the same in quality.
     
    Better in what way? The anime? The game? Be specific, AdamHays. In terms of anime, Yu-Gi-Oh is better (though I am quite biased). It has better storyline like blue says and better characters. However, also consider that Pok?mon and Yu-Gi-Oh targets different audiences (Pok?mon=younger, Yu-Gi-Oh=older).

    If you're comparing the game quality of both, then you're being very general, AdamHays. Both are different kinds of games. Pok?mon is a RPG, while Yu-Gi-Oh is a strategy game. I would say, however, that I do get more enjoyment playing Pok?mon Fire Red than Yu-Gi-Oh: WCT 2004. In terms of TCG, Yu-Gi-Oh blows Pok?mon out of the water.

    Next time, be more specific on making comparisons AdamHays, and choose a better subject to compare to, Pok?mon vs Digimon for example.
     
    For that last one, Digimon will surely pwn.

    I think Yu-gi-oh is better than Pok?mon in all media except for the video games...
     
    I tried to watch Yugi a few times. It was like an animated instruction manual :/. So I like Pokemon, duh. Besides, I prefer the concept of owning "real" creaturesd instead of hologram cards or whatever those are.
     
    Yu-Gi-Oh I guess. They only real thing thats the same is the T.V. show, the Pokemon/Cards on the shows are not the same in the games itself =\. The card game is really what keeps Yu-Gi-Oh alives, either than that its pretty boring...

    WARNING: My Opinion!

    Anime:
    Yu-Gi-Oh! > Pok?mon

    TCG:
    Pok?mon > Yu-Gi-Oh!

    Mang?:
    Pok?mon > Yu-Gi-Oh!

    Games:
    Pok?mon > Yu-Gi-Oh!
     
    Well, if we want to generalise it into sections, I would have to agree with Casty for the anime and games, but I don't buy manga or trading cards, so wouldn't know what they were really like. :/
     
    I think that Yu-Gi-Oh just is too overrated for me. Pokemon is the best out of the two. But then, this is just my opinion. ^_~

    I like pokemon better...sence i dont really watch the series that often..I pay attention to the games...and the pokemon games are about 50x better than YGO ones..
     
    I like YGO like 5% more than Poke'Mon because I have one several tournaments with YGO and none with PKMN, and I am more familiar with YGO.

    YuGiOh, IMHO, is much better than Pok?mon, anime-wise at least. The stories are better, more serious, and the characters are more interesting. I don't like how Pok?mon sometimes relies on almost a Warner Brothers-ish humor, i.e., people getting hurt and it's meant for laughs. When people get hurt on YGO, it's a serious matter.

    Sorry, I can't compare the two where the other aspects of the fandom are concerned. I haven't read the Pok?mon manga (the YGO one can be kinda disgusting at times, though, but I do have an extreme respect for the creator, Takahashi-san) and I don't religiously collect the cards or the video games. I did play some of both Pok?mon Leaf Green and the first YGO Battle City related game and I liked them both. ^__^ If I ever get the money to buy a gaming system, it's gonna be GBA.

    I agree. Though I'm more of a Pokemon fan than Yugioh, I like Yugioh better anime wise. TR blasting off all the time is not what I always like to see.
     
    Have you even read this? Noone is bickering or anything, were acutally talking about a vs topic with no fighting or spaming.
     
    Because it's only 17 posts in. I said "end up", not "currently is". i wasn't implying it was that way now.But Give it time, and it'll come. sooner or later. people will start using Rhetoric on each other, people will start taking offense, and then that is when the flaming starts.

    But my honest stand point on this topic ist aht the Pokemon Video Games and toys are much better than Yugioh's and since I consider the tv shows more or less even, I side with Pokemon on this one. Pokemon has been around for seven years now and is making a comeback, and already Yugioh is fading fast. Not something I want to see, and not something others want to here, but it's the truth as I see it. Personally I hope it does what Pokemon is doing now and make a comeback. The cards get plenty of play, so hopefully jsut like POkemon that will hold it over until it ghet's it's second wind.
