Zapdos Moveset

    I need a Zapdos moveset for FR/LG. NOT NETBATTLE...Thanks.

    Zapdos @Leftovers
    Nature: Modest/Timid/Hasty/Naïve/Rash
    Thunderbolt
    Drill Peck
    Thunder Wave/Rest
    Light Screen/Sleep Talk

    I prefer the Rest-Sleep Talking version, but some people don't like that so if you're one of those people, go with the alternative. Aim for Modest or Timid for the Sleep Talking version, or the other natures for the Thunder Wabve+Light Screen one.

    that's pretty much it fr zappy, unless you like the cb set.

    Nature: Hasty
    Thunderbolt
    Drill Peck
    Thunder Wave
    Light Screen

    Drill peck is there for stab, if it was modest nature then drill peck will do less damage.
    Light screen will half sp.attacks
    Thunderbolt will always hit then thunder which is more powerful but risky.
    Thunderwave will annoy other pokemon.
     
    You should get pokemon XD

    Zapdos sucks without Metal Sound IMO

    Hamir, you suggested the same set that I did. Don't do that next time, it's pointless and redundant.

    Its actully pretty decent without metal sound. I use T-bolt, hp grass, rest, stalk in netbattle and it wins battles.

    I use T-bolt, Hp grass, Substitute, Baton Pass in netbattle and it wins battles as well... BPassdos is an option with xd
     
    HP Grass ingame? Ever bothered trying to get it?
     
    The point of the movesets are sleep talking and subpassing... Ingame drill-peck is obviously subbed in over hidden power [ice/grass]

    hence the "you should".... I never suggested metal sound. I said I thought zappy sucked without metal sound.

    I knew you were going to say this.

    Why would he even want to get XD if he wanted a set for FRLG.

    Also Stalker Zappy is just fine. Zapdos doesn't need Metal Sound to be good.
     
    this one time I used:

    rest, sleep talk, thunderbolt, metal sound with spikes and gengar and it worked...
     
    OMG he said moveset for FR/LG and Firebolt5 I suggested that already so you didn't even read the thread... Now I know why Mullet is so irritated
     
    Stalker Zapdos is a piss Pokemon because you can't even guarntee that you're going to use the move you want with Sleep Talk. You might use Rest again!

    HP Grass, Substitute, Thunderbolt, Baton Pass is a great set and many people have realized that by now smart one so don't say that I copied your set.
     
    I never said I created the set I said I already suggested the set so you resuggesting it was useless... Stalker zapdos is great because it can actually take hits and Sleep Talk means that you aren't useless while resting...
     
    Stalking sucks in the metagame I play, which is OU. You don't know how many times I've seen Stalker Zapdos. I hurt the guy, he goes to sleep, he uses Sleep Talk, and he keeps using Rest while he's asleep. *cough* Noob
