Zeth is drawing pokemon art...<3

I've finally decided to make a thread and keep it up by updating once a week. It'll also be all pokemon art instead of the random stuff I usually throw on.

I'll start by throwing out one of my favorite pokemon:

Mewtwo Sketch
Mewtwo CG

I oddly still like Mewtwo, even after years and years of new pokemon and stuff. I just can't get over the fact that he tried to rule the world. (Yay! Zeth also made a CG version. It's not very good, but it was my first time using layers...oO)

I'm going to try to have Poliwhirl up next. Then I'm not sure...I'll just dish out whatever pokemon I've felt like drawing, so I don't think I'll be taking requests. It'll also ensure that I stay interested that way. oO;

That's really good. Since what I just said is a broken record statement, I'll do my best to critique.

First of all, I can tell that you won't be going by the normal artwork. That Mewtwo is much more...detailed, I guess, than the "official" one. Which is a good thing, if you ask me.

Now on to constructive criticism. The head looks a bit angular. You said that it's a sketch, so that makes sense, but you may want to round it out just a tad, especially the chin area. I can't do any better, but still.

Wow, those are really good! The pose and lines are all so perfect even shading is amazing.

The color is also very clean and well done. I do agree on the head, the chin looks quite straight, it could be be more rounded, but otherwise really good work. ^^ Look forward to seeing more.

You know? Now I can't decide. The colored version's chin seems to work correctly. I guess the sketch is just a little more angular because it's not as polished.

Lol. Didn't mean to do that to you. I just mean that it seems like a bit more mature of a design than normal. As in "not cutesy", like the normal designs usually are.

Nice pose you pulled off there on Mewtwo. :) The anatomy, well, at least HIS anatomy, is great too. Though, I don't expect that sort of expression from him. He always keeps this cold look on his face, impossible of telling what is on his mind. But that doesn't matter. It's good work so far.

The wings and tail are great. Very majestic.

Something's slightly "off" with it's head, however. Maybe it's just the angle.

oooh! I love the feathers streaming behind its head! Even though I would choose a different angle to draw pidgeot from, it looks really good!

I also love how you drew Mewtwo. Not to confuse you more, but I think the chin is fine. It works well with the more advanced pose and character.

I drew Pigeot like that because I took this picture from the comic I'm making. It probably would make a lot more sense if I posted the entire page (but I don't wanna...>>...so...)
