zoroark cosplay?

so ive been considering making a zoroark cosplay but i began to wonder - would that be technically illegal since nintendo/the pokemon company owns the pokemon? apologies if this makes no sense or is a stupid question. im not knowledgeable in this stuff at all.

Pokemon cosplays are pretty common, iirc. You're not really making a profit off of TPC's/Game Freak's/Nintendo's work or anything, so I really think you're going to be ok.

Plus, tons of people cosplay as characters from either the games or the anime themselves and I don't think TPC would find it product to sue all of them, haha.
