After seeing how much Zygarde improved in the generation shift by gaining Thousand Arrows legally, I decided to try it with Charizard X.

    Zygarde:

    -Dragon Dance
    -Outrage
    -Thousand Arrows
    -Extreme Speed
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Lum Berry

I went with the offensive approach with Zygarde. The addition of Thousand Arrows gives it a spammable attack. Outrage is here if I really need to hit something hard. Extreme Speed is useful for the priority.

    Charizard X:

    -Dragon Dance
    -Flare Blitz
    -Dragon Claw
    -Earthquake
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Charizardite X
    Ability: Blaze

The other half of this core. It can bust past (most) walls with Tough Claws-powered attacks. Considering dropping Earthquake for Roost, as boosted Flare Blitz dents even resistances.

    Ferrothorn:

    -Stealth Rock
    -Leech Seed
    -Power Whip
    -Gyro Ball
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/88 Def/168 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Iron Barbs

Ferrothorn sets up Stealth Rock for the team while providing a resistance to the Water attacks aimed at a Charizard that hasn't Mega Evolved yet.

    Tapu Fini:

    -Moonblast
    -Taunt
    -Nature's Madness
    -Defog
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

Tapu Fini is the team's Defogger, serving to get Stealth Rock off for Charizard. I could've went for a more defensive nature, but this was the one I got from soft-resetting in my cart. It also helps break down stall with the Taunt + Nature's Madness combo.

    Weavile:

    -Knock Off
    -Icicle Crash
    -Ice Shard
    -Low Kick
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb
    Ability: Pressure

Weavile helps revenge kill opposing Dragons while providing disruption with Knock Off.

    Gengar:

    -Shadow Ball
    -Sludge Bomb
    -Focus Blast
    -Destiny Bond
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Ghostium Z

I couldn't find another Pokemon to fill in the last slot, so I went with Gengar.

Other Pokemon I've considered filling in are Ash-Greninja, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Lele, but I don't know where they should fit. Help with this, please?

When testing this team out, I had a bad tendency to bring in Zygarde earlier than I would have liked, when it was meant to clean up late game.

Edit: this team is Smogon OU (singles)

M Mawile could be a problem if Zygarde is weakened. Try putting something over Gengar for it. Specs Keld could give you a nice breaker to take advantage of Ground-types that switch in on Zygarde and Zard. If Weavile is enough for that, try CB Terrakion.

Keldeo isn't a bad idea, here; it's a nice fit over Gengar.

I've also been tinkering with Zygarde's item, which was swapping out Lum Berry for Dragonium Z to turn Outrage into a single-use nuke.
