  • Baseball cards are an interesting market. They aren't as cheaply made as say Pokemon Trading Cards are. Some of them can actually have a lot of value, especially when they're older and still in relatively good condition. A lot of the oldest ones from 1950 and before can fetch hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
I'm not sure, really. There's a site called Etsy that's been around since 2005 where stuff like this is sold all over the place, and Game Freak hasn't done a single thing yet. I think it just has to do with official vs. unofficial merchandise, really.
If I knew how to sew, I'd probably quit my day job and just stitch a whole bunch of plushies together and sell them off XD
I searched on Google and all I found were pictures of Snivy and Serperior plushes stitched to be asleep.
I want to move out of Florida now. Amazon just got the authorization to begin charging sales tax in Florida today, and it makes me and my family upset.
I did go to the state fair this year and for the bottle ring toss game they had set up, some of the prizes were life-size plushies of the Gen V starters. I was so tempted to grab a Snivy omg
Thanks. I'd appreciate that. I just posted something in the advice thread by the way. I want to try something else.
If someone calls you out you just run off screaming until they forget, and then resume stalking! :B

Yeah, that was what I meant. And you seem to have indicated you got it too, hurrah! Good luck with it and killing night hours while making money too! =D

And yay for playing games with friends! I hung out with friends during easter weekend as well and played video games.

Cheers for the review btw for my new story! I'll get a reply tomorrow evening probably, kinda busy. Also gotta take some screenshots of bbs stats. Kinda a quiet month, hopefully we can get more articles out for May... Least I got something put together during the week, especially as I have an assignment to attack this weekend. >_>
Lapras. Oh, wait, that wasn't a question! :P

Yeah, I'm not much for the religious sort of fanboy-ism, but I do hold my own as far as Pokémon Collections go. I have at least one plush of my all time favorites from each gen, including some imported Japanese ones (Keldeo being my most recent addition from over a month and a half ago). My Pokémon obsession drives my parents nuts, but my stuff is dwarfed compared to the collections of people who are either into Pokémon or other fandoms. Actually, I just watched a show last night called Barry'd Treasure, where a man named Barry Weis goes around trying to obtain and sell hard to find items for and from collectors (he basically acts as the middleman in the situation). Last night's episode dealt in toy collectors who specialize in action figures and figurines, particularly Japanese ones of mythological and fictional monsters called Kaiju (and the collectors actually went to Japan to get them originally).
Like I said, jobs like those are actually rare.

Also, @Terabyte's Pic: SO MUCH SNIVY! I got a Tomy Transforming Snivy/Poke Ball Plush, and I was ecstatic to get it! That makes me jealous.
Or how about rich enough to own a collection like this? :D

Yes, thankfully they are rare. Generally, they're only in the basements of old farmhouses that have been remodeled, which is bad because older concrete is actually harder than modern concrete. The amount of chlorine they use it in has changed substantially, since the old way had them use a lot of it to make the concrete setup really fast. Now they usually don't use a lot unless it's the middle of winter or something, but they used to tons of it all the time. It's a pain in the butt to nail into when it's really hard.
LMAO I wish I was rich so that I could afford to go to school without loans!

Staple carpet onto concrete steps. Technically, it /can/ be done, but my dad and I try to downplay the fact and just glue them on instead (not the best alternative, but it beats the hell out of the process we otherwise have to use). There's a tricky method to it. We have to hammer concrete tack strip onto where both the tread and the riser (the horizontal and vertical parts respectively). Then, I have to tap on a piece of carpet padding the size of the step, and finally, the piece of carpet gets stapled on. Custom work like that is generally a pain in the butt, but thankfully we don't have to do it very often. Concrete steps are hard to work on to begin with, even with adhesive... We have to cover the full step a lot of the time, not just up to the sides. The only plus side is that they're generally outdoors' steps and we can get away with using a really strong glue for them (sometimes we even use it indoors without saying anything about it :P).
Eh, heh. Everyone who works will likely tell you them. My own are rather somber in comparison to others. I usually get customers asking me if I can do things that I don't really do...ever... But, the worst part is when the owner of the store I work out of pushes for stuff like that... >.<
Well, your job is probably steadier than mine. I have to wait for contractors and customers to call me to schedule stuff, so there are a lot of days I don't work.
At least you're in a paying job though! :D

I think I have a job coming up soon as well.. because I was asked by my college's career center job placement assistant to give him a copy of my SSN, driver's license and bank account info as well. I'm very ecstatic about that!
