Welcome to Video Game's Poll of the Week! Thanks to the permission of Pokemon General's moderator Brendino, Video Games will now be hosting a weekly series that pits certain video game characters, levels, and universes against other to see which one will come out on top! In last week's Poll of the Week, Kingdom Hearts dazzled it's way to become PC's most beloved PlayStation IP series!
Expand on your answers! Tell us why you prefer one video game element over another! Posts that don't elaborate as to why specific elements were chosen will be deleted, and a warning may be given out through an infraction if it's a reoccurring issue.
If you have a matchup that you would like to see, whether between video game characters or worlds/universes, send me a VM or PM and if your matchup gets chosen then an emblem will be given out as a reward!

    Without further ado:

What is/are the best Call of Duty games?

The best memories I have of a Call of Duty game are Black Ops. hashtag and I used to play with a group of guys and we would absolutely destroy anyone that we fought. We were like a perfectly fluid and amazing team - I don't think we lost more than five matches the entirety of our time playing. It was a blast and I never bought another Call of Duty game after because it would never compare to the fun summer days with those guys.

I just realized I voted for the sequel. lol.

Voted for the Modern Warfare trilogy, 'cause it's all I've really played, lol.
But I did like them. Just not for your 'normal' reasons seeing as I don't generally play MP. I never bothered to pay for that on my 360, and I think the only MP game I even have any hours in on Steam is Insurgency.

I liked the first as a single-player game. I actually enjoyed the campaign. Not enough to play it over and over, but I think I ran it two or three times before tossing it aside. It was at least a far more memorable campaign than the latter two.
MW2 and 3 had decent campaigns, but really, my fondest memories come from the local co-op with my dad and boyfriend, though mostly my dad. There's not a lot of local co-op games available that my dad will even play, HE'S SO PICKY. For awhile it was basically just Gears of War and RE5 over and over, so when he hooked onto MW2 and 3... they made for a nice breath of fresh air every once in awhile. <3

Never played any of the ones before 4. Played a little WaW, didn't really grab me. I don't remember if Boyfriend has Blops 1 or 2, but whichever it is, I haven't played enough to judge it yet. Haven't touched Ghosts or AW.

I voted for Call of Duty 2, 3, and World at War. The reason why I voted for them is because they are set in World War II which is one of my interests. I would have voted for the first Call of Duty, but I have not played it.

As for why I did not vote for the Modern Warfare trilogy, it is because I like them less than the ones that take place during World War II. As for why I did not vote for either of the Black Ops games is because I have never played them, and don't think I would like them. Course I did not vote for Ghosts or Advanced Warfare since I am probably not going to play them.

I would have to go with Black Ops 2, mostly due to how advanced its graphics seem to have been in comparison to all past games. Its maps seemed very engaging, and every single one of them seemed to have a way to get into places and get out. For example, if opponents enter a building one way and block your path, it's possible to get into the place some other way and wreak some havoc.

Weapons that have been featured here were also unique from each other, in their own way. Some were indeed overpowering, such as MP7, but not too much; even if foes are using them, you would still be able to get around with a bit of skill and whatnot. Plus, to make things more balanced, these kind of weapons also take a bit of experience to utilize, I believe; if you're new to CoD, it might not be very likely that you'll have fun utilizing them.

What I disliked most about Black Ops 2, however, is how laggy their online mode seems to be from time to time. Even if you have overly-decent connection, you still have some good amount of chance of lagging. I know some players use devices such as lag-switch to gain an upper-hand over opponents, but I feel it would be nice if they'd put more effort into preventing people from using those things.

I rewatched the cutscenes of WaW not long ago and I've got to say they nailed the feel of the Russian parts. The use of historical footage, especially its inclusion of civilian executions, is incredibly evocative, and there's something about the way the soundtrack works throughout the campaign... there's a very brutal theme to the game; it's all very World War-ish in a way that it ought to be portrayed but rarely is.

I feel 4 has the best multiplayer balance, though.
