And as always, I need to look on Google for some of those fast food chains, haha.
Ah yes, the struggle that is unfamiliarity based solely because you're not from a country the name is big in.
And as always, I need to look on Google for some of those fast food chains, haha.
I don't even know how people can think that anything less than $10/hr is something you can live on. I'm shocked that some US states don't even have a $10 minimum wage yet. I mean, you simply cannot support yourself in today's day and age on anything less than that.
Many, many years ago, $8/hr was the big money. Nowadays, that's like a drop in the ocean. You can't pay bills with that!
I asked three American friends of mine why they were against free healthcare. Two of them mentioned something about it being "too socialist". I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. Really there's so much you could do when you spend more tax money per capita than any other in the world.
I received healthcare in France once and it was top notch. The officials insisted on giving a small educational seminar (that I couldn't understand half of because it was in French) covering medicinal precautions, its history starting with Pasteur, etc. When I got sick of strep the antibiotics were available for free (technically you had to pay first and then the government would pay you). I can't understand why no one would want that, really.
