I want Misty Back!

And that blog had hinted at an appearance sometime in the future, so it's obviously not referring to the real life event, (Believe me, she would NOT be addressing this implication of Misty returning if she was meaning the 10th anniversary stuff.). She even stated an ambiguous time of arrival (Sometime in the future), so people would not claim that she would return by now as a reason as to why she wouldn't.



Seeing how Candice had stuck with her DP lineup when they could have easily just used her Platinum lineup, there's little chance of Cynthia using Togekiss (since that was for Platinum), meaning the only other way they could give a proper debut to Togekiss is through Misty's Togetic.



Seeing how Lola had gotten an appearance in BF despite not even being mentioned since, what, "Showdown at Pewter City"? She may end up returning. Even if she can't, I will make sure I let the writers know that they should bring Misty back, or else.

Thank you, sir. You are indeed awesome. I hope they listen to you. Misty rules! (I put her in my avatar w/ Ash!) Misty was one of the coolest people on Pokemon in my opinion, & she had real feelings for Ash. If they can bring back Gary, they can bring Misty back, too! :D Hey, a lot of people said there wasn't going to be a GS remake, but there is! HAHAHAHAHA! Seeing how they were able to reference several things (like Pikachu's Evolution Stone, Lt. Surge, Ash's original outfit, Caterpie/Butterfree, etc, etc.), would it really matter?

Since the anime is aimed a 6 - 11 year olds it wouldn't matter that older fans are watching it. I don't get how references apply to the person who I was commenting to though.

From what I think, the most we'll see from Misty from now on are a few eps of cameo arcs from each generation. I think it's highly possible she'll make a cameo within the remainder of this generation. As for her returning to the main cast, highly likely a "no".

That's true. As much as I liked Misty back in the old days, she's in the past and the audience of today would have no clue who she was. She hasn't been on the air in what, 7-8 years? My little brother and little sister don't even know who May was, let alone Misty.

Plus, she has the most reason to be back, she works hard everyday doing shows and gym battles, she needs a rest, plus, there's Ash, Who she beat in a battle twice, and was as dumb as Son Goku when she last saw him,

References =/= incentive to reorganize the cast. A huge change in the anime or a big arc never formed because those particular things were referenced. They were referenced in order to create character development for the respective characters: Pikachu still has his pride, Ash still remembers his first captured Pokemon, James still harbors deep loathing for his rich upbringing and his fiance, Brandon was brought back for the Regigigas plot, and May had her obligatory arc as the previous female protagonist.

Returned itself to the pokeball? In order for him to go back into the pokeball, he has to be within close proximity (eg, it's capture episode where it had to peck at the ball's button twice), it can't just "will" itself to come into the Pokeball. It may "will" itself to come out, but not to come back in.

I just re-watched the Catch ya later episode and wow is that an emotion high episode. I really like Dawn and I liked May as well but nothing is the same without Misty. It was so sad when she left, I miss her in the series her, Brock and Ash have been through everything. I really liked when she made the appearances every now and then. Maybe one day she will be back to stay.

Does it really matter if it was the past or not? I mean, if they can make a character who for nine seasons straight was not ever mentioned after Brock's debut episode (to the dub fans, the infamous part where it's stated that she "passed away"), and not seen at all in even that episode a regular character in the series (even going as far as to add her into the ending of Giratina and the Sky Warrior), they can certainly bring Misty back.

If it was so easy to have Togekiss debut like that, then they would have debuted Togetic in Johto under another trainer's control, and NOT have waited until Hoenn to debut it then and there (and wanna know what Togetic's debut episode was? That's right, the episode that Togepi evolved.). Heck, we can also forget about that whole "Legendary" status of Togepi in the Mirage Kingdom Arc, as well.

Never say never. In fact, Mayumi Iizuka has already hinted at a return for Misty, and if she doesn't return, we'll make sure the writers try to get her to come back!

i really can't think of any good reason on why he would neglect his duties just to randomly pop in to show off its togekiss status, can't see how he'll pop by for a visit at all.

just because Misty had a togetic, doesn't mean someone else cant randomly pop in with one and help them kick team rockets ass again.

If you really liked Misty, you wouldn't be using the whole "ruined forever" thing about Misty, and claiming that they'll ruin her character, because guess what, the Misty haters always use that same excuse to bash Misty to oblivion. Well, seeing how Togepi and it's line has been shown to have a status similar to legendaries, and how it's considered to be uber-rare, just giving a random trainer a Togekiss would not really make much sense either.

Again, I'll state this: If they wanted to do that, they should have debuted Togetic as a COTD's Pokemon/POTD instead of waiting until Hoenn's middle ground to debut it by evolving Misty's Togepi, and they wouldn't have played out the entire Togepi line to be some sort of pseudo-legendary group.

If Mayumi Iizuka did mean that it was just an appearance and not a full-fledged return like she implied in that blog of hers, why didn't she do that every time Misty made an appearance since "The Princess and the Togepi", and especially do a blog hinting at Misty's appearance for "MMOMP"?

One reason why I would want Brock removed is because I felt his antics towards women not only were sexist towards women, but they also shame those of us who are straight. And anyways, I wouldn't want any of the characters to leave the show, but I do feel that it would be fair if they removed all of them if they had to remove one of the characters (It's either "Remove all of the main characters" or "keep the main characters" to me.).

As for me, I wouldn't care. As long as her continued appearances as a main character allow girls to at least have the chance at trying to emulate her behavior and not feel as though they have to emulate bimboes or porn stars, I'll be happy.
