And that doesn't include Alola Forms and (HOPEFULLY) Megas because those are national. Hm... I'd be very okay with different types for islands actually, if the design changed as well.
Here's a sort of update on the leaks that were posted here a couple of days ago;
Spoiler:>Greninja-Ash will appear in the game. This can have the same agreement with the bracelet Z announced, as it is a form of synchronization on the Pokémon.
>Raticate and Rattata Type Alolan will Sinister.
>Alolan Butterfree will be Bug Type / Phychic
>Abra, Kadabra and Alakazam will Alolan Fight Type.
>Alolan Nidoking and Nidoqueen will become Poison Type / Fight.
>Growlithe and Arcanine Type Alolan Water will become.
>Alolan Doduo and Dodrio will be flying Type / Fight.
>New forms of Alolan for the first generation, can only be obtained by transferring the Pokémon Games Virtual Console 3DS Red, Blue and Yellow but not be limited only to these games. (I suppose Pokemon GO will work with the Games like Masuda said)
>Furfrou get a new style, which will be somewhat acclimatized depending on the island of Alola.
>Cats will have new Pokémon variety regarding parenting.
>A snow man came also with Rate Ice / Ghost
>Final evolutions of the original will be two.
>The latter can be based with the evolution of Gender and explain why the evolution of Popplio is a Mermaid.
Gonna share some of my thoughts here, spoilers below:
Spoiler:Bruxish having a pre-evolution was something I hoped since I didn't really imagine Bruxish being a standalone Pokemon. Maybe I could see it being a Lumineon clone as the typical two-stage fish Pokemon.
Drampa being part of a two-stage line pretty much means it's not the pseudo-legendary, but since pseudo-legendaries are usually near the end of the dex and are three-stage lines with 600 BST makes me wonder what the pseudo-legend is then.
Mimikyu being a standalone seems given since it appears to be nothing more than just a gimmick. Bewear being standalone as well kinda fits since its design looks too simplistic to suggest a pre-evo or evo for it. Oricorio is also likely a gimmick which is also why it has no evolution line.
Snohom and Snorror appear to be the snowman Pokemon that was mentioned in one of the recent leaks, Delfin and Porprise suggests our long-awaited dolphin Pokemon. Goruggla looks like it's the rugby monkey.
Komala's evolution becomes part Psychic? I guess I could consider that typing useful since it does lose the weakness to Fighting in exchange for Bug and Dark weaknesses.
Cutiefly evolving only once seems to disappoint that someone who hoped it would evolve twice. Also I totally didn't expect Wimpod to be a middle stage in its evolution line.
Bounsweet apparently has a Poison-type evolution? Maybe this suggests branched evolution line since it also appears to have a Grass/Psychic evolution.
No new fossils? Rockruff and Minior don't scream fossils, so if this is the case 7th Gen will only be the second generation ever that hasn't introduced a new fossil, with 2nd Gen being the other.
The island guardians being Fire, Ghost, Electric and Psychic seems to be something I speculated ever since I saw Oricorio's forms have those same types. I guess those are the types the four islands will be themed around.
Malshadow (Marshadow) is Dark/Fire? That heavily contradicts the leak that said it was going to have a unique typing. Also, it appears we'll still be suffering the Poison Legendary hoodoo if this list is true.
And then there's this "Various" type that I guess likely confirms the split evolution rumor? Rockruff's evolution appears to have four different secondary types mentioned in the list. They appear to be Steel, Dark, Fighting and uh... Fairy or Flying?
Anyways, I could have added more but this being the potential leak of the entire new Pokemon roster is definitely huge indeed. 109 also makes this the fourth-largest generation, behind Gens 3, 1 and 5 respectively.
#815-817 are supposedly our pseudo-legendary line.Drampa being part of a two-stage line pretty much means it's not the pseudo-legendary, but since pseudo-legendaries are usually near the end of the dex and are three-stage lines with 600 BST makes me wonder what the pseudo-legend is then.
And Cumbersum is our sea cucumber from the leak.Snohom and Snorror appear to be the snowman Pokemon that was mentioned in one of the recent leaks, Delfin and Porprise suggests our long-awaited dolphin Pokemon. Goruggla looks like it's the rugby monkey.
According to the leaker, Malshadow's ability allows it shift types.Malshadow (Marshadow) is Dark/Fire? That heavily contradicts the leak that said it was going to have a unique typing. Also, it appears we'll still be suffering the Poison Legendary hoodoo if this list is true.
And then there's this "Various" type that I guess likely confirms the split evolution rumor? Rockruff's evolution appears to have four different secondary types mentioned in the list. They appear to be Steel, Dark, Fighting and uh... Fairy or Flying?
Robinroot: Grass/Flying, Grass, Grass/Ground, Grass/Electric
Beltigre: Fire/Dark, Fire, Fire/Ghost, Fire/Poison
Sirene: Water/Fairy, Water, Water/Fighting, Water/Psychic
Weruff: Rock/Dark, Rock/Fighting, Rock/Steel, Rock/Fairy
Porprise: Water/Ice, Water/Steel, Water/Fairy, Water/Dragon
Darline/Darwisker: the fabled breed cats. Normal/Anything.
Uh, Pinkie said 104. The 109 is another rumor than the one Pinkie shared. 104 will tie this Gen with Gen IV (Sinnoh remakes confirmed!)
I doubt every single pokemon would leak this early, but you never know I guess? I like some of the ideas, but also hate some of them :/
BW pre-release had a moment where the entire new Pokemon list was leaked before the game's release and Serebii was threatened with a cease-and-desist note. At least we know Serebii (aka Joe, not the site) may pick up on this but won't share it yet he'll still share his thoughts on Twitter.
I personally hope Popplio-mermaid is real because we needed a more feminine looking starter; I don't think we've ever had that since...Meganium, maybe?
Except for Greninja, who was chosen before XY came out.So a comment on the smash thing:
Bi pedal or quad doesn't matter for smash reps. It's all in the moveset. A water type always has options for recoveries, such as waterfall, surf, etc.
Fire has options such as fire spin, fly, etc. If litten's was chosen, a fighting move could be it's recovery. Like little macs.
For Rowlet's, it could fly.
For poplio's, either surf, or any other water move could work.
Greninja's is hydropump so it doesn't matter much.
Pokemon reps are chosen based on popularity in smash.
Also that leak with random compilations is fake, it has the captains on the wrong island.
