    ED actually does a great job at optimization.

    Even lower end laptops can run it relatively smoothly.

    My synesthetic brain gives the number twenty about the same colour scheme as this avatar. So that's a pretty successful match. It's almost like I planned this.

    I dunno if I'd say it's better for that reason- after all, they're completely different genres.

    And generally the problem with games where you can do whatever you want (especially space games like Elite Dangerous and, soon, No Man's Sky) is that there's really not much to do, making them fun for a time but not much longer, because they give you free space to roam but leave the what largely to you without supplying much.
