I forgot to add, Zubats! Zubats are adorable and I get super excited for cave-related routes
but I absolutely HATE geodude for the same reason that people hate zubats- WAY TOO COMMON
you know what really grinds my gears? (Klink) People saying Pokemon is for little kids, I am in Junior High and people pick on me because I play it
As a 26 year old that has been with the series since Red and Blue came to the US, I know this feeling. I was in 7th-8th grade around the dawn of 3rd gen and people would give odd stares to anyone who brought their GBA to schools with a transparent red or blue colored cartridge in it.
I can say that it gets better around college-age. Lots of people playing the games without being ashamed of it, and even when that is behind me I still have my girlfriend of three years and a handful of friends around my age that casually play it. If you stick with the series long enough, I'm sure you'll eventually find like-minded people. Patience is the main key.
there are far too many legendaries.. the legendaries now do NOT feel legendary anymore. remember when it started there were only 4 legendaries. the Kanto bird trio and mewtwo. they were special and they were few. now at this rate the legendaries will number into the triple digits soon. now you just see every kid on YT just walks around with some giratina and it just does not feel like the legendary creature anymore. they feel like common poodles now.
pokemon is just a massive expensive game of rock-paper-scissors. there are reasons to stare at older people playing it. nonetheless i play it. live your life, do what you love.
(Geddit? Relicanth? Anyone?).
- Pikachu sucks
While I disagree with most of what you said, this makes perfect sense. I've said this before, but pikachu doesn't deserve to be the only pokemon everyone knows.
