  • That was a pretty fun and energetic song! Sounds a bit old-timeyish at parts for some reason (by that, I mean ~20 years ago). I really liked the bridge(?) section with the piano and accordion-sounding instruments. I'd give it 8/10.

Here's one that I really liked as a kid:

I haven't played the game to rate it perfectly, but it sounds pretty damn great, though it is not something I would add to my playlists haha.

EA, giving crap games but nice OST's... touche >_>

    8.5/10.
It's a great piece. Though I've only actually heard in-game in the KH version, it still has stuck. It really strikes fear when you are in battle with Sephiroth. Though it's not near as great outside of the game, it's still worth listening to either way.

Can't post links yet so... I guess a quick google search won't hurt?

It's not really my forte, it's a good piece and I think others might rate it higher but it just was eh.

One of my favorites are the Hymns of the fayth in Final Fantasy X, but the one I'm sharing is otherworld from Final Fantasy X (not sure if it's been said yet, sorry if it has). It's easily my favorite boss theme followed closely behind by one winged angel. For me the Youtube video isn't wanting to work, it might work for others but if not here's the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbLQhzsJG0A

  • 9/10.

FFX Final boss theme is just hilariously amusing, yet epic to me. First time I played FFX, I wasn't expecting such a rock-heavy song, haha. Nonetheless, the guitar riff throughout the whole song gets me pretty pumped. Great song overall.

  • Oh boy, I don't even have to click that link, I already know that theme far too well Especially considering the main Melody appears all over the place in that game.

The Half of me that has played and loves the game gives it a 10/10 easily, The moment the song represents is great and I love it. Ignoring the Meaning of the song though and just judging it on the music alone, 8/10. It's good, but I've heard better themes, It's Delivery is a major reason why this song is so good.

(Author note: Remember, You're judging the music, Not the game.)

Never knew this one was called "A Cat Named Mittens". Props to the devs for going with a slightly amusing song title. The track's a little generic though, so 6/10.

  • Ehhh.... 7/10. Not really into the 8bit ost genre but I have my exceptions.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find this in order as its the best way to listen to it, so here you go. Mind you this isnt from a triple A game, it was all composed and produced for free.

Wow, a whole soundtrack, haha. Well, obviously I didn't listen to all of it but I did stop at around twenty minutes. But from what I've heard, this was amazing. Must give props to the composer to make such a beautiful soundtrack that works so well with the silent and ambient tone of the original Half-Life (or Black Mesa to be more specific). More specifically, I found the two end credits to be rather amazing songs. Part 1 for that amazing guitar piece, and Part 2 for that slow and dramatic theme. I'll give the whole soundtrack a whirl later, but I was pretty amazed for only twenty minutes. Oh, I almost forgot about Forget About Freeman! That too, was an amazing piece as well.

Out of all of Awakening's general map themes, I always thought that Conquest was the best. Though I do prefer the Ablaze parts of the tracks to the regular parts.
