Volbeat is the other one I caught. Right outside the daycare, I was breeding stuff and accidentally went into the flowers and there it was.
I saw a shiny Geodude in a horde but the other Geodudes used Magnitude... :(
Sweet, Volbeat's a pretty rare shiny. I don't know of too many people who have one! Those shinies tend to be the ones I'm most proud of - one of my favorite shinies is my Hitmonchan, since, like, no one ever SRs for shiny Hitmonchan, "lol!" {XD}
Sorry to hear about the Geodude; hope you can find another one soon!
Hi people I am new to the concept of shiny hunting. I have started shiny hunting since the new year of 2016 as a new year resolution and the shiny I currently own are: 1)Charizard
2)Metagross
And now I am currently hunting for a Larvitar. If you guys know some tip and trick you can share with me please tell me
P/s: I only own a gameboy advance and a gba emulator on my phone to play rom hack with
Hey ShadowSpherez, welcome to the Shiny Hunters Club! You're starting out with two of the coolest shinies ever (Charizard and Metagross are both safely in the top 5 shinies EVER!) and Tyrantiar's going to be another awesome one to add to your collection. I take it you're searching in FR/LG? Third gen's my favorite to hunt on; even though I have a 3DS, I'm still hunting on Emerald!
I started using a 3DS when X and Y came out, the first difference I noticed between it and the Gameboy Advance XP is it is sooo much heavier. It actually hurts to hold it for long periods of time as well as moving the thumb between the buttons.

Anyways just found a shiny Ponyta in Friend Safari after 42 encounters. Currently in the same safari looking for either Braixen, Larvesta or another Ponyta to evolve. I'll probably evolve Larvesta and leave Braixen as it is.
Congrats on the Ponyta! Those blue flames are amazing. I hope you're not planning to evolve it - shiny Ponyta's a lot cooler (or hotter? Blue flames generally have higher temperatures, "lol") than shiny Rapidash! :pink_nod:
I think the DSes are definitely heavier than the GBASP. What I do is leave the game on a desk or table so that I don't have to hold it at all! I'm pretty much always playing while sitting down at a desk, so my hands only have to press the buttons and don't have to hold the device.
And congrats on the Mienfoo!
all my new bbys yaaas
That aside, I'm going to keep trying for a shiny female Mawile, and I'll probably pair that with hunting for Nincada once more. I really hope these short 200-300 RE hunts keep popping up! I'll try to be more active here in the meantime- til then, happy hunting! :15:
Awes, congrats on all those shinies, magolor! I had no idea shiny Klang looked that awesome - it really stands out when lined up with your other three, haha. Good luck on Mawile and Nincada; Nincada's one of the toughest shinies to get, but if you keep at it, you can take down the Boss eventually! :pink_laugh:
haven't been shiny hunting in a while, but a couple of my recent breeding projects landed me some accidental shinies: Got a golett and an emolga.
Congrats! Did they have cool IVs and stuff, or were you at the beginning of the breeding process?
Hi,
I just discovered this forum and I'm just wondering if it is (normally) a full-odd one or not.
Thanks and good hunt!
Both! You get to pick - we have parallel Quests running, so all the people who are doing full-odds hunts are competing against each other, and everyone who's doing Friend Safaris/chaining is competing against each other. Feel free to join either one or both! You can also mix them, counting full-odds ones for the parallel one if you want. Feel free to join! Just let us know what shinies you already have and which ones you're searching for and we'd be glad to have you join! :)
Just got a shiny electrike with 4 horde encounters lol.
"lol" that's awesome! Congrats! I love the color of shiny Electrike, and I think I'm going back to hunt some more on Route 110 as another leg of my Hoenn mini-tour. There are so many cool shinies there!
