I like having physical copies of games. The only game I have downloaded (excluding virtual console games, which I don't mind having since some old games are expensive as balls) is Pokemon Y and it was free. Wouldn't be too upset if that got corrupted and lost, though I'd lose my Fairy monotype...hm.
it was my free game fo buying Mario Kart 8
(Could you imagine buying all the games on a Steam sale and having the physical items show up to your house?)
Etrian Odyssey IV is $15 on eshop. Might get that.
Having a big debate though whether to get Rune Factory 4 in Physical or Digital format cause $45 for a Physical copy is kinda excessive.
I think digital's best for handhelds. But if it's because of how Nintendo handles digital ownership, I agree.Getting a digital full game on 3DS is something I usually recommend against.
Honestly, I prefer to go with both options when getting games nowadays. I like physical copies so I can trade them in at a pawn shop when I'm done with them but I've grown more fond of digital copies over time as well seeing how I tried to play numerous physical copies of Halo Reach until they kept acting up and I finally decided to get it online for less than 10 bucks during a marketplace deal. Provided they're cheap enough, I'll happily go for the online deals.
Were you just actively scratching the discs of that game? I find it hard to through numerous copies of a game if you take good care of it (although my Black Ops shattered in my 360 after playing it for too long; it was literally one of the most bizarre moments when it came to gaming for me.)
You think? I on the contrary think that digital is best for PC or consoles because they have much bigger HDDs and don't usually require additional memory like handhelds.I think digital's best for handhelds.
The games are tied to the console for Nintendo, so you can redownload them. It's the console that you have to worry about. You think? I on the contrary think that digital is best for PC or consoles because they have much bigger HDDs and don't usually require additional memory like handhelds.
Plus, if your memory card crashes, it's lost, that isn't really case in Sony (and Microsoft probably?) but from what I've heard (feel free to correct me), Nintendo doesn't have the similar store and you cannot re-download the digital games you bought.
I dunno about that. You can get quite the reaction from how many digital games you have, as I learned just recently.I like to have the physical copies because they're better to show off with. I can easily show people handfuls of game cases and it actually mean something to them whereas showing them a screen with a list of games on it doesn't really mean much.
