View Full Version : Can anyone here solve a rubik's cube?!

July 21st, 2009, 12:56 PM
Just what the title states.

July 21st, 2009, 1:00 PM
Yes, in about two minutes. I haven't done it in a while so it might take me longer to remember the algorithms.

It isn't hard once you memorize the four or five different patterns of turns. Of course, the more turn patters (algorithms) you memorize, the faster you can solve a cube.

July 21st, 2009, 1:02 PM
Yeah. I can peel off the stickers and then glue 'em back on in a matter of minutes. :D

July 21st, 2009, 1:03 PM
I once tried my frends cube, but I gave up.
So she ended up buying another one and never touched it so its aligned perfectly and she tells people she solved it. :D

July 21st, 2009, 1:06 PM
Yeah. It's not that hard.

When I was little I just peeled the stickers off.

Yes, I find the cubes of rubixes easy.

I have never attempted because something so pointless (and also boring, imo) has never appealed to me.

Throw it out the window and the problem is solved. >:

July 21st, 2009, 1:42 PM
I used to be pretty adept at it, haven't even seen one in awhile though.

July 21st, 2009, 2:14 PM
I've done it once before.
I can't do it again though.

July 21st, 2009, 3:11 PM
I think my record is a minute and fifteen seconds or something like that. It's easy once you memorize all the algorithms.

I can also do the 4x4x4, but I haven't timed myself :O

July 21st, 2009, 3:32 PM
UGH. That's the biggest brain knocker ever. I don't even want to think about the stupid thing. Obviously, no, I can't solve it. I buy one and put it in my room and wait for it to get dusty and worn. Then when people come over I say, "Oh yeah. I'm a totaly genius because I solved that crap."

July 21st, 2009, 4:48 PM
Never in my life have I fully completed a Rubik's Cube. There were attempts... I just have no motivation to TRY and solve one. Rubik's Cubes are fun but I get bored with them too quickly.

July 21st, 2009, 5:16 PM
Throw it out the window and the problem is solved. >:

That's the real way to solve one of those hellish cubes.

Another way requires boredom, or a little extra time on your hands. Move all the damn stickers/paint all the cube surfaces. That's how I did it, that's how America does it.

July 21st, 2009, 5:22 PM
Yes, i'm proud to say that i can finish i rubiks cube!

my record is 2min 30 sec. it took a LOT of practice to do it that fast.

July 21st, 2009, 5:31 PM
Step 1. Peel the stickers off

Step 2. Put the stickers back on, in the right place.

BAM. You nao have a "Hacked Rubix Cube".

I solved a Rubik's Cube a few years ago. I believe my record was 1:01. It took about a month to get good at it though.

July 21st, 2009, 5:50 PM
I personally can't, but a few of my friends can. I remember one day one of my friends was showing me a trick he learned for solving a rubiks cube. I was too confused. xD He did it so fast though!

July 21st, 2009, 5:58 PM
I was never patient enough to learn the little algorithms to solving it, so I would just go about making random turns. Obviously, this just led to me getting frustrated and attempting to peel all the little stickers off. :>

The answer is no, I can't solve a Rubik's Cube. Though I am a bit intrigued now... perhaps I'll try it again?

July 21st, 2009, 6:44 PM
I think I did so once.. a long time ago... when I was very little.

Now I don't have the patience to solve it.

July 21st, 2009, 6:56 PM
I wish. I suck at it. I can only make one side all of the same color. Speaking of Rubix Cubes, I wonder where the hell did mine go, it's been alot of time since I last saw it. xD

July 21st, 2009, 6:57 PM
It's a nice boredom relief when you're in study hall and have nothing to do (it helps when the entire study hall is also busy messing with cubes too XD)

oh the question XD
yes, i can solve it, 5-10 minutes i think, dunno

July 21st, 2009, 11:15 PM
No ma'am. I can do one side! >.<

July 22nd, 2009, 2:07 AM
Yeah. I can peel off the stickers and then glue 'em back on in a matter of minutes. :D

- hi 5s - yay for the sticker peelers!

in all seriousness, the best i've ever done is 2 sides, im so rubbish XD

I can get most of the top two layers correct and that's as far as my attempts have gotten. O_o I've never learned any of the algorithms and just went at it but haven't been bored enough to sit down and complete one yet.

July 22nd, 2009, 2:40 AM
No, I've tried & given up.. some day I probably will =D

July 22nd, 2009, 2:42 AM
No, but my friend can do it in under 2 minutes.

July 22nd, 2009, 3:07 AM
It was REALLY hard! I never did it.........

July 22nd, 2009, 3:14 AM
Yeah. I can peel off the stickers and then glue 'em back on in a matter of minutes. :D
Yea I can solve it like that XDXDXD
but without doing that, I don't think I can't.

July 22nd, 2009, 4:08 AM
Yes, with a little bit of patience.
However i can't do it as fast as that guy o.o

July 22nd, 2009, 5:28 AM
That is so strange. My friend does that without looking in a minute. There are several techniques about how to solve that, but I was too lazy to learn it.

Captain Fabio
July 22nd, 2009, 5:41 AM
I have solved it before.
Wasn't really that hard :/

July 22nd, 2009, 5:51 AM
I can solve a rubik's cube! Although it usually takes me about around five minutes to do it.

July 25th, 2009, 12:05 PM
No I cannot solve a Rubiks Cube. D:

I would like to learn how to though. =/

July 25th, 2009, 12:07 PM
I've solved one once. Took me many months.

July 25th, 2009, 7:08 PM
Yes, I can. It takes me four minutes on average, but my fastest time is two. I can perform the algorithms without looking at the cube (but don't expect me to solve blindfolded or behind my back).

I can also solve the Professor Cube (5x5x5), but I rarely do since it takes me at least half an hour to do so, but I can't solve the 4x4x4 (I haven't gotten one yet, so I technology have not solved it yet.

I love to see people's reactions whenever I solve it.

-I can't stand those things.

-Did you just solve that?!

-You cheated, didn't you?

-You can solve that, too?

And the list goes on.

Umm does peeling the stickers off or breaking the rubics cube apart count as solving it, then if so then yes I did

July 31st, 2009, 4:48 PM
When I was little, I pulled all the cubes out and reconstructed the cube again.

Now, I can solve it, but not really fast enough

July 31st, 2009, 5:58 PM
They have a pattern, and I don't get it. It's too hard for me.

July 31st, 2009, 7:50 PM
All the people in my school who is good in Maths apparently solve a rubic's cube fast. :O
My Maths is beyond worse, so can you guess? :D

July 31st, 2009, 7:54 PM
Yes, I can. My record is about 2 minutes. :D

i tried a 2x2x2 and can only get 1 side T_T (computer game cubes)
still tryin... not doin so well

August 1st, 2009, 3:30 AM
I have done it around two times but both of them took more than an hour of trying. I'm sure than if I put a little effort I could become quite good at solving it but my laziness gets in the way.

August 1st, 2009, 9:32 PM
I have. Its kind of frustrating the first time.

August 2nd, 2009, 1:26 PM
Nope, because last time I was playing with a messed up cube. -_-

August 2nd, 2009, 2:21 PM
I probably could.

I'm either too lazy to, or I just forgot, since I haven't tried in a good long while. ):

August 3rd, 2009, 1:01 PM
I actually never had a rubiks cube... every teacher in my school has one, and they give the first student who solves it a prize... like an extra 100 for their grades...

A Real True Winner Is Me
August 5th, 2009, 12:14 PM
Yes, I could.

It would take me like about five minutes to solve it.

August 5th, 2009, 12:17 PM
I tried to learn how to solve one from youtube, but that failed. >>;

So instead of peeling the stickers since that messes it up, I take apart the cube and put it back together. Stickers are perfectly fine and I can say I 'finished solving' the rubiks cube!
