Greetings and Salutations! You may call me Jrez--or anything else that springs to mind really--and I shall henceforth be invading your community.
RPG's have been a passion of mine ever since I was a very young child, and my first Pokémon title was Blue Version... one that was entirely in Spanish. For a five year old that was still honing their English, this proved to be troublesome, especially in terms of progressing through the game. Yeah, my Charizard was level 77 by the time I figured out how to get to Lt. Surge.
Despite my rocky introduction to the world of Pokémon, I fell in love with the franchise and have played and completed Yellow, Red, Blue, Crystal, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Diamond, Stadium, Stadium 2, Snap, Puzzle Challenge, Mystery Dungeon Blue, Hey You! Pikachu!, and I'm currently working on Black and Explorers of Time. I never really got very involved with the TCG but I followed the anime religiously up through Johto Journies.
Apart from the Pokémon franchise I enjoy titles such as Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect, until BioWare dropped the ball of course, and other immersive RPG's. The Assassin's Creed series is my absolute favorite of this current gaming generation and I am foaming at the mouth waiting for Assassin's Creed III to release at the end of October. I'm also an avid fan of 2D fighter's and I'm really looking forward to the Guilty Gear reboot on its way to the Xbox Live Marketplace. Speaking of which, I love my Xbox 360, but I tend to avoid the console wars debate--they all have their pro's and con's in my opinion.
I found out a few years back that I thoroughly enjoy Role-Playing with others, and my RP experience began on the servers of World of Warcraft. I don't often take Role-Play to forums, I seem to enjoy the experience more within a game medium, but I look forward to having fun with you all on the RP boards. MMO's are also a joy of mine, and I will soon have a more powerful gaming rig, so I hope to expand beyond my current library, namely WoW. I also play titles in the FPS, RTS, TBS, MOBA, and Sport genres.
Manga and Anime really stuck out to me as a child and left a lasting impression interest. Most of beloved works aren't terribly new or contemporary, but they hold a place in my heart. Rurouni Kenshin has to be my favorite series, though one of the dubs was atrocious. Luckily, that wasn't the one I watched as a child. Some of my other favorites include Yu Yu Hakusho, Ranma 1/2, Hajime no Ippo and New Challenger, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, Welcome to the NHK, Fullmetal Alchemist, Lupin III, and Trigun, just to name a few.
Not sure what else to touch on, so I guess I'll see you all when I see you.
