    New here, but not new to Pokemon. My first game was Red then a few years later, Gold (which still remains a favorite). After borrowing Ruby, I was disappointed that you werent able to travel back to the previous regions. While Diamond improved some things, it still didnt bring back previous regions. Anyways, I've decided to build my own game based on the first four generations into one super game. I've got some brainstormed ideas with a plot that im currently working on piecing together for the storyline and will be starting on the maps this weekend. (I'll get a proper thread started for it asap). Hope to gain more knowledge here!

    Hey there Kevo, and welcome to PC! My name is Zach, and it's a pleasure in getting to know you! {:3}

    Yeah, I'm not new to Pokémon, either, but I went in the reverse order from you. :P My first game was Gold, but then after I completed Gold, I decided to play Red, but that was probably so I could kill some time before the next generation came out. And yes, I am bummed that there's no compatibility between the 2nd and 3rd generations, but at least there's compatibility between the 3rd/4th and the 4th/5th generations in terms of transferring Pokémon. Other than that, you'll really love it here at PC! We have the friendliest community around, with the best staff around here! You'll be able to make lots of friends and you can post as little as you want or as much as you want, wherever around the forum you wish to post!

    So I see you're trying to develop a game? If you want to showcase it and get any help, I suggest you check out the Game Development section here on PC, where you can showcase your upcoming game release and get any help you may need! Best of luck on your development, as you've got me really interested! (:

    Anyways, as a reminder, please be sure to look at the rules here so that you do not wind up getting into trouble at all.. the last thing we want to see here is a new member getting an infraction by breaking a small rule or two, and I have my hopes you aren't one of those people at all ;)

    If you have any questions, please do not hesitate in asking anyone around here on staff! They are the users with the bold usernames, and they're very helpful and would be glad to help you out whenever you may need it! We also have the Community Questions & Feedback section here if you have either a compliment about PC or you feel like you need to ask your questions there! :D

    Hope you enjoy your stay here at PC, Kevo! Feel free to send me a friend request if you want to! And you are also always more than welcome in either sending me a PM and or leaving a VM on my profile if you ever wish to chat with me! ^_^

    What's up Kevo! Welcome to PC! Great, great to meet you! <3

    Aw, yeah, I was a bit disappointed when the third generation came around and we weren't able to trade with older games.. but luckily we got the awesome FireRed and LeafGreen right after, so that opened up a lot of doors. If Gold is your favorite then check out the Metal & Color Generation Gaming board to discuss the second (and first!) generations, it's a great board. We have lots of fans here that adore the first two generations so it's always worth it to involve yourself in that. n~n My favorite generation was the second, third, and fifth, though third probably take the cake since Sapphire was just way too addicting of a game. Contests were, in my opinion, at their peak in this generation as well.

    Good luck with your game - I'm sure it'll be amazing! Having four generations in one game sounds like it'd take quite a long time to build, but luckily with the amount of resources in our Emulation and Game Development boards, you'll get there in no time. I'm sure there'll be people who would love to be a part of such an amazing-sounding game as well, so check out the team recruitment threads in the board that fits most with what type of game you're making! Will it be a hack or do you plan to work with programs like RPG Maker? I'll be sure to try it out whenever it's released as I've always wanted a game where we could go into more than just one or two regions. Hopefully Game Freak decides to go down that route sometime in the future and grace us with an amazing game like that!

    Be sure to stick around and have a great time on PC, Kevo! :) I'm not a game-marker but if you're ever confused on where to find certain things or where to post what, you can contact me anytime and I'll try my best to help. You can also ask any forum-related questions in the Questions & Feedback board as well, as Zach said. Lots of options for you! Remember to keep all game-making issues to their appropriate boards though, of course~ have fun and again, welcome to PokeCommunity!

    Thanks for the welcoming!

    Its going to be a "new generation" game. Its going to bring the first four generation games into one storyline, but set in the future. So you'll see alot of familiar faces, but its going to be its own story with added features. Since I wont have my Notebook till tomorrow (got from ebay), so once I get a few things adjusted and get the software and add ons, I'll be ready to start making maps (this weekend). I'm still figuring out how this plot is going to work, but will have a paragragh or two on the game's features and its plot tonight or tomorrow morning.

    I will, however, reveal the name of the game (please note that there is only ONE version):

    Pokemon Expedition: The Full Length RPG
